Hey I dont know quite where to put this so dont bash me to much. I recently attended the Pokemon JA in SLC, I had a blast I was wondering who else from here was there?

is the tournament in brackets and how do you battle?

Yes, you do battle in brackets. And the battles are double battles.

I was there as well, although I had no intention of doing anything else but battling, but I least now I know some people from this forum attended besides me.

My tournamnet is in Chicago on May 27, I'm so nervous. I was really scared about the challenge thing you have to do to get in, but that was easy. I can't wait for the tournament, I'm not revealing a single Pokemon I'm using until that day.

Is the tournament really hard? Do people take it seriously, or are they there to have fun too?

Most are casual but the ones you have to worry about are those who breed and search for Shinny's as well as Pokerus. They live for this kind of thing. Do not use codes on your Pokemon. They check to make sure you didn't use them. ;025;

I know, I read the rules. I hate the idea that some people have to cheat. I feel that I would get much more glory knowing that I raised my team all by myself, no cheats.

Another thing I was also worried about, if you win and they take your game for checking, when you get it back, are your Pokemon all gone?

If I remember correctly it is all six and due to those who live for this kind of thing, I would recommend nothing less than lv100. ;025;

i have another couple of questions, can u dl the pokes offered without entering the tournament? also can u dl as many as u want or just one or just one of each ? also can u dl to more than one game?
and im sure ill think of more later lol

When I was there you could get the Pokemon without being in the tourney. If you bring all games you will polemon in all of them. Overall the tourney was great, it was 2 on 2 battles in XD that looked great. All of the Pokemon that I saw was LV 100. Most of them were the popular guys you know like Groudon, Kyogre etc. A word to the wise, make sure you have protect for at least one pokemon, there was a tactic of doing the two for one thing, thats how the 12 and younger champ did it, so watch out for it.

The legendaries that aren't allowed are Mew, Celebi, Jirachi and Deoxys.
