I got also got one about Yu-Gi-Oh! and the last zelda game for the 64. just wondering if anyone else got one and if the still had it. the video talked about what the anime was about and upcoming products that would be out.

I have it. That's the one from Toys R Us. With Ash's aunt, cousins, and Misty's best friend... They scared me. >.<

Wore it out, so I put it on my permanent tape. And what happened to the box case? Don't ask.

Goodness...that tape scared me.

I don't know if I have the video you guys are talking about, but I have a really old tape that tells about Red & Blue, as well as the beginning episode of the anime. It's weird, and I don't even know where it is now.

I've got a tape that was part of a 'Pokémon: The First movie' promotion back in the day. It details a couple of changes between the japanese and american versions of the film, as told by some company big-wigs who nobody knows/cares about, who go into long winded speeches about how they went about dumbing it down for the audience.
But the most interesting thing about the video, is the section which shows a few snippets of the animé before it went onto air. It has different voice actors, original music and everything. Though the only characters you see iirc are Ash and Oak (Oak having a REALLY gruff sounding voice, while Ash sounds like a girl), whilst the likes of Spearow and Pidgey and Pikachu are featured. For the record, all of those pokémon keep their japanese voices.

Oh, what could have been...

This is why the move to PUSA gives me hope.

Yeah, ok!
The Pokemon names are too different for them all to keep the Japanese voices. Pokemon USA is not going to give in to the Japan-o-philes when the entire franchise has been Americanized by Nintendo themselves.

It's not like the first couple of episodes were Edit City or anything like that.

Ah, it's tearing me apart: The joy of seeing the original music in the anime or the fun of seeing the look on peoples' faces when PUSA does the same thing as 4Kids.

What's funny is that in the scene with Caterpie being beaten by Pidgeon and then Pikachu taking care of the rest of the fight, Pikachu actually says "Pi Pikachu" as it poses after the capture was made like in the Japanese version. The final version of the dub, for whatever reason, has Pikachu kinda shout its name instead.

The lil' doodad the woman held was also known as the Pocket Pikachu..which then was later named the Pokémon Pikachu instead. o_O

T'was a nice introduction video, though.
