Pokemon: The Eternity Tale

Heyo, my friends! Welcome to my Fan-Fic!
A saga of many people and Pokemon alike waits for you here. I have no description for my fic, because it will by a giant mix of many different themes and subjects.

Unfortunately, my time on the computer has been limited to one hour per day, and due to excessive amounts of homework, I may not always be able to post on Serebii.net. I'll always visit though! ALWAYS!

Because of this recent issue, my fan-fic's progress has been delayed. However, I'm still working as hard as I can, so chapters can be churned out as fast as my fingers can type!

.-.-.

Also, a few things to explain about my fic.

(1) There are going to be many different themes included in here, and accounts from all points of view. If, for any reason, you do not like a certain chapter, hang in there! It's bound to change, hopefully for the better. I try my best to entertain everyone, but sadly, it cannot be done. Life just doesn't work that way. So mainly, I try to create works that I enjoy and am proud of, so maybe you can recognize and understand that I cannot always appeal to everyone.

(2) I tend to wander a lot. I've tried my hardest to cut out all the excess information, and unneccessary bits, but sometimes something little escapes, even from my notice. If things seem a bit rambly, well that's a bit too bad. You might mention it to me, and I might try to fix it, but waffling is one of my character flaws.

What I will do, though, to fit in all that information that is still vital to the story, or interesting to read, I will still include it in the fic. How would I do that, you may ask? Well, what I can do is put the words in anyway, but cover them up with spoiler tags. That way, if you want to read that extra tidbit of info, you may, but if you'd prefer to skip over all the miscellanious junk, then you can just choose not to read it! A little side note, for those of you who don't know: a spoiler tag is a little black box with words in it, and in order to read it, all you have to do is highlight it with your cursor to read it.

They look like this:

[SPOIL]Great! You know how to use a spoiler tag! Have a cookie![/SPOIL] <-HIGHLIGHT THIS BY LEFT-CLICKING AND DRAGGING ACROSS TO READ IT!

So now you know!

(3) For your convenience, I have numbered each of the chapters, and by copying the little letters and numbers listed in front of a chapter's name, you can input them in search and go directly to that spot in my fic! An example of this would be: [LGNDChp00]. You would copy this into the search box, by clicking the button at the top of the thread, or by pressing CTRL+F, and then select "search down" to find it. Good luck!

(4) Although at times annoying, I believe that my little works of "art" all over the fic make it feel more... intelligent... beautiful... make it more of a masterpiece! I do not know if these little symbols and things will be pleasing to you, the reader, but you must admit, it adds some sort of originality to my fic. And if there's one thing I want more than anything else, it's to be original! ~*~

.-.-.

And with that, I leave you to enjoy my fic. Or rather, novel.

I'm working night and day to bring you happiness, so please, enjoy!
-KC

[LGNDPro] Prologue: Origins

(Ancient texts found carved in the wall of the deepest part of Cave of Origin)

Many an Eon ago…
When our Planet Terra was still young…
When Warm, Loving Sol’s first tender rays…
Illuminated this Barren Land.

Two Shining Beings descended…
Gifts from the Skies Above…
To shower the World with Kindness…
And to fill the Skies with Light.

Landing in a Simple Cave…
On a Lifeless Rocky Isle…
The Two combined to give a Gift…
The powerful Gift of Life.

Creatures of all Sizes and Shapes…
Now graced the Rocky Shore…
As the two Shining Beings followed them outside…
To see the First Sunrise.

And the Light-Bringers set off…
Soaring over the Raging Ocean…
Gracing the shore of a New Land…
With Green and Luscious flora.

Then the Newborn Pokemon were on their way…
Playing in the Sunny Fields…
Basking in the Forest Clearings…
And relaxing in the Azure Lakes.

These Mortal Creatures were Grateful…
To the Shining Beings of Light…
But the All-Powerful Beings…
Were not quite Satisfied.

In a flash of Greed and Lust…
The Two flew back to the Cave…
Whose Unchanged Interior…
Was once more a Birth Place.

They had wanted Beings to Worship them…
And that is what the Two got…
But sadly, this Wrongful Wish…
Brought forth a new Foul Beast.

This Beast now had their Greed…
And now contained their Lust…
Plus many more Vile Characteristics…
And they called themselves the Humans.

These new Beasts set off…
Across a Raging Ocean…
Split into Three Separate Groups…
Each to his own Domain.

The Shining Beings of Life…
Could do naught but watch Helplessly…
As their recent creations Disappeared…
Over a newly Darkened Horizon.

The Humans settled the continent…
Creating Three Different Civilizations…
Yet all took advantage of Pokemon…
And Tainted these Light-Graced Lands.

But the Two vowed on that day…
That they would correct their Mistake…
And Undo what they had Done…
And rule Peacefully over Men.

The Two took the form of Humans…
Created a Haven with their powers…
And ruled the Whole of the Humans’ World…
From the City of Pokemonopolis.

PART I: DAWN
"And the Heavenly Lights descended from the stars above, creating life as we know it during the First Sunrise..."

[LGNDChp00] Introduction: Beginnings

(From the records of Clay, the historian)

Beautiful…

Simply astounding…

How could creatures so majestic and powerful possibly exist?

These were the thoughts running through my head, as I, and all the other humans, gazed silently at the two shining forms floating in front of us.

They were hovering a few feet out over the ocean, and although the ocean was extremely choppy, the small circle of water under their feet was calm.

Who were these two creatures, and what were they doing here? Not one of us knew the answer to these questions, but at the moment, no one cared. Their presence seemed to numb our minds and soothe our souls.

But first, a bit of background information, should future generations decide to read this.

The island that we humans were standing on is now called Origin Island, for that is where humans, and the many other creatures before us, got our start. The island is rather small, and the only geographic feature worth mentioning is the damp little cave on top of the hill. The hill is very rocky, but so is the rest of the island. There is a very small amount of sand surrounding the island, but it is too small an amount to really be called a shore.

Yet all twenty-seven of us humans were standing on that "shore", trying to get as close to the magnificent creatures as we could. However, the two always stayed far enough away so that we could not reach them. Their closeness was tantalizing, but the only way to reach them would be to jump in the churning ocean and swim out to them. This was beginning to seem like an appealing idea to all of us...

…When suddenly, one of the two divine beings spoke. They didn’t speak aloud, and their mouth never moved, but the voice was still loud and clear, almost as if it was all in our heads. This was no figment of my imagination, because the other twenty-six humans on this isle can all confirm that they heard the words as well.

“Welcome, my children…” began the first voice. This sounded delicately feminine.

“…to the world of Pokemon,” a slightly deeper voice finished. This voice apparently belonged to the other one of the two, possibly male.

Not a single eye flickered off the shining creatures before them. All humans, young and old, including myself, were enraptured with the soothing voices echoing in their brains.

Then the first voice continued.

“We have brought you here for a purpose, but that shall be revealed in due time.”

“After all, the two of us have all the time in the world!” the deep voice seemed to joke.

At that comment, we smiled. Not one of the witnesses present knows why, but the deep voice just seemed so... humorous. We were all comfortable and at ease around the shining creatures.

“But enough of the joking,” the softer of the two voices began again, and the one on the left seemed to glare at the one on the right. “There is much to teach you about this planet, for you are but newborns in a world that has existed successfully for centuries without you.”

“Yes, because although we have an eternity to live, your time on this planet is naught but a flash compared to ours. We shall now inform you of what must be done, in order to prepare you for your lives.”

The soft voice politely told us to sit down, and we all obeyed instantly.

“So… now that you are settled, I may tell you the tale of the world we built. Hopefully this shall not take long, but we have never done this before. You are, after all, our first Chosen Race.”

At this remark, the crowd stirred.

The deep voice quieted their minds with a mental wave of calmness, and said, “You have cause to be excited, because as my mate just finished explaining, you are our first Chosen Race. You may speak our language, and you have some of the mental capicities that seperate us from the rest of the beings out there. However, you are not the only race on this planet, and you can not let this get to your head by go around bragging to others.”

“You see, we did not create this world. Instead, we discovered it, and then we brought this barren rock to life. Very soon, you shall witness what we have done, but I shall describe our work to you first. So listen, and listen well.”

“When we arrived, this planet was devoid of life. It was little more than a giant hunk of rock. So we came down to this small cave here.” At this, the deep-voiced creature on the right pointed at the cave behind us with his long, skinny tail.

“And then we combined our powers to create life. We made many different kinds of creatures, which you may call Dinomon, meaning "giant monsters". Then, as the sun rose on the horizon for the first time, we two discovered a new land and covered it in beautiful flora and fresh water for our First Children to enjoy.”

“Then we took all our Children over the raging ocean, away from the rising sun, and gave them that brand new continent to live on. They are there even today, as they have been for the last three centuries. However, your purpose here is to…” The deep voice seemed to trail off.

The silence hung over everyone's head for several minutes, until the female voice continued hesitantly.

“Well, that shall be revealed… in due time. We need to give you a… trial run, on this island here, before we allow you onto the mainland. This is a test of your survival skills. Although this may sound cruel, you must either live or die. If you cannot live here, you most definitely will not over there.”

“But we are sure you will be fine!” the male voice exclaimed cheerfully. “After all, it’s only for a few days, and since you are our Chosen Race, there’s no doubt you’ll be fine!”

We all smiled again, reassured that everything would be okay. We would pass the test and move on to the mainland as these creatures’ Chosen Race.

The beings started to float away, up into the sky, but someone got up the nerve to shout, “Hey, what are we supposed to call you?”

The two turned around and transmitted their names into our brains.

“You may call me Dawn,” the female voice answered.

“And I go by the name of Dusk,” the deep voice responded.

Then the two shining forms drifted into the clouds, disappearing from sight. All of us continued to gaze at the sky, hoping they would return.

Their heavenly voices floated back down to us. “We leave you now, O Chosen Race, with nothing but the clothes on your back and the memories in your head. Farewell…” And with that, the voices faded away, and the forms were lost in the fluffy, pleasant clouds above our heads.

And now my account of our first day here ends, as I head back to my cave for supper. Hopefully, the beings will come back tomorrow, bringing light to this dreary island...

Hmm... it looks like its going to be an interesting fic, interesting having that carved within the walls of the Cave of Origin. Anyway, i hope that its going to be different from the normal trainer fics (if this is one), and if you'd like a banner, just PM me the details, k?

Let the criticism flow!

Hey! Two criticisms! Great!

It's good to know that somebody has read my fic. I've really spent a lot of time on this, in case you cannot tell, and although long periods of time might ensue in which chapters don't get posted, I am working on it in every free moment I have.

First of all, thanks Pharaoh! I'm am glad that you have rated this fic 9/10. I read yours as well, and though it couldn't really be called "beautiful", I liked it! I'm hoping you'll finish the first chapter and post it soon. But yeah, thanks!

Then comes StrayedBullet. Unfortunately, this is not a trainer fic, because I feel that when it comes to originality, a trainer fic does not fit the description (unless done very masterfully like a few rare examples which I have read). Trainer fics never last long, and this story will take a while to get out. After all, I plan on making this into five seperate books!

I may have to get back to you on the banner, because I don't yet know how to put one in my sig. But until then, I'll keep you in mind. Thanks!

Hopefully a larger crowd will begin to read this, because at the time of this posting, I only have had 36 reads! I'm trying to add the first chapter sometime by next weekend, due to a large amount of testing occurring this week, so I'll get that done.

Until then... have a good day!

The only thing was you spelled planet wrong. I bolded it. An ancient test.....it reminds me of something.....I don't know what. Awesome work! 9/10

Okay! "Planet" fixed!

Hey, thanks for the correction Pharaoh!

I never would have noticed the misspelling myself. I have corrected it already, thanks to you. Also, another 9/10! I'm assuming that means that I have been doing something right so far.

And by the way... why isn't your fic up at the top of the list? You mentioned to me that you posted your first chapter... so where is it? Hmm... I'll continue to look for it.

Don't worry, I'll find it!

Its on pg 3. A little to short though, because I was frustrated that it got deleted twice. Chapter 2 will be, like long. I have it all up *points to head* here.

Well, it is certainly interesting, and I am wondering how it is going to progress. these beings are certainly (or should i say hopefully) going to have an impact on the story.
