What Pokemon patterns do you expect to see continued into the 4th generation?
Every other generation there are 2 early-on bugs that evolve twice so I don't expect to see that. Second generation there was very very few Ghosts I pray that dosen't happen again.

Every generation the last numerically non-legendary is a twice evolving beast(Dragonite, Tyranitar, Metagross lines.) That will definately continue.

The amount of evolving Fighting-types is steadily increasing I would expect to see that continue.

What does everyone else think?

Ya I agree, They may have like the bird thing. Every generation they had like 2 legendary birds.

Well, I was hoping that they wouldn't have weak bugs at the start, and instead have some interesting types to begin with, and have the Bug-types somewhere towards the middle of the game, per say, but .. I donno really. I'm not really good at 'predicting' things, imo.

Its funny that they always put opposites.Opposites are pokémon that are the same type or rivals that appear in different editions(Exuskull in Ruby is the opposite of Shuppet in Sapphire).That should happen again.

I think really the only one you listed that we can expect is the high numbered non-legendary evolution. But as of now, I think it is too soon to even guess.

First off, I want to get Machop very early on. Next, I want to see rarer types such as Steel or Fire very early on, and the final Pseudo-Legend will probably be a Dragon (please not Dragon/Flying), or hopefully something unusual but strong like a strong Bug.

There will also be same type opposites such as the Victreebel/Vileplume and Ledian/Ariados and probably a gazillion Water types knowing Nintendo.

In Ruby,can't you get Mawile early on?

I think they should put a Ghost type better then Sableye early on.And a steel type better then mawile.I hope they put more rival pokémon like Zangoose and Seviper!That would be cool!

Im not too sure for dragons, it could swing either way, in the first lot you only had dratini, dragonair and dragonite. Dont get me wrong, they all rock, then we got kingdra, but in the third installment. O_O . we got a nice amount so us dragon trainers can have a wider pallet. Well, they went nuts really, three legendaries that were dragons. They could give a lot or hardly any but hey, i cant wait.

What i would like to see is a legendary of each type, except for the ones we already have. or at least some really amazing ones of the types we already have. enough psychic legendaries though. how many is thier? but that would be cool though. especially the types that dont get much credit, like bugs or poison, or even a normal type legend would be nice. ya'know some variety. yeah psychic dragons were cool an' all, but PYSCHIC! is that all they want? just psychic legendaries? whats your thoughts on legendary pocket monsters?

I understand where you're coming from, there's far too many Psychic legendaries. Anything mystical and legendary is Psychic. It's getting annoying!

But there will be 2-3 00bers akin to Lugia and co, and a Legendary trio like the Birds of the Beasts. What will it be next, reptiles?

I defintly agree with you! I think that they will keep some thins and then change some things and get rid of some things. But who know but I hope some things stay and some things are getting rid of.

How many legendarys are there in total? We don't need anymore. Yea, perhaps one or two for the signature of D/P but not more than R/S PLEASE.

Ofcourse. ^^; Although, some people are speculating that they will change the types of the starters, to Rock-, Fighting-, and Flying-types, but, imo, that's highly unlikely. The kids will get all confuzzled. 8D

there also should be a small rodent-like pokemon and a small bird that you get early in the game
