Semi-Finals
Welcome one and all to the Pokemon Masterclass Tournament! This tournament ideally will pit the best of the best against each other to determine who rules the roost. Twenty-four people will be competing for the crown but there can only be one winner!
How will this go down?
After we receive twenty-four signups, the first round will commence. Each round will last a week but the first round will be divided into a four and three day period.
If an opponent is inactive for the four days after Round One begins, they will be subbed out and the round will continue as normal for the remaining three days. The following diagram explains the scenario.
Where each row is a day and each column is an entrant.
A Green box means said entrant was active on that day;
a Red box means that entrant was inactive on that day;
and a Blue box means the substitute had taken over.
If the substitute is also inactive, they (and the person they replaced) will be disqualified.
There will be three quarter-final matches and the person who wins their quarter-final by the largest margin (1-0 or 6-0) will receive a bye into the Grand Final.
What rules will be in place?
*All matches will take place over WiFi - any matches that take place over another medium are null and void.
*All matches will be conducted in Singles format using the level 100 function of WiFi
*There will be no Uber Pokemon used in this tournament
*All Standard Rules are in effect

Common questions
Q: Will Lati@s be able to be used in this tournament?
A: No, neither of the Lati twins will be usable during this tournament.
Q: What if all three people in the quarter-final win with the same score?
A: Then those three people will have a round-robin final and the person with the most wins out of the three will be crowned the Champion. The other two will be ranked according to score or, if they're tied, they will battle again
Q: My opponent is inactive? What do I do to avoid disqualification?
A: If you have PM'd your opponent and they do not respond, mark your activity by PMing/VMing me and/or posting on this thread so we can see you are the more active of the two.
Q: I'm going to be away for the first few days of Round One. What can I do to avoid being subbed out?
A: Not sign up.

Betting
That's right. The fun doesn't end with the battling! A unique feature of the Pokemon Masterclass Tournament is that we will reward you for making predictions on the outcome of the matches!
How it works
After expressing interest in spectating this tournament, once each Round's matchups are released, you PM Femme Fatale (me) with your predictions (score is optional). If you get 70% correct or higher, you move onto the next round and repeat the processes for Rounds Two, Three and so forth.
The last better standing will be the winner. If there are more than two people left at the finals, the first person to declare their prediction (scoreline in finals is NECESSARY) will get that choice and all others receive the opponent. Then, the person who guessed the winner AND got the closest scoreline is the winner. They will receive a clone of two (2) of the prizes (excluding Shaymin and Flygon for obvious reasons).
Yes - you may take part in both the tournament and the concurrent betting.
BEST OF LUCK EVERYONE
