Finished up the remaining Side Quests I was missing. Namely one involving using a Sawk or Troh, one for the "ultimate" starter moves, and one requiring spending 1M pokedollars. The first one wasn't that interesting, the only issue I had with the second one was the Meganium part since Meganium kind of sucks. I didn't have enough money for the last one(spent all my money on fashion when I initially put the game down) and finally got around to do the 5 infinite Z-A Royales I missed for The Jacinthe Tournament 0 which put me well over what I required. This also unlocked a gap in my side quest log for one involving Lebanne and a blackbelt,, which I completed immedeatly. The 1M coffee quest is one of those I really don't think should be called a side quest at all, it's just "buy expensive coffee for yourself" and nothing more.
Anyway the battle with Taunie afterwards was pretty good and I am glad there is finally another trainer using several Mega Evolutions since no other trainer takes advantage of the mechanic being timer-based and not once-per-battle anymore. I thought the scene on the rooftop afterwards was cute although I did feel kind of bad for admitting that Lida was my favorite sidekick.
Finally caved in and looked up how to get Zeraora, I had already purchased some of the bread but I have no idea how one is expected to figure out that you have to talk to a random NPC on a rooftop to start the quest, especially given how the DLC is really insistent on marking every other new thing of interest on the map no matter how insignifant. Maybe I missed a hint somewhere but if the intention is for you to reexplore the whole map for one single change then I think that's bad design honestly. I didn't really like the Rogue Mega fight that much, you constantly lose your lock-on and since the game doesn't let you free aim it's more a battle against the camera than anything else.
I also looked up G. Yamask's evolution method in case it was as ridiculous as in SwSh and I am glad I did because it is. Now the only things I am missing are Pokémon exclusive to 5 Star distortions, including Armarouge's armor. I was aware from the Pokedex that Rotom and Gimmighoul were 5 Star exclusive and I had a hunch the same was true for Frigibax and the remaining legendaries I am missing, which was proven true. Really not looking forward to it. I have nothing against a bit of grinding but grinding to me implies at least some incremental progress no matter how small, here you can play for hours and make no progress whatsoever since it's all RNG. I have gotten the Cobalion distortion but my 5 others so far have all been useless(2 Royales, 2 Rock distortions, 1 Poison distortion).
