I'm sorry, but comparing Pokemon to Yu-Gi-Oh is just... idiotic.
They don't have very many things in common, aside from monsters. :\
Digimon VS. Pokemon would be better, but then Digimon would win anime-wise.
Oh, and BTW- I adore Pokemon more than Yu-Gi-Oh at the moment.
YGO's only shining moment was during the very early manga issues, where it didn't totally focus on the cards, and was darker.

Sorry, but how do you expect us to compare the two when they're COMPLETELY different? It's like comparing Chibi Maruko-chan to Death Note, the two are completely different, and it is impossible to compare them.
Yuugiou started off as a manga based around games, how is that ripping off Pokemon in ANY way? Digimon is one of those anime of the pet raising genre, which has NOT ripped off ANYTHING Pokemon at all.

I like Yu-Gi-Oh. Even though I never understood why in the anime when Yugi became Yami Yugi, Tristan, Joey and Tea never noticed the three foot height gain and voice change...
But naturally I like Pokemon as well otherwise I wouldn't be here. Pokemon has always been my number one anyway, so yeah.

Pokemon kicks Yugioh's butt! Even though I watch Yugioh, Pokemon is definetly better no doubt.
Tch, why compare the two? It's like that saying, "You might as well compare apples and oranges." Why Yugioh? Why not Beyblade? Or Evangelion? Or Chobits? They all have about as much in common with Pokemon as Yugioh does...
Anyways, I like Pokemon more. Two years ago, I would have said Yugioh. Next year, who knows what I might say? I still like them both though.

Cards: Pokemon Cards are really boring IMO, so I would choose Yugioh (also, I´m the YGO champion in my year)
Anime: neither of them is very good, but at least Yugioh has a story
Manga: I haven´t read Yugioh Manga, but Pokemon Manga Special is very good
Games: this is where Pokemon PWNS, I´d played YGO games for the PS, PS2 and GBA and they are way boring
So, the rating is:
Yugioh: 2
Pokemon: 2
Guess what? They are both great
