Its one of those things that they never really explore in detail but probably would have added so much more to Sonia if they did. You could guess what might have happened but its little more than a guess.
Enlighten me please...
Because I am running different scenarios in my head but I wonder what the major consensus is.

My guess is Leon used Sonia as a stepping stone to get where he is at without any credit to her. Leon does come off as self-absorbed at times... so I could see that be the case.

They probably had some type of romantic involvement with each other, but that's a bit of a stretch given what the game gives us on them.

Does anyone ever wonder what happened to Bede’s Duosion & Gothorita?

I know that the main reason he stopped using them was because he switched to Fairy types (& Opal probably said they didn’t have enough pink), but I find it weird that he got rid of them since he seemed to be close to all of his Pokémon despite being a jerk.

If anything, I thought he’d keep them as support pokémon with moves like Charm, Reflect, Light Screen, Rock Tomb, & Trick Room to give his main Fairies an advantage. We’ve seen type specialists in SWSH using mixed teams like Marnie & Raihan, so Bede would fit right in

I don’t find it that weird. The rival in RBY changed his team a couple of times and N never had the same Pokémon each time you fought him.

There's no reason to think he entirely got rid of them entirely. But given the amount of pride he places in being a Fairy specialist, it's little surprise he wouldn't run a mixed team.

While that's true, N is definitely an outlier because we know that he doesn't keep any Pokemon at all (Zekrom/Reshiram notwithstanding), so having an inconsistent team is an ongoing part of his character.

My guess is he still has them. He just was focused on Fairy types at the time (and because apart from Leon most trainers in Galar League seem to try and win with 5 Pokemon or less) they probably are relegated to his reserves. My speculation is that most high level trainers in Pokemon have far more Pokemon than just the ones in their team they just choose to battle with the ones that suit them the best at the time. Sometimes some Pokemon also seem to be specifically gym Pokemon. Look at Raihan he doesn't use his Sandaconda or his Gigalith from his gym battle in his league teams.

So as of June 30, 2021, Pokémon Sword & Shield has sold 21.85 million copies. It only needs 2 million more to outsell Gold & Silver.

I'm gonna be honest; I never expected the game to sell this well. lol Particularly, I didn't expect it to sell this well so fast, selling nearly 22 million copies in a year and a half! Lifetime sales for a main series Pokémon game usually caps at three years. This means Sword & Shield has a whole extra year to reach its peak.

SwSh are definitely major sellers for the Switch. More players probably got the Switch or Switch Lite just to play these games.

This still seems impossible though since so many people on the internet hate Sword & Shield with a passion, & the common consensus seems to be that they’re the worst pokémon games of all time for various reasons

You have to remember that people online are a small minority, that there are people who don’t engage in online discussion, and those who just buy the latest entry in the series without much thought. There’s also all the kids who will ask their parents for it. Regardless of how anyone feels about SwSh, expecting it to no be among the most sold games is laughable

So what do you imagine is the lesson here.

And aren’t most of those just spiteful of the games just because the Dex cut out many different Pokémon even though about half of those that were cut were put back in with the DLC or upcoming BDSP? All I remember is seeing online angry fans claiming that SwSh were going to be “the worst Pokémon game ever!” just because their favorite Pokémon wasn’t going to be added and this was even before the games even came out. I think it’s a bit unfair to deem an unreleased game as being complete garbage or even complain about the graphics in the reveal trailer even though it isn’t the final version of the game. And then people complain that the graphics are awful and then compare them to games like GTA V even though both game series have completely different art styles. And if you want “more realistic graphics,” are you really sure you want Kantonian Mr Mime to look something like this?

That Mr. Mime design was amazing. I don't get why so many people were offput by it?

For me it’s too plasticy looking and the face is really off putting. Plus the hair should have been a little bit frizzy as clowns tend to have frizzled hair and the cheeks should have looked like face paint.

It's like overly realistic.

Just like Greninja's really icky look.
I would have been fine with Greninja if it didn’t look so slimy. Psyduck sort of bothered me because I thought its feathers looked far to much like fur. Squirtle looked like it was made out of modeling clay which isn’t a good thing, Snorlax is too furry (would have been better with shorter hair like a tabby cat), Aipom is straight up nightmare fuel, Loudred looks really off like it’s stoned or something, and Ludicolo is way too furry looking. All the others were either not quite what I had imagined but are still acceptable or had a pretty good design that doesn’t need any improvement.

Again, I'm just really not getting what problem most people had with one or more of the designs in that movie. Aipom was a little weird but the designs worked so well.
