Take that back. Right now.
I was gonna say that too.
In all seriousness though, I won't blame people for disliking the first games. But I played this game just as much as Explorers of Sky and reset it just as many times like EoS, in other words I played both games for
hours, inluding trying to go through the 99F dungeons and only managing to do so in Red Rescue. I loved the post-gane stuff for both games. For Rescue, I loved the Gengar mission for back story, the search for Ho-oh using the Rainbow Wing for feeling like the search for treasure and saving Latios for Latias. For EoS, well...it's basically just two other post-game plots, Darkrai and Manaphy, but still, loved them.
So I'm personally glad it's being remade.
Plus REMIXED MUSIC. Maybe. Probably. Hopefully.

I’m thrilled to have something at least somewhat new for Mystery Dungeon. Red Rescue Team is my favorite out of the series as my first game, so I’m very happy to have a remake. It’s great that Mega Evolution will be in the game since it’s one of my favorite things in Pokémon. Since this is a remake, I hope every Pokémon will be included.
I'm very happy about Mega Evolution being added. I hope all the Pokémon get added to, even if it's just post-game stuff. But there was a Lucario shown in the trailer, so at the very least we'll get up to Gen 4.
Also did anyone else notice having a tean of more than four? I thought I was imagining things at first but there was indeed the green circle surrounding the Trapinch, Paras and Spinarak following the Pikachu and Bulbasaur. Unless it's an escort mission, but I guess we won't find out yet.
-sees people disliking the art style-
I actually nearly teared up when I saw the art style. Yeah, it would be awesome if it was at least matched, either with the models matching the maps or the other way around, but I just loved the style they picked made me think of old maps and aged hand drawn graphics, in other words, it made me think of Mystery Dungeon. But I've always been a sucker for things looking hand drawn and 2D in general so I'm biased.
EDIT: Oh, now I just remembered what it reminds me of. It reminds me of the art for Winnie the Pooh in the books.
Also I'm looking forward to how the Friend Areas look if they decide to keep them instead of what EoS did.

You can change your controlled Pokemon from the get-go now as opposed to only in the post-game.
YES. But I never really minded before since I would stick with my "starter" and partner until post-game anyway. Still, a nice touch if you want to train other teammates without making your "main team" overlevelled for the main story.

The rare trait system that's replaced the IQ system offers much of the same benefits (Including some of the "broken" skills like Absolute Mover) but with less of a grind as Pokemon can either come with them or learn them from using gummis (Which only seem to come in rainbow/DX varieties now, with the latter guaranteeing a trait). They also affect the entire party so no more needing to swap Pokemon if you need to make use of a specific skill.
Oh my gosh, yes. Those were always such a hassle. Another thing I hope they do just like EoS as opposed to Rescue Team is that when you recruit a Pokémon and they somehow get beaten, you'll still recruited instead of being lost forever. And also instant recruiting of Legendaries after going through the dungeon a second time because getting Mewtwo, the Regis and Lugia are a real pain what with their 99F dungeons.

The Dojo training courses are a nice way to get new recruits up to speed.
I also noticed the mission rewards are a lot better as I was already getting stat boosting items like Life Seeds from them.
I mostly did the dojo for completion's sake, and trained my teammates by bringing them with me.
But woah, really? That would be handy. Especially for farming Reviver Seeds. And Escape Orbs.

I'm still kinda on the fence about the game if there isn't much in the way of genuinely new content, though.
Well I'll probably get it eventually anyway, though I agree with you. It would be great if there was more post-game content. Or, even better, Special Episodes like in EoS. I really loved those since you were forced to a specific team because of the fact that it's from other perspectives.
