Pokémon Ultra Moon: Explored the remainder of Vast Poni Canyon, my Magneton evolving in the progress. Went into the trial cave I came across, and fought the Totem Kommo-o. Eventually reached the Altar of the Moone and played the flutes with Lillie. Nebby evolved into Lunala, and we prepared to search for Lusamine. However, an Ultra Wormhole opened on its own, and Guzma and Lusamine fell out. Necrozma appeared, and got into a fight with Nebby. Necrozma fused with Nebby, and I beat it in a battle, forcing it to retreat, however, before doing so, it absorbed the light near the shrine. The Ultra Recon Squad helped me follow Necrozma to Ultra Megalopolis, where I met the other two members of the squad, Dulse and Zossie. I went to the top of the Megalo Tower, and fought Ultra Necrozma. My Umbreon's Toxic helped take it down, and so the light was returned to both worlds. I was offered a Poipole, but I decided to come back for it later.

Returning to my own world, I met up again with Lillie and the others, and Lusamine admitted that she was wrong. After everything was done, Mina showed up and told me about her trial. Began the trial and fought against Mina. Received the first petal, and was told to find Ilima. However, I took a little detour to train up my Petilil against wild Pokémon I encountered in the different wormholes, before evolving her into a Lilligant. With that done, I went to Route 2 to continue my trial. Met up with Hau on the way, and we promised to have another battle later.

Current team:

Minami the Primarina - Level 57
Alpha the Magnezone - Level 53
Spitfire the Rapidash - Level 53
Ruri the Staraptor - Level 52
Yoru the Umbreon - Level 52
Tulip the Lilligant - Level 47

Finished up Rainbow Rocket episode last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The puzzles were welcomed back with open arms. Spending the next day or so doing Ultra Warp Ride in hopes of finally getting Guzzlord, and then leveling up my Battle Agency level more.

Oh my goodness, was I challenged last night! I picked up where I left off, watching Tapu Fini allow Hapu to become the kahuna of Poni Island. We all then headed for the Altar of the Sunne. Along the way I fought many trainers and completed the dragon trial, earning Dragonium Z. Kommo-o was more difficult than I previously anticipated. I expected it would be easy to handle with my Wigglytuff who knows Dazzling Gleam, but Kommo-o's Poison Jab was something I didn't expect. Oricorio's Air Slash ultimately dealt the final blow. Nebby evolved into Solgaleo once we played the flutes at the altar, and Lusamine and Guzma fell out of a newly opened Ultra Wormhole. Necrozma appeared after them. They warned us about how strong it is, and Necrozma fused with Solgaleo, parasitically controlling it. The Ultra Recon Squad then showed up after battling Dusk Mane Necrozma and allowed me to use their Lunala to travel on the Ultra Warp Ride to reach Ultra Megalopolis.

Ultra Necrozma was terrible to beat. After continuing to lose (it was OHKOing everything on my team), I decided to teach my Wigglytuff Thunder Wave and give it the Focus Sash that I had gotten by the dancer lady on Poni Island. Wigglytuff paralyzed it and caused a tiny chunk of damage to it with Dazzling Gleam. Dusk Lycanroc then came in and used Splintered Stormshards, which only did about a third to half of its health. Dusk Lycanroc was the only Pokemon outspending Ultra Necrozma, EVEN AFTER paralyzing it. Houndoom came in afterward and finished it with Foul Play, which I honestly thought would have done more damage than what it actually did. I was NOT expecting Ultra Necrozma to be that tough.

The Ultra Recon Squad then showed up and want to give me a Poipole. I told them no because I want to SR for a shiny one. I'm either going to do that now or head back to Poni Island and pick up the story again.

Houndoom (55)
Dusk Lycanroc (55)
Araquanid (56)
Wigglyutff (57)
Pom-Pom Oricorio (57)
Hawlucha (58)

Pokémon Ultra Moon: Battled against Ilima and got his petal for Mina's trial. Then had him escort me to Lush Jungle, where I fought against Lana. After getting Lana and Mallow's petals, they brought me to Wela Volcano Park, where I had a battle against Kiawe and his hiker friend. After getting their petal, I met with Sophocles, who was saying good-bye to Molayne, who was leaving for a while. Sophocles gave me the petal without a battle, before escorting me to my next location. On my way to Aether House, I met up with Guzma and Hau, before I went inside and had a battle with Nanu. After getting the last petal I needed from him, I went back to see Mina. Mina made the Rainbow Flower for me, which attracted the Totem Ribombee. After a somewhat tough fight, I managed to defeat the Totem Ribombee and the Blissey it summoned to help it, and I got the Fairy Z-Crystal upon clearing Mina's trial. Now all that remains is the Grand Trial against Hapu.

With the festival in Iki Town done, I had Rotom installed in my Pokedex by Kukui and dropped by the Pokemon Centre to pick up the event Rockruff and the Gible I transferred over. Caught all the Pokemon bar Alolan Grimer (it did not appear) in the tall grass in the Trainer School with Zoura proving to be somewhat stubborn. Used the trainers to train up the Magnemite I added to my team only briefly resorting to using Wingull against the teacher since she uses Litten.

Current Team

- Rowlet (Takumi)
- Rockruff (Krystal)
- Wingull
- Grubbin (Tesla)
- Magnemite (Polaris)
- Gible (Terrafin)

Got my Pokédex completion up to 35%. Did a couple of sidequests for extra money, then headed for Po Town. I absolutely love this place's atmosphere, so I took my sweet time just exploring and listening to the rain and bgm. Guzma's Masquerain was so annoying, every Air Cutter was pretty much a guaranteed flinch. Anyway, after it was finally defeated, I collected my Buginium Z and returned to Aether house. ...Only to find out Plumeria took Lillie back to Aether Paradise.
So here I am, just about ready to enter Lusamine's mansion.

Current Team:
  • Primarina (Aoi) lv.47
  • Vikavolt (Railgun) lv.47
  • Aegislash (Excalibur) lv.47
  • Mudsdale (Gaia) lv.47
  • Talonflame (Charlotte) lv.47
  • Pangoro (Bancho) lv.47

Winter can't come soon enough
After what feels like well over 50 Ultra Warp Rides, I finally got Guzzlord's Ultra Space. And my word, it was extraordinarily terrifying and I never want to go back to it ever again. Also got Celesteela and Cresselia. Still not Latias Ultra Wormhole, though. I really want to SR for her and add it to my growing army of shiny dragons.

After recieving Sharpedo Jet from Grimsley, I went back to explore the previous Islands to see if there was anything I was not able to get but it was not anyth8ng important. After I few back to Route 15, I made my way towards Po Town, battling all of the trainers on the route and catching Pokemon. I also caught a Scraggy and nicknamed it Shaggy since I am planning on using it. After, I stopped by the Pokemon Center on Route 16 to heal up before proceeding.

I arrived in the Ula’ula Meadow, where I met up with Sampson Oak. He spoke to me briefly and gave me something but I’ll be darned if I can remember what it was before he left. I was now free to explore so I battled all of the trainers so I could battle the Kahuna of the route. After defeating him, I received a flame orb and I was finally able to leave.

I arrived on Route 17, battling every Team Skull grunt I could find and picking up a TM and some items before stopping right outside the gate of Po Town. I had to battle the two grunts outside and I made short of them. After, they fled and locked the gate behind them. But luckily, I met Nanu, who opened the gate for me.

Before going in to Po Town, I decoded to go back to Ula’ula Meadow to train Shaggy so he would evolve and also so he would be on par with the rest of my team.

Current Team
Robin Hood (Decidueye)
Gladio (Espeon)
Rainbow (Milotic)
Amplifluff (Ampharos)
Kottie (Mudsdale)
Shaggy (Scraggy)

A few days ago, I did a bunch of things in Malie. First, I battled Hau again. His team was easy for the most part, but his Raichu was a little difficult due to the strength of its Psychic. I had to bring out my overlevelled Comfey to take that one down.

Next, I continued with the main story by visiting Malie Garden. After fighting a few trainers there and speaking with Prof. Kukui again, I headed over to the library with Lillie. There, I read some passages from a few books and met Acerola. And maybe did some other things I can't remember right now.

After that, I did a couple of other things around town. At the cape, I battled some trainers around the recycling plant. Back in town, I fought more trainers inside the Kantonian Gym. That was pretty fun really makes me miss real Gyms, though >_>

Now, I'm on Route 10. I'll hopefully make it to the top of Mt. Hokulani next time and complete the trial.

Also got shiny Tornadus while taking a break from Groudon for a couple hours. Will now trade it for UM's Kyogre. Still the Groudon hunt is over and that's just great.

Pokémon Ultra Sun: I've managed to adjust the EVs of the rest of my team, and I've also obtained some more Pokémon. Among other things, I caught Tapu Koko and Tapu Lele. I also did some Ultra Wormhole travelling to try to get a Guzzlord. After a few failed attempts to get to Guzzlord's realm, I managed to find Regirock. Figuring an Adamant nature works well for Regirock too, I figured I might as well get something out of this Ultra Warp Ride session and caught the Regirock. Now that I now also know how the legendary encounters in Ultra Wormholes work, I'll certainly be catching more of them in the future. I should also get around to challenging some of the trainers on Poni Island, and do the Rainbow Rocket quest, but it can wait a bit longer.

Pokémon Ultra Moon: Went to Exeggutor Island, and had my final Grand Trial against Hapu. My Lilligant and Primarina managed to get me through the battle without much difficulty, and so I finally cleared the last Grand Trial and got the Ground Z-Crystal from Hapu. I headed back to Tapu Village, and headed for Mount Lanakila. Upon getting there, Gladion showed up and challenged me to a battle. After our battle, he told me where to find Lillie, before heading off somewhere. Now to make my way to the top of Mount Lanakila, fighting trainers and picking up items as I explore.

Current team:

Minami the Primarina - Level 60
Alpha the Magnezone - Level 56
Spitfire the Rapidash - Level 56
Ruri the Staraptor - Level 55
Yoru the Umbreon - Level 55
Tulip the Lilligant - Level 54

After nearly one week of soft resets, I finally encountered a shiny Kyogre.
I caught it in a luxury ball and it had a Modest Nature (thank you Modest Synchroniser Musharna). Named it Leviathan and celebrated.
I made a vow to get the shiny charm before future hunts. :)

The day after I caught the Shiny Female Salandit in Lush Jungle (and spent 30 minutes not seeing a single regular Larvesta, my actual target), I decided to give it another go and fortunately found one after 15 minutes. So I proceeded with the story (with Larvesta replacing Vikavolt, it was fun to have one but I really couldn't stand the speed) and at Poni Canyon caught a Jangmo-o (who replaced Crabominable, who also had speed issues). With that I assembled the team I wanted to progress through the main story with (but knowing the two (Larvesta and Jangmo-o) are all really late in the game I specifically picked Vikavolt and Crabominable as temporary replacements since they can evolve much earlier this time story-wise and I wanted to give them a try).

A combination of maxed Amie-Affection and over leveling made Ultra Necrozma easier than I expected - I had Zoroark as my second last Pokemon (with Kommo-o as last) as a failsafe but never got to the point I needed to use Zoroark at all. The rest of the story were pretty normal afterwards. I didn't want to use rare candies in the main story, so I purposely placed Molayne last hoping Larvesta could evolve before his fight, but that didn't work out (in fact it was during Molayne's battle Larvesta got to evolving level...) That being said, the Champion battle gave me a bit of a "challenge" because I purposely ordered my team in chronological catch order and promptly got half my team swept by Alolan Raichu (I forgot it was Psychic and sent Venusaur out, ouch), but once I handled the Raichu it was pretty tied until I the Champion had half his team left and I flipped the table sweeping the remaining half of his team with a Quiver Dance Boosted Volcarona - it would seem that the hunt for Volcarona was not in vain after all.

That was a week ago though, but since then I haven't had the time to play the game, but I thought it would still be nice to list what happened, along with my final team as of the end of the main story:

Anima the Primarina (Level 71) - I knew I wanted a female Primarina for this run (I ran with Incineroar back in Sun) and it took 5 SRs to get a female, that's about it. Named after the Lost Phenomenon in The Evil Within 2.
Wasabi Skye the Shiny Pelipper (Level 67) - Ran into it after visiting the Professor's lab for the first time and named it Skye randomly. It was only until the cutscene when I first landed on Ula'Ula Island that I suddenly thought that its coloring reminds me of Wasabi and I added it to the name (I actually got used to calling it Skye...) Its Supersonic Skystrike is probably my most-used Z-Move in the entire main story and has saved me on many occasions, making it the unexpected hero of my story/team (I didn't plan a full team so this just fell into place).
Phanatos the Zoroark (Level 66) - I was aware of Ultra Necrozma and consciously decided on Zoroark, plus it was the first time it was available this early so I definitely wanted on regardless, although the journey never stopped reminding me of its fragility in defense...
Venusaur... the Venusaur (Level 68) - I was running out of battery when I was catching Bulbasaur (on release day no less since the Scan for Bulbasaur was on Friday) and didn't nickname it in a hurry. Afterwards, I gave it some thought and was quite sure I didn't nickname my Pokemon way back in Pokemon Blue and decided to keep it that way for Venusaur (who was my first starter back then).
Sunne the Volcarona (Level 60) - I got lazy at this late point of the game and just named it after the Altar of the Sunne, honestly, which is a bit ironic since it was probably the earliest Pokemon I decided I wanted on the team (why would I not play Ultra Sun with the Sun Pokemon literally?)
Seb the Kommo-o (Level 56) - Same laziness as with Volcarona, except since it was the last Pokemon I decided to name him after the main character of The Evil Within series as a mirror to my starter.

I know there's a decent amount of postgame story, but due to both time constraints and awareness of catching requirements to proceed, I'm effectively stalling my game here (basically I'm slowly preparing for Shiny Blacephalon among other things) and consider it "completed" even if I haven't actually touched on the Rainbow Rocket storyline. That Shiny Female Salandit is probably getting Bottle Capped and proper EV training considering how rare it is, if anyone wondered about it (unlike with Pelipper it appeared way too late in my game for me to consider it for the story team). I have a lot of personal post-game things (mainly breeding and preparing catch-teams) to do even before moving on to the given postgame in the game.

Smh Zygarde can piss off. Don't think I've gotten to a third shake with any ball despite it being paralyzed and down to 1 HP.

At last I beat Ultra Necrozma! Perhaps the toughest battle in Pokémon ever. Necrozma OHKO almost all my team, with just my Celebi who could survive a Dragon Pulse with some HP left. But it was not enough to defeat it. So I got the idea of using Marshadow and its Spectral Thief move so it could take Necrozmas Stat Boost.
The only problem was that Necrozma was faster and OHKO Marshadow, so my Pikachu (with Max Pokémon Refresh Affection) use Thunder Wave on Necrozma and then Marshadow could outspeed Necrozma and use Spectral Thief and then use its exclusive Z-Move as a cool and flashy finish move.

Then I took a Mina's trial. It was not as hard as I thought, mostly due to my Totem Salazzle who used Toxic on Totem Ribombee. Hapu was not difficult either, compared to those other Kahunas that I lost several times against.

Now I'm going to the League with these Pokémon that's between Lv. 48-52:

Pikachu (I Choose You Cap)
Fearow
Lycanroc
Torterra
Incineroar
Feraligtr

Here are my other Pokémon I'm using, but now they are doing some training at Poké Pelago. Will use them more in the post game:

Kingler (Shiny)
Gengar (Shiny)
Snorlax (Shiny)
Lapras (Shiny)
Muk (Alola)
Pupitar
Raticate (Totem)
Araquanid (Totem)
Salazzle (Totem)
Togedemaru (Totem)
Celebi
Marshadow

Shortly after arriving in Hau'oli City I learnt about the Totem Stickers that are placed around Alola by the Trial Captains. Obtained all the stickers in the city other than the ones near the marina and the one floating in the pool at Illima's house. Had my first run-in with Team Skull who were quickly taken care off before been challenged by Illima to see if I was really to take on the trial in the Verdant Cavern. Having beaten him I travelled to Route 2 making brief detours to the Hau'oli Cemetery and Big Wave Beach in the progress chasing off two Team Grunts that was harassing the Mantine at the later location.

Peanuts aren't just a nut.
For story, I have completed all the trials and am now standing in front of the entrance to the Pokemon League. But I don't feel my team is quite ready to tackle that quite yet. I plan to get the team to level 70-75 before I do that. Possibly also replace one or two members because there's a couple of types that I don't have any real type advantages to.

I did a lot of Mantine surfing today and posted my current record scores for each Island in that thread Sceptile Leaf Blade started. I got my Plaza rank up to 300 and I've almost gotten every fashion item exclusive to my version plus a lot of items exclusive to the other version.

My team:

Honchkrow: Level 64
Primerina: Level 68
Hawlucha: Level 67
Dugtrio: Level 65
Gengar: Level 64
Salazzle: Level 66

Ultra Moon: I recently defeated Totem Marowak, & I can honestly say that it was one of the toughest battles I had yet. Between Marowak's Protect and Detect & Salazzle bombarding me with special attacks, I didn't stand a chance the first I tried facing them. However, after leveling up my pokémon to levels 23-24, I managed to finally beat them using a lot of rotating and strategy. I thankfully transferred my Wobbuffet from Pokémon Silver a while ago, so it was able to take out Salazzle easily with its Destiny Bond. I then used a lot of status moves like Growl & Leer to chip away at Marowak's stats until it was finally taken down. After that, I caught a new Rockruff after learning the Own Tempo version only evolved into the Dusk Form, and quickly leveled it up to the Midnight form.

As of right now, I'm currently grinding all of my pokémon up to level 25 before facing Mallow's trial. I also got the Totem Raticate since I was thinking of transferring it to my Pokémon Moon team once I teach it Iron Tail & Zen Headbutt through the move tutors. I don't have a main team yet, but these are my current contenders out of all of my pokémon:
  • Mr. Whiskers (Torracat)
  • Khali (Midnight Lycanroc)
  • Flipsy (Inkay)
  • Punchinello (Mime Jr.)
  • El Grapadura (Hawlucha)
  • Belle (Jangmo-o)
  • Buzz (Yanma)
  • Chopper (Stantler)
  • Horton (Donphan)

Ultra Sun: I recently started this weekend & I'm currently at the first pokémon center on Route 1. I stopped to try and level up at Festival Plaza and I'm currently at rank 30~something with over 2000 Festival Coins. My team is currently the following:
  • Chikorita (Shiny from Pokémon Gold)
  • Buneary
