I'm new to this board, okay? I'm not yet used to the rules, so if I'm doing something wrong, please tell me

Alright, this is like the one that died back at SSMB (it died mainly because the Pokemon fad died, it's a Sonic board). The intro to the story is fairly short because of the fact that the main story comes later, and during the beginning its pretty much free for all, you can do pretty much anything-make friends/enemies, start a mini-story, etc. as long as nothing incredibly wrong that I could disapprove of happens (in which case I would PM you to edit it).
RULES:
1.No god-moding. Period.
2.No legendary Pokemon.
3.Evolving can happen, but you need a good story behind it.
4.You may start out with evolved forms.
5. Post a reasonable length.
6. Good grammar is expected. And dialogue should have a space in between. not like this: "Hi," he said. "Hello,"she replied.
7.Light swearing is allowed, but nothing too harsh.
8. You may control another's character, as long as it fits the characters personality.
9. The major plot will come on the 28th (Saturday). No sign ups after that.
10. If you're battling, don't make it seem like your character won too easily. Unfair >.>
11. DP Pokemon allowed.
If I think of something or something comes up I'll add to the rules.
Pokemon Island is an island unbeknownst to most humans. It lies in the seas south of Cinnabar Island. It isn't too large, but it isn't tiny. It is mainly a forest. On the east side is a long beach complete with plam trees. On the west is a large crystal clear lake with a beutiful waterfall. On the North and South are cliffs, meaning there is very little acessibility from there. There are paths and caves here and there around the island.This island is inhabited by all kinds of Pokemon, big and small. But the Rockets have plans for that place...

Personality: (2 lines at least)
Items, equipment: (anything it carries or wears, like a knapsack)
History: (short history of the character, at least 3 lines please)
Other: (anything else we should know?)

Name: Hypnotic
Species: Hypno
Personality: Very bold. He'd rather do something about it than stay back and wait.This usually gets him into trouble. He has a short temper and likes getting revenge.
Items: Wears a shiny silver medallion a Pidgeotto dropped whilst flying.
History: A Hypno from a very long line of Psychic Pokemon. His family lived on the island for as long as he, or any of the living members of the family remember. His mother told him of the mainland that his great great grandfather had come from. He came from some place called Berry Forest via his friend Mukuhawk (nicknamed Mutu).
Other: Very attracted to shiny things.
As I said, I'm very distracted while I was writing this so feel free to PM me about anything that's unclear or that I forgot. Thank you.
