I thought serebii was pronounced "(Sir or Sur)-eb-e" Well atleast thats how I say it. And for Celebi "Sell-eb-e"

I learn most of my pronounciations from the lovely anime ^^

Somewhat Off topic, but yeah. Serebii.net has so much info on it people sometimes cant even find it. I Finally worked up the courage to read about Ev's, iv's, and Dv's today. I thought it was complicated but it wasnt ^^

Notes on Japanese Pronunciation
Japanese characters are said, in English equivilents, with a cosonant preceeding a vowel, or just a vowel. For example, Japanese characters in English spell out to be things like ka, shi, mu, etc.

To pronounce the vowels...

A - ä as in Father
I - ē as in eat
U - ōō as in loot
E - ĕ as in let
O - ō as in old
Should help as to how to pronounce the Japanese names.

That doesn't make any sense. Why should we do that?

Alot of people have trouble pronoucing the names correctly in English because some of the English names are the Japanese ones so they can end up pronoucing it wrong because some letters work different in Japanese.
