Pokemon Maps

Are the Pokemon regions (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Shinou) connected or not? If they are can someone tell me to wich side and what city/town s connected. Also are the regions in Anime different than the ones in the videos games?

Ok so you obviously did'nt play Gold/Silver. If you did you'd know the left side of Kanto (first generation) is directly connected by routes to the right side of Johto (second generation), which is how you can go between both the regions in those games. Now the whole pokemon world is actually japan but in a different form (maybe parralel universe) or just the future (or both). each region for each generation is a section of Japan. The new region "Shinou" is the WHOLE of the top Japanese island (very big) Hoenn (third generation) is an island near the south (if you turn the ingame map of Hoenn sideways and look on a map of japan you'll see it) and Kanto/Johto being connected are around the east side of the main island if Japan were sorta straight. Kanto is actually the name of the real place but Johto and the rest have different names to what they're really called. So when they've made so many generations that all of japan will be used up (and they'll have to start on Korea or something lol) you'll be able to link the region maps together to form Japan. In other words if pokemon carries on for a while then there would be a region touching the top of Kanto etc.

oh god...there are so many of these... basicly, all of the regions are places in Japan and thats all you need to know, so, they are connected- ok?

It's might be a stupid question, but where the Orange Islands and the Sevii Islands? I'm clueless about them seeing how I only played Sapphier and Emerald.

They are beneath Kanto.^

sevii is below kanto i think but orange islands don't exist yet properly they're only in the anime

I think I get it now. Johto is connected to Kanto in the West side. Hoenn is Southeast of Kanto/Johto. Sevii Islands are south of Kanto and Shinou is north of Kanto.

I may be wrong but I think Mega Trickster's map is ever so slightly incorrect. I think Johto only goes as far to the left as the bit of land below "Osaka". Also the Kanto/Johto regions have been tilted about 30 degrees for the games, for anyone who cares...
