I'd like to see other peoples Hall of fame teams at the pokemon league.

Like in Origins when Red is entering his pokemon into the HoF, you can see everyones pictures on the wall.

Maybe, Just thier first run through, so the HoF isn't cluttered with one trainer

This could be done with data collected when you interact online. Then you could even battle the collected teams in like a champion's tournament.

NOOOOOO!!!

I'm alright with having a few customization early on, such as choosing skin tone, eye shape, and those kinds of things. Maybe even a couple of outfits.

But building and expanding your wardrobe and options is part of the fun of having the feature implemented!!!

The hell it is.

The majority of attire available I don't even buy. Even worse, most of the attire I do want doesn't even show until near the end of the game. I don't want to have to travel the whole darn region just to get that one shirt I've been looking for. I want the option to customize my character from the start.

You know, after seeing clips from LGP/E I'm interested in actually interacting with our boxed Pokemon. I liked Poke Pelago but I think it could be better if we could physically visit and interact with them. It'd be cool to see a bunch of Arceus interacting, lol (not that I have a bunch, sigh).

I doubt this will happen but I think it'd be cool if there were 18 gym leaders all over the region and instead of the Elite 4 focusing on one type, they had a balanced team like the Champion. I never really understood why Pokemon Masters (if they are indeed Masters) would rely on mainly one type when throughout the game the player character is often told to not rely on merely one type and how often the type effectiveness is thrown in our face. Maybe the Champion is Champion simply because they are the only ones who followed the advice of the NPCs, lol.

Yeah, maybe we could have our partner Pokémon interact with other Pokémon in the overworld too. It would be interesting to see them run off for a bit but maybe they will run back to its Trainer once a battle starts.

I personally doubt there will be 18 Gym Leaders but it will be interesting if we have a specialist of every type in the region. They could give us interesting rewards like Z-Crystals.

True there will probably never be a region with 18 gym leaders, but I would settle for a type specialist like you said. I really hope they get away from the Elite 4 having specialized types though.

It'd be awesome to have races with riding Pokemon as part of mini games, I can imagine riding Arcanine, or Aerodactly and trying to outspeed other trainers. I think there's so many cool mini-games they could do in Pokemon (lol, this reminds me of the light novel version of Sword Art Online when Kirito is waiting on Asuna to appear and lampshades how he wished he "had a video game or something" despite being literally trapped in a video game).

Yeah, I'm still hoping the Elite Four will still stick to specialist types.

I'm also on board with riding Pokémon as minigames. Skiddo had potential as a riding Pokémon in a potential minigame in X and Y but that opportunity was missed. Hopefully Game Freak will take a good opportunity this time to have Pokémon riding minigames.

Okay, am I the only one who thinks this latest update about "there was a time when players felt bad that they couldn't transfer their Pokémon forward" sounds kind of ominous. Like, he's saying: Remember when you couldn't get Pokémon from Gen 2 into Gen 3 and we had to do remakes to get everything in the current Gen? Am I misinterpreting this or is Masuda implying that the $60 each, GO-styled remakes might be the only way to get certain Pokémon into Gen 8?

Someone tell me I'm panicking too early over nothing and help me calm down, please.

Your panicking too early and misinterpret it, it is directly referring to pokemon we have in our 3ds to transfer over to the gen 8 game on the Switch console WHICH is going back to the normal formula. In addition to something being done about those pokemon since a lot of pokemon we worked hard for or had over the years are not among those we want to leave behind. (XD-001 being a personal treasure of mine.)

So what type of Easter eggs that reference other regions do you think we will get in LGPE? I think we might get a cameo from one of the Trial Leaders and/or possibly Hau, Gladion, And Lillie. I really hope Lillie shows up or is at least mentioned. It’d tie up loose ends from Alola. I’d also like to see Zinnia return as she was a rather unique and interesting character the series really hasn’t seen that much of. She could easily get a Komomoo-owith it’s signature Z Move.

I appreciate it when NPC's mention events from previous regions or generations. My only wish would be they not just focus on references to Kanto. There are other regions out there which makes it an actual Pokemon world.

Did you mean to post that in a thread about LGPE rather than in a thread about the Gen 8 game coming out next year?

Hehehe, I did that too the other day.

I still think Kukui or Samson Oak will show up due to the presence of Alolan Pokemon.

Yes. I probably clicked on the wrong thread. It’s a bit confusing for me with these two separate games and which is considered which Gen since they are being released within a year of each other.

Yup it is. I suppose I have it easier since I only really follow this one and hardly look into the other forum.

Although I think it's unlikely either of them will be in Pokémon Switch 2019, I think that Samson Oak could be in the game to help the player obtain Alolan forms. Not too sure in what way but maybe he could either give them out as a gifts from rewards or he may give items that allow the player to obtain Alolan forms.

land instead of the Elite 4 focusing on one type, they had a balanced team like the Champion.

I pray this never happens.

There has always been something special about gym leaders and Elite Four members specializing in certain types. It makes them unique and memorable. I would personally love if they added on that, and gave gym leaders additional specialties, such as a Water-type leader who utilized speed in battle, or a Fighting-type leader that specialized in critical hits. That would make things even more fun and challenging.

In terms of lore, it's because they're Pokémon Masters that they are able to do this. They are strong enough to utilize a single type and still win. Just as Karen herself said, truly skilled trainers should try to win with their favorites.

I've been doing this myself lately, actually. Playing with only certain typed pokemon creates a strong challenge that pushes you to be better than normal. I played and beat all of Sun and Moon with a Ghost team, and I plan on beating Let's GO with an Ice team. It certainly won't be easy, but that's the point.

Karen does have a point, if they decide to keep that tradition the same then I hope they add things like buffed stats or items to each Pokemon. To me there's not enough difference between Elite 4 members and the "full" power of re-battled gym leaders so it will continue to be a personal wish of mine that they abandon that tradition.

I guess difficulty settings took on that kind of thing in B2W2, but unfortunately they were only available before beating the game. Hopefully there will be difficulty settings from the start of the game so that we can have harder battles in Challenge Mode, especially against Gym Leaders and the Elite Four. Maybe we'll face full teams with held items through that as well as the last Gym Leader.

That'd be great! I mean hopefully they're so innovative in this game that they won't even need a difficulty system and it will just be naturally hard. Heck I've been replaying Persona 5 and I still lose sometimes (mostly because of being stingy with my potions or SP, lol) so hopefully this Pokemon game is just naturally geared towards teens (and adults) whereas LGP/E can be geared towards children. I think it's time for a T rated Pokemon game!

If they're going to show cut scenes I hope their similar to the Gen 5 cut scenes where you see the Pokemon actually fighting each other (like Kyurem vs Reshram/Zekrom).

It's almost time for that lol. I've heard from somewhere these games will be intended for veterans of the series, which is something I've been looking forward to. Maybe it's even time for more in-depth and intense cutscenes.
