Yes, it's a bit early to get started. But usually the trailer is available within one week today.

Work on the summer 2006 Pokémon movie has started in earnest.

According to the blog of screenplay writer Hideki Sonoda, the screenplay has already entered its final stage, having taken about 9 months to write.

And according to the homepage of the lead animation director, Mōri Kazuaki, the trailer for next year's Pokémon movie has been made for the end-of-year commercials for the movies of the Tōhō group, and it seems that work on the movie itself has begun earlier than normal.

In an interview with Yuyama Kunihiko on the November 27 Pokémon Sunday, he visited Italy in order to strengthen his vision of 漂流神殿 - "drifting temple" - and visited the ruins of Rome, as well as the cobalt blue city of Naples. According to Mr. Yuyama, already a clear vision of the movie is ready.

The presently established situation of next year's movie:
Screenplay, storyboard is almost complete
A movie trailer will be broadcast with the other end-of-year Tōhō movie commercials.
The stage this time has Rome as the motif, with a city like Naples?
The vision of a "drifting temple". The ruins of Rome as the motif.
A link with Pokémon Ranger?
2006 summer (July?)

I'll edit this post when more info from the trailer arrives which according to Zhen Lin is about a week from now. The ruins of Rome seems pretty interesting nonetheless though.

the title is " Pokemon Ranger & the Prince of The Sea-Manaphy". Kyogre is a main character. There is a golden haired boy who is the pokemon ranger.

well..they won't give BIG SPOILERS out on the first one...

the spoilers increased every once in a while...as we got close to the 8th movie...

they'll probably do the same for the 9th...like show the MAIN POKEMON...wondering around somewhere ..lol

Well if they say it is, then obviously, its going to be.
I don't see whats bad about it anyway, considering we barely know that much about the Rangers as it is. Its far too early to be judging them just yet.

I wouldn't count on it. They usually don't reveal any of the new creatures until a few months before the film, and its usually reported in CoroCoro or seen on one of the teaser posters.

I expect from the 1st movie trailer maybe a show of a few main characters in the movie. Some scenes that really have little or nothing to do about the movies main plot. Also a mini intro to the setting of this one. i expect 4th gen. pokemon will be scattered throughout this movie but, very few or none will be showcased in the trailer.

I kinda think this is like the 5th moive...as...they only showed a few NEW ONES...and they'll do the same for this 9th moives...probably the 10th movies...is the ALL NEW REVEALIING POKEMON movies...but lets not get there...lol

if i do remember...i think in March was when that all commation of the Block in the 7th movie...was being talked about being a new pokmon or not..lol...

yeah right around early spring rukario was revealled. Then some site came across manene,manyula and usohachi. Then in a coronis we had their shadow then a few months later we saw their form.

Maybe more info about the 4th generation will also be released soon too. I wonder what this movie will be about. If it is about Ranger then, how will they fit Ash and co in? Can't wait to find out. ;311; ;312;

If they DO give a teaser about a new main Pokemon of the movie, I'd expect it to be only a shadowed version of it, so we can only make out its eyes, or some crap.

Anyways, a "Ranger" based movie, eh? That's different. Hopefully, different equals good.

Wow, it sounds very interesting. Since Italy is such a beautiful country and such ofcourse it got chosen. They based Alto Mare after Venice, Italy.

This is great news. I hope this movie will be awesome though I won't see it until 2007.

I think they do that in the 8th movie. 5th movie, they had 5 3rd Gen pkmn: Latias, Latios, Wailmer, Azurill, and Wynaut. In 8th movie, we have the 5 DPs.
