Pokemon LEGENDS: Z-A - General Discussion/Speculation Thread

I'm really hoping we get a 'Lumiose City Tour' video, or something of the sort. Just a video that shows us just how big the city is.

While my own research points to Lumiose being pretty sizable, nothing beats the real thing. And of course, it's my one hang up about the game.

After the little thing I was thinking about the Speed stat situation, I remembered that Bulldoze is programmed into the game, along with Power-Up Punch after the latter was cut from Scarlet/Violet.

That's a very interesting point. We could really use a comprehensive gameplay video.

All the stats now play a role in real-time action, so it would really help to see it. I also wonder if pokemon will have non-move attacks, similar to Auto Battles. That would be super helpful.

Yeah there's a few things i'm wondering about that a gameplay video might clarify. From the trailer it seemed to have following pokemon and there's definitely mega evolution and mega evolution seems to be on a timer but I wonder if that also means if you mega evolve a Pokémon and there's still time on the timer can you have a mega evolved Pokémon follow you to help when you go from battle to battle.

Let's not forget about surprise attacks on trainers' Pokemon when initiating a trainer battle.

Definitely a good point, the ability to get that advantage for the initial attack could be an interesting point. It could encourage going straight from battle to battle or to hide and allow the mega evolution timer to refill depending on the timer.

Just saying, the ability to stun wild Pokemon with a partner's Poke Ball carried over from Legends: Arceus to Scarlet/Violet was an interesting staple.

I have a feeling the timer will fill up automatically after each battle.

While I'd rather it didn't, I feel Game Freak will do this to streamline the game.

It's not my preference but I can't say that isn't plausible, it might well end up being how it works but even if it is I'd still be interested to see that confirmed. Perhaps in the next trailer.

One thing I'd see as a staple is the misc. task to do to earn points like in Scarlet/Violet: The Indigo Disc and confirmed for Legends: Z-A to be carried over in certain future games.

I do hope that this task bar extends beyond Z-A Royale, though. I hope it simply becomes the place where all side quests/tasks are listed.

Also, I hope there are A LOT of side quests. I want to be able to play this game long after the main story is completed.

Minor speculation but I'm convinced the Van Gogh card art will be featured in the Lumiose Museum

I wouldn't be surprised if we see tons of card art in the museum, as it would be easier than creating tons of new art for the game.
