welcome to the year of Legends Z-A
I think at the very least we'll finally see actual gameplay footage (which I think will be enough to end the debates over whether the game will be set in the past or the future) and the reveal of the starters, allowing the fans to finally put the debate to rest as to whether the starters will be the same trio from XY (Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie) or a new set made up of starters from different gens like how Legends Arceus did it.Oh, but that's for sure, we will get an update on pokémon day
Will it be a big update? That's the real question

Same here. I’m expecting a bunch of mobile game updates, maybe some animated projects and a short ZA trailer.
Possibly the final SV mythical as well if it hasn’t been scrapped at this point, hard to say given how turbulent this year has been with the massive leak.
My bingo card for Pokemon Day 2025
-Switch ports of the Gen 1-7 games
-A new trailer for Legends ZA and release date (Imagine if it comes out in stores right after the Pokemon Presents ends)
-Mobile game updates

All behind the NSO subscription and will lack Home compatibility, online connection and will be unable to trade between the versions. The Ports for the classic Pokemon games will actually come in separate collections similar to Castlevania, With the Gen 1-2 games for the first collection, Gen 3 for the "Advance" collection, Gen 4 for the "Dominus" collection, Gen 5 for the "Dominus 2" collection, and Gen 6-7 for the "Ultimus" collection.
I think it's more likely that the Gen. 3 games would be bundled with the Gen. 1 and 2 games, and as for Gen. 4 and beyond, I think remakes like Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have us covered.
I remember the leaker saying that there was still more content in store for SV(which they didn’t leak so we don’t really know what it was) but what will be released and what will be scrapped is really anyone’s guess.Depends if there was another mythical intended or not (or even if not mythical just another Pokémon added). I did want the gorilla from the Scarlet/Violet book to be a new Pokémon and some people suggested the imaginary merged beasts/Swords to be their own Pokémon (which I admit would have been cool) but beyond that I haven't seen much to indicate there would be (though I haven't paid much attention to leaks so I could have missed it)
I think the most likely scenario is rereleases again sooner or later with the PEGI 12 rating like the previous waves of VC Gen I and Gen II. Worst case the game corner will be removed in the rereleases if they now want the PEGI 3, although I don’t think the absolute youngest fans are the target demographic for these rereleases.Due to PEGI I'm not sure if they'll ever be able to rerelease any pre-BW Pokémon games ever again.
It's worse now. If any of the pre-BW Pokemon games are rereleased now they would have to get the PEGI rating of 18 (which is the highest rating over there) as they made their regulations on gambling in video games even stricter since they released the VC versions of Gens 1 and 2. Their standards on gambling are so strict now that GOTY nominee Balatro was rated 18 over there purely for containing poker-related imagery and terminology.I remember the leaker saying that there was still more content in store for SV(which they didn’t leak so we don’t really know what it was) but what will be released and what will be scrapped is really anyone’s guess.

But who knows when, you never know with Nintendo and how fickle they are with their old game catalogue.
Oh sorry, I completely forgot about that ridiculous change to the PEGI guidelines in 2020 (how removing the lines between mild and strong gambling themes is better for the consumer is beyond my comprehension). I still think it is much more likely that the old games will eventually see rereleases but with the game corner absent though. It's worse now. But then how would players get Porygon (and Porygon2 for Gen. 2 and on)?Oh sorry, I completely forgot about that ridiculous change to the PEGI guidelines in 2020 (how removing the lines between mild and strong gambling themes is better for the consumer is beyond my comprehension). Weren't slot machines replaced with Voltorb Flip in HeartGold & SoulSilver? It's worse now. They were outside of Japan I believe. Suppose that means a heartgold and soulsilver re-release wouldn't be affected. That might actually be easier than altering the original gold and silver for Pokémon like Porygon. Suppose the other option if they did re-release the originals they could make Porygon a free in-game event where you are just given the Pokémon.
