Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future

Just had my first apricorn ball auction today. A love ball. Those prices jump up real fast. Cost me ₽205,000.

I've tried a few of those yesterday. Had to step away from a few given how much price skyrocketed.

I'm half starting to think wild Dunsparce can't evolve into three segment Dudunsparce (I'm aware wild Dundunsparce cannot be Three Segment form). I must have caught and evolved well over a hundred by now with no luck. During this period I caught a Shiny Dunsparce, and a max-size Dunsparce (now that was a surprise), but no three segment one. So I guess I've been lucky a couple ways and unlucky another.

Probably going to break down and start hatching Dunsparce with Hyper Drill in order to evolve them faster. I had wanted to catch a wild one while using Humongo Power for Normal types for an increased chance to get a really long three segment Dundunsparce, but at this point I just want to see a Dunsparce actually evolve into three segment form.

Per Bulbapedia: “In Generation III and IV, where the encryption constant was not distinct from the personality value, due to how Nature was determined, Hardy nature Dunsparce with Serene Grace have a 50% chance of evolving into Three-Segment Form Dudunsparce if transferred to Generation IX. Dunsparce caught in those generations with other Natures, or with Run Away, will always evolve into Two-Segment Form”

I think this is how I’ll be obtaining my three-segment form one. Just a thought for you.

Was messing around with sandwiches since I haven't used the mechanic besides 1 instance of getting Applin. Wanted Shiny Oricorio so made a Fire sandwich. Didn't have any luck so reset my game to save my ingredients then went to work. Came back from work to try again. As I'm walking out of Artazon to make a picnic, the first I saw was a Shiny Oricorio! Mind you this is without the sandwhich boosts (my only boost was the Shiny Charm) so ofc I had to catch it. Even came with a mark!

After that I ran around watching its animations and ended up outside of Levincia. Out of curiosity, I decided to fully explore the beach area since I only came here when I saw a Shiny Wiglett. I'm about to cross the water when I see a Shiny Finizen. It almost immediately submerged and I was dashing around it trying to get it to come up. Thankfully I managed to catch it. 2 Shinies in like 15 minutes was a good way to end my day.

Caught a second shiny Shinx, this time with the Intimidate abilty (the first one had Rivalry). Also bagged a Ditto from a 5-star Raid, main "strategy" was going in with a newly hatched Fuecoco with only Leer and letting the AI teammates whale on the defenceless thing. With my Pokedex nearing completion have been taking some time training a few more Raid Pokemon, hopefully I can get Slowbro up in time for the Cinderace rerun.

Finished the Scarlet main story, and before I do the post-game I am going to use my newly captured bully Koraidon to grind and evolve and add to the dex. While I could kind of guess certain plot threads like that one character was an antagonist (because since Gen 7 Pokemon hasn't had a clear main antagonist and has kind of dropped a truly evil team) but I was not expecting the endgame to be what it was, even when I was mildly spoiled in some ways

My final team is Paella the Skeledirge, Paraguay the Pawmot, Crusher the Tinkaton, 420 the Brambleghast, Palindromic the Farigiraf and Frosty the Baxcalibur, currently sitting Lv 65-67

Went to check the Cinderace raid (I can still do it daily as long as I don't go online) and turned out to be a Revavroom with fighting tera type.

Used the Slowbro strat on it, even testing the Life Orb I put instead of Twisted Spoon and it worked nicely.

As for Ace... It was something strange. First it crit me but then, thanks to the AI allies, it was paralyzed. Then it got to NOT move for like 3 turns allowing me to stack boosts and set the terrain before the big Stored Power.

It didn't one shot but it did put the bunny on very low health.

Not going to lie, if it wasn't for the risk of the boss wiping all stat changes, I'd try to stack a few more stats with the cheers.

So I started Scarlet last week, and I am very much enjoying this so far. I've just beaten Cortondo gym, and am now continuing my training before going for the Titan Klawf.
Thoughts so far: the region is lovely - a nice variety of landscapes, even in the early parts, and is great fun to explore, although it is easy to get lost in some places. Like in Sword, you can also get a wide variety of Pokémon early on - I have already have 100 registered in the pokédex - and raids do help with that. The threefold nature of the storyline is a nice idea, and I'm looking forward to continuing.
I've not done many picnics yet, but it seems like a good successor to camping.
The different arrangement of the menus is a bit strange, the pokédex not being accessed from the main menu especially, but nothing I can't get used to.
Tera Raids are interesting, as the battle system in them is different to anything else. (Whereas Max Raid in SwSh just run on 4v1 battle). Which leads me to the only real complaint I've had so far - they've managed to make the system for joining in raids online even more annoying than it was in Sword.

Beat my first 6-star Raid (Normal Tera Frosmoth) using Belly Drum Iron Hands. Don't know whether it is due to its moveset but Frosmoth kept spamming Snowscape to no avail save for popping the occasional Blizzard. Bitter Herb Mystica so far has been my most common Raid drop so far currently having four in my possession.

Finally got a chance to play again. Honestly didn’t do much, just beat Eri now trying to grind for E4/Arven/Clavell. My pokemon are only 50s now so we’ve got a way to go. The issue was using so many reserves made me underlevelled across the board. I could use exp candies to catch up (have a bunch) but it feels wrong for some reason. I’ll see how I go. But I think I’ve finalised my team for now, it’s Skeledirge, Pawmot (kinda op ngl), Bisharp, Salamence, Arctibax and Grimmsnarl. Hope Arctibax evolves soon but not sure atm

Anyone else noticed any hints in this game for next remakes?

In Cascaraffa the rough and tough shop has 3 sport backpacks in different colours

One is scarlet violet and grey
One is black white and grey (unova?)
One has gold white and blue/crystal (johto?)

I've reached the post-game. Before I re-challenge the gym leaders and overly attached Nemona I am going to try and fill out my Dex, via Surprise Trades and revisiting past areas. For levelling up Pokemon to evolve them I have chosen Koraidon for that task as I want to hold off overlevelling my team..the open world and avoiding as much spoilers as possible has both let me enjoy the ride more than given me more of a challenge...except at some points like when I dealt with Titan Crab after Titan Great Tusk (lol what an anti-climax). Right now they will sit at Lv 68

I think when (I'm confident its not going to be an if) DLC comes, I'm going to use the Paradox Pokemon as my team. Might as well give the fancy new archetype time to shine instead of wasting away in the box. I just managed to find where Roaring Moon is hiding and I have three...one for the DLC, one to trade for Iron Jugulis one day and one to put in HOME when it inevitably is able to connect with SV. Same with the rest of the Paradox Pokemon. Anyone notice that Roaring Moon's hidey hole has some curious patterns on the floor? I wonder if this is meant to imply something in a future DLC, Roaring Moon/Iron Jugulis is somehow a special Paradox Pokemon....or it is just something they did for fun and to troll Pokemon theorists

I finally found Toedscool and evolved it into Toedscruel. I currently have over 200 Pokémon and evolved some of the ones that I needed to evolve. Still working on the Ruin Legends side quest.

Stayed up all night to finish it. Done main story and area zero section, along with gym leader/team star boss rematches. Honestly wasn’t expecting to but I realised I could win halfway through the Arven battle so I just kept going lol. I enjoyed my time with this game and it has a number of great boss battles. Honestly across the board I think these fights are the best in the main series, albeit some games have better individual ones

Also gotta say, man Arven’s story was great. Didn’t expect much going into it but he’s the best character in this imo

I just can’t do it! I purposefully set out to get Toedscruel from Toescool, and the little $hit won me over! With his quick little dash on those furious little legs, that vigorous little spin-kick he does, how could GF come up with such an incredible design?! So mine sits at lvl. 63, Modest, and full of life. I have a feeling he’s going to wind up like my Dewott in B2 and stay permanently unevolved.

Beat Path of Legends last night, and Starfall Street the night before. Getting to the point where I break it off with Nemona and descend into Area Two. Had to purge a bunch of early game Pokes last night because it’s getting crowded with all the Tera Mons coming around. Game Freak needs to increase the number of boxes before DLC comes around, because we’re getting pretty full with just the 400. And I’m not getting Home just for that.

I just threw a Quick Ball as soon as I saw it and threw out Quaxval. I caught it too!

Started the second semester by taking Biology & History classes. After hearing the story about the Treasures of Ruin from Ms Raifort I decided to take in Wo-Chien again since I opened the gates & lost last semester. It was a tough battle, but my pokémon pulled through and I managed to catch it in a Timer Ball, though I’m not sure how to train it yet.

Right now, I’m training my Charcadet since she wants to become a strong fighter like Korrina’s Lucario, & after reading about the Charcadet story in the library, I heard there’s someone in Zapatico that can help her evolve.

Main Team:
  • Pacheco (Quaxly)
  • Dolores (Tinkatuff)
  • Carlos (Espathra)
  • Taborda (Primape)
  • Laia (Charcadet)
  • Ainhoa (Frigibax)

Reserves:
  • Arturo (Lokix)
  • Adrián+Sara (Maushold)
  • Tiago (Gholdengo)
  • Yerjet (Wo-Chien)
