I get the feeling Team Star will be another Team Skull or Team Yell situation, where they're not the game's main villains and there'll be a poorly handled twist where someone else (I'm guessing Chairwoman Geeta) is revealed to be the actual villain. Either way, I like Mela's design.
Good to see another Gym Leader as well, but I can see Brassius using that Crystal thing (I can never remember what it's called) to make Sudowoodo a Grass-type will be a pain to deal with. I wonder if that will be a thing with all of the Gym Leaders? Where they each have a Pokemon that isn't the type they specialise in, but then use the Crystal thing to turn them into that type.
Pokémon designs are really on point this gen. Armarouge & Ceruledge are looking great! Armarouge really looks like a candidate to join my team. (Especially since Paradox Pokémon seems to be postgame)
Klawf is just so goofy it's adorable. Don't know if I will use one though.
The “different paths” felt a bit underwhelming tbh. It’s basically Pokémon League / Evil Team / Lore, which is what existed in each game so far. They definitely overhyped this with all the marketing, but I guess that’s what marketing is for.
Being able to choose when to do what seems nice at first glance, but I’ll wait and see how they execute this. If there is no level scaling and you need a certain amount of badges so that Pokémon listen to your commands, then it really wont be that much of a difference compared to your average Pokémon game.
And it is something you actually have to battle, you defeat Team Star Bosses by battling their team and Starmobile (most likely attacking the Engine Pokemon).
Also with Schedar being a specific branches within the organization, that means there are 4 more branches.
Thats how many make up the Cassiopeia constellation, the one that Schedar belongs to.

I love Armarogue and Ceruledge! I'm getting the dual pack but Violet's gonna be my main version, and I'm feeling even better about it after seeing Ceruledge. Idk if I'll use it in my main file since I'll most likely be starting with Fuecoco but I really love its design! And I love Klawf. He looks silly and I like that.
I don't love the Team Star grunts (they just look a little generic? I feel like they could've done something to make them cooler), but I do love Mela. Her shoes are ridiculous and I love her. I wonder what the other branch leaders will look like? I assume there will be others, anyway, since it specifically said she's the fire squad leader, and since the website says "bosses," plural. I'm hoping Geeta doesn't turn out to be an antagonist bc I think that might be a little too obvious at this point, but I do love her design. Brassius is neat and I like how he uses the new gimmick to make Sudowoodo his gym's type!
Def interested to see more about the titan Pokémon from Arven's path. I wonder what the ultimate reward is for completing that route? Or maybe he just cooks for you and that's it?
Great trailer! I love Klawf he is such an adorable little grab. I wonder if each Team Star leader specializes in a type not covered by the gym leaders. If so we basically can have every type covered in some way.
What if Penny's the "twist villain" in the Team Stars path? We know that this has to be her path and yet we don't see her in that segment. Maybe she turns out to be the boss of one of the branches that tasks you with fighting the other branch bosses in an attempt at uniting the branches under one leader.

So, do you guys think Team Star will be the big bads of the game, or do you think there will be a repeat of what happened in the last two generations, with an even bigger evil lurking in the shadows?

I don't see her as leader material, but I could see her being related to one of the leaders and gives us insider info that people not friends with Penny wouldn't know. Maybe by the end of the star path, after taking so many of her grunt friends out, she does twist into a rival and we have to beat her to keep her on the good path lol
So the whole “three stories” thing was… just the same plot points we’ve had since Crystal but divided into three piles? And there’s probably no level scaling? Um. Well. Anyway!
However, Ceruledge is hands-down the best design in the series since like Gen 4 and it’s the sole reason I’ve decided I’m definitely buying Violet. I’d literally do a solo of the entire game with it if we’re possible through breeding and reading an egg, or something.
