So do you think that Eternal Floette will be a gift or part of an encounter for a quest? They have to finally release the thing after so many years of doing nothing with it and not giving it to us. Too much work was spent creating it and making it fully functional in the Gen VI and VII games.

It had better! After over a decade of shelving that thing, we'd better get a distribution.

Anyhoo, so apparently the PokéTimes Twitter pages tweeted that the Lumiose City in the trailer is "different from the previous" Lumiose City. Much to my surprise, this could lead to the game being set in the future after all.

It seems like the plot of Legends: Z-A is a consequence of Legends: Arceus.

In Hisui, people in Jubilife Village lived separated from Pokémon. Professor Laventon and Cyllene even talk about them with kind a concern. As the journey progress, we can see them interacting and coexisting, more and more.

That made me think that the "period of redevelopment [of Lumiose City] into a city where humans and Pokémon can live in harmony" is, in part, following up the events in Hisui. Professor Laventon must had publicized his findings, the Pokéballs and his first Pokédex, motivating others to try a new ways to integrate people and Pokémon.

If that's true then that could mean wild Pokemon won't attack us in the wild(or wherever we catch them) unlike in Arceus.

But how would they been able to leave behind a "time capsule" to make sure the very first pokedex notes survive until the world had access to the internet for easier sharing, travelling and conventions ?

I think it won't be based on the past based solely on the fact that they will probably take the chance to introduce new Mega Evolutions.

Unlike PLA, the setting on the trailer seems very contemporary, so if PLZ-A was set in the past it would be a "near" past, not something from many centuries ago, and it would be hard to explain why Mega stones that existed at that time couldn't be found now.
Not to mention the game being a sequel instead of a prequel makes a lot easier to expand Lumiose without creating any continuity problem.

Also, could be just my impression, but the trailer gave me a feeling the Synchro thing from Indigo Disk might play a big part in this game.

I still don't know why people are hyping "Future" Kalos. The trailer literally shows a design blueprint for a modern lumiose City. It is far more likely to be a story about rebuilding old lumiose City(Town?) into the one we know today. Also, any "minor" differences between the XY games and Legends Z-A, is mainly just because of them being different games; and, is not a good metric to claim it to be a future setting.

Granted, it's still possible it is a future setting; but, there has been nothing that clearly implies it, yet. So best to take such rumors with a bucket off salt until we get more info.

There have been a lot of speculation on who the starters will be. Be ause of their links to Paris, they've all claimed that the starters will be Snivy, Scorbunny and Piplup. I don't think it will be the Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie lines somehow. I think that Serperior, Cinderace and Empoleon will get new regional forms for this games.

Now would be a good time to predict who we think would get a regional form and who would be perfect for it.

I personally feel that there will be at least a good few new Pokémon to add to the National Dex.

I do wonder how interconnected were the pokemon regions in the past. How much do people from different regions knew about each other given the fact that technology wasn’t so advanced.

There are many things I’ll like to know.

- Which locations are going to be available?
- Will there be new extinct pokemon?
- Will Furfrou get new trims?
- Will AZ and eternal Floette appear?
- If this takes places after the war, will there be a rebellious factions left or will there any other group that causes trouble.
- Zygarde’s role in all of this ofc
