Well, I know there's alot of Fanfics that are remakes of the games. Right? Well, I see not any Pokemon Rangers, so this is where I come in! My fanfic will have a bunch of stuff, like more realistic stuff, (Such as the rangers actually being HURT) the Pokemon Pinchers being badder then ever, and possible BenxSummer shipping! I know it's not too creative, but this is my first fanfic, so I wanted to start out with something easy. YAY! So, I hope yous all enjoy, and I would appreciate constructive criticism! And here, I start with the Prologue, in Summer's POV! THANK YOU!
PROLOGUE
I felt perfect. Well, understatement there. I felt like life itself was perfect. The chilly afternoon breeze rushing through my hair, no noises coming from the bustling city we had left. Nothing was stopping me from breaking through the clouds, and there was not another being in sight. The sun was shining in such a way that it seemed to warm my whole being. Life was perfect.
A protesting squawk came from below, and I opened my eyes as I broke from my daydream. The young Staraptor that was kind enough to let me ride him looked back at me, obviously meaning to tell me he was getting tired. I sighed, and scratched his head.
"Sorry, little staraptor. We're almost there." I murmured to him. Flying from one region to the next can be hard on a newly evolved Pokemon.
"Star, star ra." He replied with a forgiving tone in his voice, turning back around. Thank goodness he forgave me. Ben's staraptor wouldn't be too happy carrying two humans at once, and he was probably busy, anyway.
I yawned and looked ahead, searching for some landmark that would point out that we were above Dolce Island, since I was too lazy to check out my map on my styler. Little did I know, it would've saved Ben and I alot of trouble if I did.
At first, I thought it was my eyes tricking me, but I saw small green bursts of light on the horizon. Staraptor seemed confused as well, so I asked him, " Do ya see that too?" When he nodded, I pulled him to a stop in the air, and contacted Ben on my styler.
"Hey, Ben." I called in. "You there?" I waited for a reply as I listened to the static on the radio.
"Yep." He replied, and my staraptor turned to listen. "What's up? Are you at Dolce Island yet?"
"No. But I'm seeing these weird green lights on the horizon. Staraptor and I are going to check it out." I waited again. He seemed to be thinking.
"Okay. But be careful, it might be a wild Pokemon. I'll try to catch up." He says, and ends the transmission.
"Alright, staraptor, you ready?"
"Raptor!" He replied, and set off towards the continuous lights, gaining speed as he went. As we got closer, I began to see silhouettes that looked like humans on platforms... And as we got even closer, I noticed they seemed to be closing in on a red, dragon like pokemon. Then I realized it wasn't the pokemon firing the balls of light, it was the humans!
"Staraptor! We need to help that Pokemon!" I exclaimed. He obviously agreed, because he sped up as we closed in on the Pokemon - hunting people.
"Hey!" I shouted. "What are you doing!? You're gonna hurt that Pokemon!"
Both of the people whipped around in midair, revealing that they were on strange, levitating platforms. They were both wearing some sort of uniform that was a dark green, but I couldn't see it that well with my goggles on.
"That's none of your business, ki-" He cut himself off. "The uniform... The Pokemon... The styler! It's a Ranger!" He exclaimed to his freind. His eyes were already widened with the realization.
"Well, you're slow, aren't you?" I taunted. The man that was talking glared at me, and replied, "Why you little - We'll stop you with our Pidgey!" He exclaimed, and a seemingly crazed Pidgey flew from behind him.
I readied my styler as I pressed a button that allowed Pokemon capture. The Pidgey dashed towards my staraptor, but he maneuvered and I twirled the styler and wrapped, one, two, and three circles around it before it could make another move. The tiny Pidgey blinked and looked around. It peeped out a "Pidg, Pid!" And flapped off as quick as its wings would carry it. I laughed a little at the cute bird pokemon, and looked back at the Pokemon hunters.
"I've... never seen a sky capture as graceful as that..." One of the men remarked. I smirked, as the other one said, "You captured our pidgey! And the Latias got away, too! You're gonna pay for that! We'll shoot you down with our Plasma Cannons!"
"Yeah!" The other person said, and shot a purple ball out of their machine. Fear twisted in my stomach as I maneuvered Staraptor out of the way as one after another plasma ball was shot, until all I heard from their machines was a hollow clicking noise.
"What!? My cannon ran out of energy!"
"Mine, too!" The other remarked, agreeing with his teammate.
"I know!" The one on the right said. "We'll just ram into her!"
"Well, atleast let it be a fair fight." I heard a voice say, as Ben and his Staraptor flew next to me. "You can't fight two on one."
I smirked. Two rangers would be impossible to beat, atleast with these grunts.
"Oh yeah? Well, we have another one on our side, too!" The man said, and I moved out of the way as a woosh of air came from under the clouds, and another one of the hunters came out. But this one was different. His hovercraft was a red color, and he was in a red uniform that looked different from the others.
Well, there goes that impossible to beat part. I think, as the person says, "Have you been messing with my men!?"
"Only because they were chasing an innocent Pokemon!" I snap, my patience flying into the wind.
"And our plasma cannons ran out of power, trying to chase that brat!" The other person yells.
"You call her a brat?" Ben says, taking part in the fight. " You were the ones who were being brats, doing that to a pokemon!"
"Why you little,.... I'll teach you a lesson! You don't talk to ME that way!" The man in red shouts. I see him preparing his cannon...
No, I can't let anything happen to Ben! He doesn't know what's coming! I think rashly. I hear the blast of the plasma cannon, and throwing all caution away for my friend, I jump off my staraptor in front of him, feeling a horrible burning sensation in my left arm as I start to plummet toward the ocean.
I don't hear anything as I try to adjust myself to break my fall, trying to ignore the pain. Before I could do anything else, I feel the impact of the water, and everything around me dissipates.

I open my eyes, surprised that nothing happened. That Plasma Cannon stuff was probably a bunch of bogus. They were just trying to scare Summer and I.
But the people were now laughing. The man in red said, “One ranger sacrificing herself for another!” He chuckles again. “How heartwarming!”
“… What?” I ask, puzzled. Summer wouldn’t- I looked next to me. No staraptor. I didn’t even hear her scream. “Where…?”
The man just laughed even more, so one of the other men spoke up. “Well, right now, she’s rather plummeting toward the ocean with a very painful burn, in the ocean with a very painful burn, or dead.”
“What!? DEAD!?” I looked at my staraptor. “We gotta go help her! I couldn’t let her-“
“Oh no you don’t.” The man in red finally says, still chuckling a little. “You’re coming with us. You have some information about the Ranger Union that we could use.”
“But- She’s more important! She could be dead !”
“Pfft. Not in this case.” The other person says.
“I’ll just-“
“Boy,” The red one cuts me off, “Don’t make me hurt you, too. And you wouldn’t want anything to happen to your Staraptor, would you?”
I was silent. There was nothing else I could do.
“Fine. But that doesn’t mean I’ll answer your questions, or anything.”
“Ha ha. Sure it doesn’t.” The red one replies. “Men, blindfold him. Take the Staraptor and do the same. We don’t want them seeing where our base is.”
“Of course, sir.” They reply.
And that’s where my life took a complete downfall.
Sorry I added another part, but I was going to make it in Chapter 1, but it fit better in the prologue. If it's not allowed, I'll change it...
