Well i wonder what Ash is eating when he buys a Hamburger which we could se often in the old Episodes. Is it a Miltank or what. I sure hope that he dosen't eat Pokemons.

It's been proven many times, animals exist in the Pokemon world so they use animals AND Pokemon for meat. Burgers will probably come from cows, and I doubt many Pokemon would be eaten, with a few exeptions such as Farfetch'd.

What's the problem about eating a Pokemon anyway? I never understand why people make a big fuss about it. We eat animals, so why shouldn't they eat Pokemon? It's exactly the same thing.

It think it is 'odd' how someone would eat a Pokemon though. I cant imagine anyone eating Kirlia for example.

I think it's because pokémon seem to have a much higher level of intelligence than most animals, and are often considered equal to humans. There are some exceptions, slopoke for example is nowhere near as intelligent as, say, a dog, but then they did try eating them in G/S/C o_0
Pokémon also have the ability to both reason and comprehend sentences and words, which most animals don't. Though the animals that do have that ability would never be eaten, no one would have cooked Koko the gorilla or a trained pet.

Because as Shuckle said, they're too intelligent. Also eating a pokemon would be like eating a parakeet or something. Pokemon are considered pets in the pokemon world. Seriously what would you think if you had a tauros and you saw somebody eating a tauros hamburger? You and the tauros wouldn't like it. And about the slowpoke thing, it's actually against the law I think (team rocket's doing it. The day team rocket follows the rules is the day you'll see sonic wandering around in pokemon). I don't think eating farfetch'd is allowed either, but if farfetch'd was a popular food that means that yes, people indeed DID eat some pokemon. I don't think they'd eat just any pokemon though. I think that the meat a trainer eats is from a regular animal. Every nintendo game has some connection to the Moo Moo farm. Maybe the cows there serve for the meat in pokemon hamburgers.

But people all around the world eat all sorts of animals. The most obvious example would be a dolphin; they're extremly intelligent, but they get eaten. People eat dogs and cats too, i couldn't imagine that when i was smaller, though, i'm not saying you'd eat your pet or your own Pokemon or anything.

People eat intelligent animals all the time, so i'd think they'd eat an intelligent Pokemon. But that's just what i think...

There are some pokemon where you can eat parts of them without killing them. Tropius and blissey are good examples. They don't die if you eat their banana/egg.

and no it has not been proven animals exist in the Pokemon world, it is the other way around.

so yes, they eat Pokemon however, I beleive most people in the Pokemon World actually are Vegan and for most people the majority of their food is not actual Pokemon.

May said chicken, not combusken and that probably wasn't in the original. Many foods are changed in the dub because the Americans think it's too "weird" for people to eat Japanese food.
