The 3rd one will have the National Dex I imagine and they'll add new Galarian forms and Dynamax's as well as new Gym Leaders I imagine.

why would they cause an uproar and deconfirm it than? dexit would not have existed if not for the interviews

besides 400 to 890 that's quite a long way. maybe 50 100 mons more in next game but i can't imagine the full dex coming back anytime soon

Question, I don't remember.

Can I local trade eggs? Or do I have to hatch them first?

Founded an area where an Lv. 50 Obstagoon was literally blocking a route like the Pokedex entry says. Thought it was funny cause it reminded me of those hi-level bosses that block off secret areas in Xenoblade.

Quick question: In the Max Raid battles, when the raid boss puts up the barrier, do moves that do 2 or more hits still take away just 1 red bar of damage to the barrier, or as many for however many successful hits?

Which nature is more competitively viable for Scorbunny? I'm torn between Adamant and Jolly.
Most competitive players would probably recommend that speed is the game but for me personally, I'd go out all offensive but if your looking for that viability, speed is the game.

I've taken out two shields when using something the pokemon has a double weakness too. I noticed that NPC partners don't get that same benefit when using the same type against an opponent though.

Jolly. Always.

I'm only at Ballonlea (which by the way looks SOOOOO cool!) and I'm thoroughly enjoying the games so far. I'm hearing about all these interesting changes to competitive mechanics that I can't wait to see play out. For example, the effects of speed now update mid turn. Certain abilities block intimidate, like Oblivious (mamo is coming back!), rapid spin increases speed, and a huge variety of pokemon get updated move pools that are going to severely impact the way they're played. This is going to be fun.

Thoughts regarding story..

The story in these games was quite shambolic. Throughout the game you're consistently told by the adult characters "Focus on the Gyms, we'll handle any and all issues," without even seeing what it is they did in any meaningful way. Either let us be involved, at least that way we might care, or throw a few cutscenes our way so we at least have an idea of what's going on. The latter stages of the story were the worst of all, though. Oleana seemingly hijacking the Gym Challenge, which no one seems to care about afterwards, leading us to find the grunt of a team we've never heard of before with a key.. then storming Rose Tower.. only to then find the Chairman and be told by Leon "Nah, let's go eat." and being done with the conflict. Then Bede interrupting the Champions Cup.. honestly, I'm glad he did, but they butchered his character. He was a Psychic-type trainer with strong ambitions and a quite tragic backstory to build upon.. and then he was made the Fairy-type Gym Leader? I understand Opal saw his personality as fitting, but he was in no way a Fairy specialist, it's not exactly fitting for a Gym Leader to be someone using the Type for the role and not out of a genuine passion for it.

After receiving the shield and heading back to the stadium...

Raihan: "Yeah we Gym Leaders evacuated everyone."

*Go into the Pokemon Centre to find everyone still in there, including random NPCs saying the same dialogue with no mention of the events.*

God dammit Gamefreak.

However.. credit where it's due.. the bit where Leon realised Eternatus was going to break free of the ball and so turned and ordered Charizard to protect me and Hop before being knocked out was incredible. I really wish they didn't have such an aversion to action scenes because that was honestly the best bit of the game by far.

And, as others have said, Rose's entire plan was incredibly stupid, rushed and unbelievable.

Credits roll.. one of the weakest stories of a main series game, I think. There was so much potential with lore, but it all was just too shallow in actuality; from villainous plot to character development.

Does anyone know if Synchronize is still 50% for natures? I'm hoping after madam celadon it will now be 100% as otherwise it feels like a step backwards.

Finally got my hands on the game :p

Only played for about 3 Hours so far. I rushed a little bit so I could get to the part where I could customize my trainer properly. He's now got wavy, blue hair. And I'm happy.

My first impressions:

1. Damn those games are beautiful. So what if those trees in the wild area don't have HD textures...have you looked at everything else? The walk from your house to Hop's alone is freaking beautiful with the slow slope and the Pokemon int he background and all.
2.I haven't seen too much of the wild area, since I rushed through it so that I could get my character a proper haircut. But what I've seen so far seemed fun. I got chased by an angry Vaspiquen. I'm liking the overworld Pokemon more than I thought I would and it's cute how they react differently (Yamper running towards you, Skvovet running away etc) and it was so easy to pick and catch a female Combee in the wild area, no longer battling dozens of male ones until a female shows up.
3.Not sure what I think of the camping, playing fetch with your Pokemon is cute, but I kinda miss refresh and being able to properly groom and brush your Pokemon.
4.Not sure about the pace either. I'm not even at the first gym and I already have six Pokemon. That's unusual for me.
5.Customization is AWESOME, even for the male character. But it's also freaking expensive. What the easiest way in this game to get money?

Just beat the game, here are some of my thoughts:

Pros:
-I loved how they handled the meaning of a Champion. I really felt like I was earning the title, and it truly felt like it meant something. I also felt that they handled Leon really well, I truly felt a little sad when his era was over.
-The gym challenges were a fun little addition, it kind of combined trials with the gyms
-The message of the adults having to do something to save the future for the kids. I liked the obvious reference to the climate change crisis.
-The final battle against Eternatus was super cool and super fun. While a little more build up would have been nice, it was super frightening and intense.

Cons:
-The story was pitiful. I mean, the entire game I only felt like my goal was to beat the gyms/champion, which is fine if that is the angle they are going for. But then last second, they decide to throw in a plot with an evil team we never heard of. It involves beating the obviously evil Oleana, then we finally reach the obviously evil Rose, and we are told to go have dinner instead. Like what? Even the legendary duo have barely any significance in this game, they show up once in the beginning, then once at the end to fight alongside you for very little reason other than to stop Eternatus, yet another pokemon that came out of no where. Also, Sonia's research ultimately added up to very little. The Darkest Day happened without her even figuring anything out (heck, she didn't even realize it happened, my mom had to tell her). Even Rose was such a let down, he had good intentions to release this monster, then obviously failed to contain it, but then continued being evil and battled me to stop me from doing something... then gave up and turned himself in. Like what?
-The challenges were extremely easy, in fact I one-shotted almost everything in the game, and I wasn't that over leveled. The only trainer that gave me a challenge was Leon, mostly due to his Haxorus outspeeding everything of mine and using a powerful Outrage and his Intelleon spammed Tearful Look and flinched with Dark Pulse three times (each time it was used). Everything else was ridiculous easy. Rose was so easy if you had a half way decent Fighting type on your team.
-I swear there was some Serene Grace like effect over this game. Dark Pulse flinched every time it was used, Flamethrower burned as much as it could, and my pokemon hit themselves in Confusion every time!

Overall, a very weak story, and being honest, I feel like this game was not worth 60 bucks. It was definitely one of the weaker games.

For me, the easiest way to earn money is to go through the wild area several times and pick up any shiny spots you see. It’s easier when you aren’t online with others. Make sure after doing a big sweep, leave and sell what you have found and then go back, you will always find more items lying around.

You can also fight max raid battles to collect watts, and then sell them to people in the wild area for items. Some people will have random things to give you for about 100 watts and I’ve gotten pearls from them before. You may also find treasure to sell in max raid battles though they are a bit less common.
