Pokemon Nicknames

So, what do you guys nickname your Pokemon? My Chikorita's nickname is "Chikuru," and of course I have the obligatory purposeless Magikarp I caught just for the sake of naming it "Anus"... XD

I usually name my Pokemon either nothing, random stuff or give it a name I really like.

Or I theme the nicknames after songs from my favourite bands.

Whatever feels right. In Crystal I have a team of 17 Pokémon, each named after the type I wanted to use them for. (Not like I play Crystal much anymore, though....) Previously in Gold, I had an unfortunately nonshiny Furret ♀ named Raspberry and a Meganium ♂ named AutumnLeaf, in honor of McCionnaith's shiny Otachi (Sentret) ♀ Raspberry and nonshiny Kinokoko (Shroomish) ♂ Autumn. In Gold now (I traded Rasp and AL to Silver), I have Rani the Rhydon ♀, Glub (gloob) the Golem ♀, Cindery the Corsola ♀, Suit the Sudowoodo ♂, and nonteam member Oracle the Onix ♂. Rani doesn't feel right anymore, but I'm not sure what to change it to. Rana (♀) and Raja (♂) are her parents, both Rhyhorn.

Silver names:
CARMEN - Eevee ♂ (all Eevee forms are named after characters of the same species in a certain story; Leila and Undine were actually female)
LEILA - Umbreon ♂
CYRUS - Espeon ♂
INIGO - Flareon ♂
LUKAS - Jolteon ♂
UNDINE - Vaporeon ♂
BILLY - Cyndaquil ♂ (I like the name)
YOUGOGIRL! - Phanpy ♀ (she's very strong)
MYLILMREEP - Mareep ♀ (Mareep's so cute!)
RADUHTAA - Rattata ♀ (I don't know...)
YOUKICK A! - Gastly ♀ (because she does)
DINGIK! - Spearow ♂ (he lost often, and I noticed that I would say "Dang it," but it would sound like "dingik")

Yes, I kept the actual capitalization for everyone.

Quagsire: Quashie (It was called Wooter when was the young Wooper)

Those names made me laugh so hard. I never would have thought someone would name a Snorlax SlimShady or a Miltank PurpleNurple. Those are awesome names.They sound like names Pokemon would use if that could use the internet lol

I didn't start nicknaming my Pokemon untill I got Fire Red. I wanted to nickname my Crystal Pokemon, but I'm no good at coming up with good names. I've gotten a little better though ^^;

I'm a bit boring - hardly ever give nicknames to my Pokemon. ^^;

I think it's because I get a really good name for them, and then they evolve and it just doesn't suit it.

Yeah I know you can change the nicknames later on, but it's kinda annoying to do it every time, y'know?
