Pokemon Snap Question

My brother is playing Pokemon Snap and there's a Vileplume that he needs to take a picture of before he can advance. Prof. Oak says to hit it with a Picture Ball and it'll wake up and come out of the ground, but when he or I do it, it doesn't work. :/ He's really upset about it too. He also needs to get Mewtwo, but where Mewtwo appeared before, he doesn't appear there now. >_>;

Can anyone help my brother and me? Thanks if you can ^^;

Where do you get the Poke Flute? I don't think my brother told me that he has it. ?_? Sorry. I haven't really been playing the game, only going on what my six-year-old brother told me.

Well...you take lots and lots of pictures and such if I remember corectly. Oh wait, thats right! He has to earn some odd amount of points!

There are some shining lights somewhere. Tell your brother to take a picture of them. I think they look like crystals or something. At first they don't look like Mewtwo, but after you take a picture of them they do. I think that's how it went. Its been a while since I've played the game.

I think you can only do it if Oak's given you the task of getting the Pokémon signs. When you go into the cave, I believe it's on your left when you first see Jigglypuff and Koffing.

The cave is the fifth place on the map. You have to throw a Pester Ball at the thing in the bushes towards the end near the big red button ([SPOIL]It's a Porygon[/SPOIL]) and then it will hit it and some doors will open and the current will change, the Speed Pikachu will be watching as you enter the Cave.

Vileplume: When you get the Poke Flute at some point, play it.
Mewtwo: There should be some star-typed things somewhere in the sky. Take a photo. When it develops, it will be Mewtwo. Kind of like when you take the pictures of the spheres in the tunnel, they become Haunter.
