I caught like 50 pumpkaboo but I finally got that jumbo quest done. As a bonus vanillish leveled up quite a bit, but I'm mostly just glad the quest is over, lol.

So as always, I set out to complete the Pokédex catching every species in a regular Pokeball.

I’ve been playing since the DLC came out to complete the Hyperspace Dex, getting frustrated by the RNG rolls of hoping my special scan will give me new species for the Dex.

I got fed up at points and took breaks. But this week I locked in, it’s Pokémon Day tomorrow after all, my mission was to complete it by tonight because I wanted them all ready for Pokemon day.

I started the week needing 5 legendaries, Latios, Latias, Keldeo, Cobalion, and Meloetta. Each evening I added a new one after grinding for hyperspace scan points and tonight was the night, one Pokémon stood in my way. Meloetta.

I was close to giving up because I kept getting the Eevee lvl 200 special hyperspace zone. It got frustrating but the Meloetta finally appeared.

I went in searching for it, and one of the last missions I had to complete before finding the Meloetta scan was my least favourite tasks of them all “Catch Pokemon undetected”. So I quickly switched to Ultra balls to speed up the process….i think we all know where im going here.

I locate Meloetta, I save when I find her, then straight away throw my first ball……which was by mistake an ultra ball, before I realised, Meloetta was caught. I quickly exit and reset the game but it was too late, Meloetta was caught.

So now I have the entire ZA Pokédex in pokeballs with the exception of Meloetta who is in an Ultra Ball. I feel like I just wasted months of work because in my mind I failed my mission.

Binacle joins my list of Pokemon that was the one for the “Catch a Shiny Pokemon” task where I did not have a matching Sparkling Power 3 active. Also got an unexpected shiny Machamp while grinding out a large Hyperspace Wild Zone using a Level 3 Item Power: Berries donut. Finally got a Fighting Wild Zone with Falinks after resting at the hotel a couple of times to use a donut with Sparkling Power 3 for Fighting-types.

One of the other Pokémon for said zone was Hawlucha which ended up being my guaranteed shiny. Thankfully got the small park layout so was able to “fast travel spam” to also nab my original target.

My (Mega)Froslass dominated Garchomp-Z. He was trying to Hyper Beam me over and over... This fight should've been at least as hard as vs Crabominable duo... Developers should've given it a Fire move for Ice and Steel Types.
I believe it has Hyper Beam, Draco Meteor, Earth Power and not sure what else. And lv 110 is not impressing since freaking Mego Chimecho is like lv 140.

Yeah similarly I challenged it with regular mega Garchomp. It was a short fight that never became a challenge. I overestimated it a bit.

I like how the regular pokeball looks so I caught my Diancie in one. I hope someday soon I can put her in HOME as I never had a Diancie before.

And I used one of my better donuts and ended up with like 7 extra minutes.

It's one of those dissapointments when you expect at least 20 minutes of time but you end up with 3...

Yeah. I didn't want to look it up but I assumed because this might the final legends z-a mega that it might be more of intense battle. Still at least it does offer something different for Garchomp.

I caught Xerneas!! And a shiny male Pansear on my way there! His name is Jalepeno.

All I am missing from my dex now is Yvetal and Zygarde and 4 eeveelutions (I'm trying to get them as alphas from wild zone 20. I have Flareon, Sylveon, Glaceon, and Leafeon so far.)

Just a quick heads up, Umbreon and Espeon cannot spawn as random Alphas in Wild Zone 20, so you have to evolve them yourself unless you have the DLC. Although with the Cafés it's very fast.

Good to know. I will keep an eye out for Jolteon and Vaporeon then and bring Eevees to the cafe to complete the set. Thank you! Also I have Yvetal now.

(You just said something so weird.)
I was walking down the street, minding my own business, until I saw this Scizor, who looked at me...well, looked at me weird.

Having trouble fighting Zygarde 100 forme. I keep dying to his core enforcer move. It's frustrating tbh. (I have maxed all the plushes so there is nothing more I can do to resist black outs.) Is there any safe spot in the arena where I can hang to avoid at least some of the damage?

Yes, you can look up videos on it, but if I recall and from what I’ve seen from videos if you stay near the edge and zygarde fires cores enforcer you want to be to the left or right of it because there are safe spots there.

Heck if you type up how to beat Zygarde 100% legends Z-A into google you can easily find YouTube videos on it and you could probably do the same by searching YouTube.

I will def be watching some Zygarde videos today. Thanks

I finally got Zygarde. I spent time in the za royales to level up my slowbro and froslass. I have 28 infinite royale wins and a few high level mons but Zygarde is mine!! Also my friend Brooke traded me a shiny Skiddo. His name is Skips. He's in a friend ball. Zygarde is in a plain poke ball, lol.

It has been nearly 2 months since my last post about Legends: Z-A! I've been playing Pokopia quite a bit, moved onto other games and suffered a bit with some personal stuff that has dulled my desire to play anything really. But today I found the urge to continue on with Z-A and we've made it all the way to Rank D, which means we've defeated Ivor! And Canari, which goes without saying.

To get the boring bits out of the way - I'm up to date on all the available side missions (except for the ones that unlock with Mission 20 and the Rust Syndicate), have bought all available Mega Stones besides the ones just unlocked and unless any new Wild Zones unlocked I've captured everything available up to Wild Zone 13? Nothing really of note there, I like smashing the Mega Crystals with Dragonair and Eelektross to help them stay somewhat on-level with the rest of the team, although you can see that hasn't worked out at all. The starters + Clefable just level up so quickly with equal usage it's hard for them to keep up, and Dragonair in particular is REALLY feeling it. So many things it's struggled to KO or been KO'd by it's embarrassing honestly, can't wait to get it to level 55 and finally have Dragonite. The rest of the team has pulled their weight fairly equally although Greninja and Chesnaught have taken over as the boss killers, but that's just because you fight Tarragon -> Canari -> Canari -> Gwynn -> Ivor which they happen to be effective against.

Here's how the bosses went:
Tarragon:
chesnaught.png.m.1771754000
dragonair.png.m.1771754000
greninja-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
hippowdon.png.m.1771754000
diggersby.png.m.1771754000
excadrill-mega.png.m.1771754000

Chesnaught beat Hippowdon with Bulk Up + Bullet Seed with the odd Brick Break thrown in, Dragonair lost to Diggersby due to Stealth Rock so Chesnaught one-shot with Brick Break, I taught Mega Greninja Protect to block the X Scissor but timed it wrong against Swords Dance but somehow survived a boosted Bulldoze to KO with Water Shuriken and Night Slash?

Canari:
emboar.png.m.1771754000
greninja.png.m.1771754000
dragonair.png.m.1771754000
chesnaught-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
heliolisk.png.m.1771754000
stunfisk.png.m.1771754000
ampharos.png.m.1771754000
eelektross-mega.png.m.1771754000

Emboar one-shot Heliolisk with Bulk Up boosted Power-Up Punch, Greninja lost to Stunfisk (Charge meant that Water Shuriken did less damage) so Dragonair beat it with Dragon Rush, then lost to Ampharos so Emboar came back in to win with Heat Crash + Power-Up Punch, then Chesnaught Mega Evolved against Eelektross to win with move spam.

Rogue Mega Beedrill:
emboar-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
beedrill-mega.png.m.1771754000

Heat Crash + Rock Slide go brrr, not much to say I barely took damage.

Rogue Mega Hawlucha:
clefable.png.m.1771754000
vs.
hawlucha-mega.png.m.1771754000

Dazzling Gleam + Draining Kiss go brrrr, I think we ended the fight on full health?

Rogue Mega Banette:
greninja-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
banette-mega.png.m.1771754000

Somewhat annoying because I don't know how to identify which Banette is which and forgot to teach Greninja another super effective move besides Night Slash, but we managed it anyway!

Canari (Rematch):
emboar.png.m.1771754000
eelektross.png.m.1771754000
dragonair.png.m.1771754000
chesnaught-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
heliolisk.png.m.1771754000
stunfisk.png.m.1771754000
ampharos.png.m.1771754000
eelektross-mega.png.m.1771754000

Same as before really, except Dragonair fought Stunfisk immediately and lost so Eelektross had to beat it, who then lost to Ampharos so Emboar had to repeat the last fight. Chesnaught won the same way.

Gwynn:
emboar.png.m.1771754000
dragonair.png.m.1771754000
greninja-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
banette.png.m.1771754000
gourgeist.png.m.1771754000
chandelure-mega.png.m.1771754000

Emboar crushed Banette with Heat Crash, Dragonair lost (again) to Gourgeist due to Trick-or-Treat so Emboar beat it too, Greninja didn't even take damage against Chandelure to win with Night Slash + Water Shuriken.

Ivor:
emboar.png.m.1771754000
eelektross.png.m.1771754000
clefable.png.m.1771754000
chesnaught-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
heracross.png.m.1771754000
medicham.png.m.1771754000
machamp.png.m.1771754000
falinks-mega.png.m.1771754000

Emboar beat Heracross with Heat Crash + Thunder Punch, Eelektross spammed moves to KO Medicham, Clefable 2-shot Machamp with Moonblast + Draining Kiss, Mega Chesnaught took barely anything from boosted moves from Mega Falinks and won with more move spam.

What's next? The Rust Syndicate, Corbeau and whatever other side missions appear! I need Dragonite ASAP and I'd love Mega Clefable soon too, but that's not until we defeat Jacinthe so got a ways to go yet. I'm a bit over-levelled besides my weakest two team members, who are on par with the main bosses. I suspect the game will become a bit easy until the final bosses.

Haven't been actively playing since Garchomp-z. But with Pokemon home now out I went back to it. Firstly remembered to take on Zeraora. Which unsurprisingly was mainly the challenge of keeping the player alive but not too tough. Then started the process of transferring pokemon to home and back again to fill in the home Pokedex. Got most of the base lumiose Pokedex (and then caught the ones that I no longer had on-hand like Beldum as I'd already evolved my in-game one) and even completed all the base reasearch tasks. Still have some of the hyperspace Pokedex to complete but its mainly the special scan ones (and a few like Mankey which I will need to re-encounter (some bench sitting I imagine). Also caught the Baxcaliber line, White Plumage Squawkabily and Hisuian Avalugg. Leaves the Mega evolution pokedex only lacking the Latis. One additional thing is that doing this means I have completed enough of the national Pokedex to get Pokeball Margearna (I only have two missing and they are from Scarlet so don't count towards Margearna). Not bad for a short time. I'm hoping they announce a reward for the pokedex completion at some point.

Another week and a bit more progress in Legends: Z-A, this time reaching Rank C and defeating Corbeau! Here's how the bosses went:
Philippe:
eelektross.png.m.1771754000
clefable.png.m.1771754000
chesnaught-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
medicham.png.m.1771754000
machamp.png.m.1771754000
falinks-mega.png.m.1771754000

Greninja one-shot Steelix with Water Shuriken, Emboar one-shot Scizor with Flare Blitz, Mega Eelektross one-shot Mega Skarmory with Thunderbolt.

Gwynn:
eelektross.png.m.1771754000
emboar.png.m.1771754000
clefable.png.m.1771754000
chesnaught-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
heracross.png.m.1771754000
medicham.png.m.1771754000
machamp.png.m.1771754000
falinks-mega.png.m.1771754000

Much the same as before, except Dragonair won its fight? Brutal Swing + Dragon Rush was enough for Banette apparently, then Emboar one-shot Gourgeist with Flare Blitz. Eelektross took Gengar out with Crunch + Thunder Punch, then Mega Greninja two-shot Mega Chandelure with Water Shuriken and Night Slash.

Rogue Mega Mawile:
chesnaught-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
falinks-mega.png.m.1771754000

I had to heal once because Flare Blitz kept brought it into the red, but Flamethrower and Fighting moves got the job done.

Rogue Mega Barbaracle:
chesnaught-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
falinks-mega.png.m.1771754000

I had to revive Chesnaught because I forgot to get rid of Wood Hammer on it, even after the Emboar Flare Blitz fiasco! That and when Barbaracle does the Jojo punch spam it actually rips its health apart, quite embarrassing really.

Rogue Mega Ampharos:
clefable.png.m.1771754000
vs.
falinks-mega.png.m.1771754000

Draining Kiss+ and Moonblast+ go brrr, we barely take any damage.

Corbeau:
emboar.png.m.1771754000
eelektross.png.m.1771754000
clefable.png.m.1771754000
chesnaught-mega.png.m.1771754000
vs.
heracross.png.m.1771754000
medicham.png.m.1771754000
machamp.png.m.1771754000
falinks-mega.png.m.1771754000

I taught Greninja Psyshock and Dig to fight Arbok; I only need Psyshock + Water Shuriken to finish it off. Dragonite takes out Roserade with Air Slash + Extreme Speed, before Eelektross makes Gyarados disappear with Thunder Punch. Mega Emboar smacks Scolipede with Flamethrower and Heat Crash, the latter of which gets blocked by Protect. Thunder Punch narrowly takes the KO after we tank an Earthquake + Gunk Shot.

Lida:
eelektross.png.m.1771754000
emboar.png.m.1771754000
clefable.png.m.1771754000

medicham.png.m.1771754000
machamp.png.m.1771754000
machamp.png.m.1771754000

Eelektross one-shots Clawitzer with Thunder Punch, then Emboar takes out Vanillish with Heat Crash, Dragonite slams Emolga with Dragon Rush and I Mega Evolve Chesnaught to flex on her Staryu and KO with Bullet Seed.

Naveen:
emboar.png.m.1771754000
clefable.png.m.1771754000
eelektross.png.m.1771754000
chesnaught-mega.png.m.1771754000

heracross.png.m.1771754000
medicham.png.m.1771754000
machamp.png.m.1771754000
falinks-mega.png.m.1771754000

Dragonite's Air Slash one-shots Ariados, Clefable one-shots Sableye with Draining Kiss, Greninja one-shots Krookodile with Water Shuriken, Mega Emboar two-shots Mega Scrafty with Heat Crash + Brick Break (I thought it knew Protect so went for Heat Crash first).

As you can see, my team is now fully evolved and pretty over-levelled! I reached a point when grinding for the Challenger's Ticket that I'd just train Dragonair and Eelektross up a bit more until the former evolved, and it's been a huge help as a pseudo-legendary is, naturally, stupidly powerful. I've messed around with movesets a bit - I had Flare Blitz on Emboar / Wood Hammer on Chesnaught but the recoil is a pain to deal with especially in the Rogue Mega battles, so I dropped them again for Heat Crash / Bullet Seed respectively. No comment so far on how the team is shaping up because they're all pretty strong and getting fairly equal use, so will hold judgment until the end of the game.

Beyond that I've caught up on my side quests (beyond the ones just unlocked with Mission 26) and worked on the Pokedex more, with I believe new Wild Zones now unlocked? I also have every available Mega Stone from Quasartico, and possibly the Stone Emporium but I'd need to double check. Really wish I had Clefable and Dragonite's now just to use them (soon though for the former!) but it's fine. I'll take photos of the Mega Evolved team (and a full team photo together) later on, maybe when I beat the main story! The side missions are getting a bit dull now, things like the Shuppet one (where the wife is angry) or the Sylveon one felt like a bit of a chore but we'll persevere, and I appreciate that they show aspects of the world and the Pokemon themselves?

I defeated three "rogue mega evolved forms": R. Mega Mawile (which I beat with my Mega Houndoom), R. Mega Barbaracle (which I beat with my Mega Victreebel) and R. Mega Ampharos (which I beat with my white Florges).
