Pokemon no longer on kidsWB

Well if you go and check KidsWB's schedule, you'll find that Pokémon is now missing..
Today marks the ending of the Pokemon 8th series, Advanced Battle, with episode #420: A Hurdle for Squirtle (2nd Part), and it's airing on it's longtime home, KidsWB. (Note added at 6/12/2006 15:00: This is the 2nd to last episode in the PAB arc and it is yet unknown if the last episode dubbed by 4Kids, Hand-to-Hand Fighting Dojo! Ash VS May (Japanese title), will air on KidsWB or not.. stay tuned..)

As posted earlier, Cartoon Network now has exclusive rights to air the Pokémon series and is currently showing Pokémon Chronicles, a side-story based on popular characters from the main series and various reruns of past seasons. CN plans to air season 9 starting this fall at a to be detemined time and date.

While it's sad to see our beloved show leave KidsWB (as well as get an all new awful voice cast), it does open new doors for it's growth and popularity.. or it should anyway. Here's to moving on.

Look for more information on the scheduling of the 9th season, Pokémon Battle Frontier, in the upcoming months..

Creadit go's to webmastersteave for this messege

It's most likely that "Hand-to-Hand Fighting Dojo! Ash VS May" is the last episode to air on KWB, since it IS the last episode of the 8th season and it doesn't make sense for them to not air them all.

What are you saying?

Thriller

Its almost time
KidsWB isn't going to leave the last episode un-aired. It is part of the season package and if they didn't show it, they'd waste $1,000 (which is seriously the cost of ONE episode, it might be more.)

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!

Exactly what I said. The reason why Pokemon is not on next weekend is because KidsWb is doing a Spider Riders marathon. Pokemon will most likely return the week after that.

Shift

I'll learn you good!
It's always a possibility that the episodes were miscounted and that the Dojo episode isn't a part of season 8 at all. Maybe it's not too likely, but you can never be sure...

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
The only way it was miscounted is if the Mastermind special was included in the season order. I doubt that was the case.

I was confused by the title, but, yeah, the Spider Riders marathon is just a one weekend thing. I don't see why KidsWB! would not show one episode of the series...

aww the last episode with my favorite Pokemon dub :( How sad... Veronica, Rachael, Eric, Maddie, etc. - I'ma miss ALL of you! *waves good-bye*

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
CN's scheduling department is ****ed up. At least KidsWb treated Pokemon well, aside from a few screwups, (skipping May's final Hoenn Contest and then airing it after the Hoenn legaue...)

I'd hardly call scrambling up the begining order of Jouto's episodes and skipping episodes only to later label them as "Lost Episodes" while other stations in other countries have aired them in proper order a proper treatment.

CN's scheduling is pretty much irrelevant in Pokémon's case, considering the bigger shows (Naruto, One Piece, Zatch Bell) don't get shuffled as much, it is only the anime with lesser ratings (YuYu Hakuso, Rave Master, Transformers) that get kicked around, banished to 5am and such.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
Considering that Pokemon ran for 8 years on the channel and a good majority of the time it was in order aside from a few screw ups here and there, they did a decent job.

Likewise, most of the Johto eps they shuffled around were fillers, or the Hoenn Volbeat/Illumise ep, so it didn't matter as much.

The only really blatant screw up was skipping the final Hoenn Contest, thus confusing everyone where May got her 5th ribbon from, and then not airing it until AFTER the entire Hoenn league. Which again, confused people as Glalie was a Snorunt again, and May was apparently trying to enter a Grand Festival that she finished in over 2 months prior.

I don't trust Cartoon Network anymore. They have a tendency to plow through a season quickly, then shuffle their shows tons of times without notice and confusing the audience. I wouldn't be all that surprised if Pokemon magically disappears from weekday Miguzi a couple months from now.

I only hope they treat Season 9 well.

Last I recall, Ash had Heracross before actually catching it in the order KidsWB first aired the Jouto dub. o_O

Also can't forget their decision to air the second AG movie WAY before it should have.
