Alright. You're one of the best spriters here and I aspire to be of your level, so I figured I'd try to give you some serious critique. Ryubane seems to have covered some critique your sprites could use, so I don't have much to say.

Chewii is a great sprite and design, but I find the contrast between it's shading and skin colour to be much too close. The shading colour needs to be slightly darker, perhaps by a lum of -10 or so. Trust me, I've had this problem with my sprites before aswell, and it turned out much better. I'm not telling you to change the colour of its skin, just make the shade a slightly deeper colour so it's more noticeable.

A similar thing could be said about Muttl, where at first glance I can hardly notice the amazing shading you've put into that sprite. The light shading really detracts from making it look more dynamic.

As for your designs in general, I'm quite fond of them. They have that sort of unique touch that makes Pokemon "Pokemon, and each sprite has its own sort of energy or mood to it. My only concern is of your Fire starter, Firebrat and co. The fact that it's Fire/Dragon would hypothetically put it at an advantage over the other two starters, as it would take neutral damage from your water starter, and the water starter would have no real way of easily beating it, unless it learned a rock move leveling up. I only have this concern because typically, the water->fire->grass type triangle is kept throughout the whole evolution chain. Blastoise beats Charizard, Empoleon can beat Infernape (hypothetically if Infernape didn't KO it first with a fighting move) etc. Of course, in Sinnoh's case, the triangle goes full-circle.

I also have a question. Would I be able to use your "pokedex format" for my own region? I'd happily give credit for it, miss Cece.

So it seems the biggest problem with the majority of my sprites is the lack of contrast between shades, so I'll definitely have to go back and ramp it up.

I probably will have Otrrewa's line learn a rock move or two as it levels. I really want to keep Skorrat as fire/dragon. It's also supposed to have a low SpeD, w/ Lutrain having a high SpAt, to help even it out a bit. xD; They both have high speed. Skorrat's stats pretty much render it mostly useful as a physical sweeper.

At some point I might end up changing Skorrat to Fire/Flying. Then he would pretty much be obliterated by Lutrain no problem xD;

I'll probably start putting stats up with the pokedex once I get most of the pokemons done/start working on the game.

Feel free to use the format. Credit would be appreciated. <3

Love the idea of a Fire/ Ice. Really rare combo. Nice sprites BTW. The colors are really soft and nice. Keep it up! :]

I'm loving the new artwork, Cece. <3 They really bring out the designs of your Pokemon. Though, the random hairs bug me for some reason. xP I know it's just your style though. No worries.

These starters are way better than the official ones for the 5th gen. Great job, I'm looking forward to muttl's evolutions :)

Also, on Chewii's description, it should be 'Thought' instead of 'Though'. If it was though, it would still be extinct :)

sprite has been updated.

New sprite:

Just generally fixed him up. Didn't like the original, the pose was awkward.

Also: changed the colors on firebrat:

What program do you use to make the pokemon art at the top and bottom? I assume it's Adobe Illustrator? I could be wrong.

I'm loving Chewii's new sprite and pose. He's still as cute as ever. And his colours are more vibrant as well. And same goes for Firebrat's new sprite. The colours are much better.

I used SAI Paint Tools for the artwork.

No time no see, Cece! Sorry for the inactivities, but I have been stalking this thread for updates, I just don't feel like posting anything that can include criticism...

Until now.

I have a problem with Glaciare's legs, and I'm pretty sure that you have as well, seeing as you try to fix it on the previous page. I'm trying to describe it to help you, but this is very hard to explain, so I decided to make an image to point them out, since it's easier with diagrams :B
HERE.
Try to think it as a 3D model in your mind, it's all about persective and visualisation if you want to get it right.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that the legs should be in the same pose as each other.

Another thing I want to say something about is your "shiny" colour palette. Seems more like a slight hue change rather than a "alternate colouration".

So compare these:
009.png
009-S.png
151.png
151-S.png

To these:
Spr_4d_447.png
Spr_4d_447_s.png
Spr_4d_159.png
Spr_4d_159_s.png

As you can see, the offical sprites puts in different colours in each set of colours. To make the statement that I just said more easier to understand, I'll throw in an example for you. On Vixsun, all the colours have been added a more reddish-purple tint, while Riolu's blue body is changed into yellow and the black into a more teal colour. The different colours get different alternate colours. Hopefully that made more sense now.

... I-I think I lost all my critic-mojo from my absence, but I'm trying my best.

Augh, Kiogrey. I LOVE you. This is the kind of stuff I want to see.

I definitely will go back and alter all the shinies. I'm just kind of lazy ;3

As for Glaciare, I am fully aware of that little line and such. I've tried sooo many variations on his legs, and trust me , adding a line makes it look worse. Mussy. Also, The legs are set back and it's a near-frontal view, so there doesn't need to be a line in the first place, unless it's showing the belly.

Good news IS, I'll be completely redoing him anyway. I'm going to animate these B & W style, so his jumping pose isn't usable.

If anyone cares, the reason for lack of updates is because it's taking sometime to animate them.. xD; It's rather time-consuming.

Although what kiogrey said is relevant, some pokémon only ever undergo a slight hue change. Almost all water pokémon have shiny forms that are pink or purple instead of blue. For example: Wailord, Kyogre, Swampert, Quagsire, Vaporeon, Walrein. I think I've proved my point. To conclude, I believe Lutrain's shiny palette suits it perfectly.

Hey Cece, amazing work as always! Did you say you used SAI Paint Tools for the custom artwork? Do you have any tips on how to use that program for making pokemon artwork, because I have my own fakes and cannot do them in for example Sugimori stlye on paint :p

I can honestly say that I like these pokemon more than the 5th gen ones we've seen thus far. Who needs Black and White, give me Russet!

I'm not dead! Been working on stuff for MRO (Monster Ranch Online, check it out) that I can't show you. xP I've been pretty busy, but I'm still gonna try and update here regularly.

Took out shinies for now, I'm gonna change them.

NOTE: Some of my sprites will be used by MRO. Please don't go around and accuse them of art theft, they have permission! xD

Hm, it's a very good concept.

For the middle one, how about Mantiddy? (Mantis+Giddy)

Withooasaurus

Dinosaur man.
Orchantid has been very well sprited. Well done.
With Necrostyx, the back leg which is faces us, it looks too wonky, try messing with the outline abit, it just just look consistent.
