Pokémon World Tournament

Sign Ups are CLOSED!!

Plot:
Once every year the Champions of each region (Cynthia=Sinnoh, Steven=Hoenn (since Wallace is a Contest Grand Master), Lance=Johto, Gary=Kanto) come together to be the judges of the Pokémon World Tournament. The Tournament has the best of the best from each region to battle it out for the World Cup Trophy and is located on an island called Battle Island and the only way to get there – from any region- is boat. Ash Ketchum is the woner of Battle Island and Founder. He wanted it to be built on an island and found the perfect island and it took a few tears to build the stadium. After the completetion of Battle Island, word spread like a wildfire and a bunch of eager trainers wanted to join and this was too much work for just Ash so the Chapions from each region decided to take some time away from their gym to help Ash with the applicants and they decided to judge, too. About 500 trainers apply, 150 trainers get in. The Pokémon World Tournament was started ten years ago when Champion Ash Ketchum wanted to make a tournament to see who the best of the best was and he wanted all of the regions to be a part of this so the kids could meet people from different regions. Since it started ten years ago, there have been ten winners and they have had the honor to face Ash in battle, none were a match for his Pikachu. They would beat most of other trainers, then lose to Ash’s Pikachu, so obviously Ash will be at the Tournament. To qualify for the tournament is quite easy.

Everyone in the tournament started their journey around ten, and the minimum age is fifteen, meaning you would have to have five years of experience and six Pokémon, including your starter, obviously. You can’t have any legendary Pokémon, each Pokémon must be one of a kind, and a new rule was that there couldn’t be Garchomps because half of the past winners won with a Garchomp. The Champion judges are there just to evaluate your battle skills. No swapping Pokémon in between; use the Pokémon you bring. Pokémon are permitted to evolve, but you would want to bring strong Pokémon because everyone here has been a trainer for at least five years.

You’re Role:
You are one of the 500 fifteen – eighteen (that’s the age limit) year olds that have put in your slip to be in the Pokémon World Tournament. This was done six months ago and you wait patiently at your house in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh to see if you got the Acceptance Letter or the Denied Letter, on some occasions you may get a Pending Letter. You can revise things, but you only have short time because the Champions wait for no one. If you get the Acceptance Letter you are to leave your house ASAP to Battle Island since the Tournament starts not long after you get your letter. Out of 500, your one of the 7 (excluding myself) that have made it and there a lot more people to be there. You must bring your six best Pokémon (must follow the rules) to try and help you get the Trophy and a chance to battle Ash. If you get an Acceptance Letter it will be like this;

Dear *insert name here*,
We have received your Slip to enter in the Pokémon World Tournament and you’re in luck. Your one of the lucky 150 trainers to make to the Tournament. We look forward to seeing you and your Pokémon in the Tournament and who knows? You could win and battle Ash Ketchum, Pokémon Champion. Enclosed in this letter is a key. You and the other trainers will be in PokeSpa Emporium Hotel. It is a five star hotel and you will be staying there over night since the Tournament can take a few days or weeks. There is a Computer and one bed per room for you to sleep in and the computer is used to look up information about the Tournament and your next match-up.
Best of luck, Cynthia, Gary, Lance, Steven, and Ash.

You will receive that letter in the mail and you will register in at the hotel and the Tournament begins the following day, use that time to come up with a strategy and look up your matches. (They can be random, but soon you will battle us) If you are battling a fantasy character then you can have your character win (but make it challenging), but if your battling a member, then I will control the judges and decide the winner. (I’ll base it off your overall battle skills, not favoritism and stuff like that)

Name: Craig Thompson
Age: 16
Gender: Boy
Hometown: Pacifidlog Town, Hoenn
Starter: Swampert
Appearance: Craig is tall and thin, and his appearance is surprising to those who know his three brothers and three sisters. His hair is light brown and tied up in a ponytail, as apposed to the black hair of his siblings. His eyes are very strange- they appear to change colour. At his time of birth his eyes were blue, but in the past they have been green, brown, hazel and grey. His nose isn't too big but it sticks out a bit. Whenever he wears a hat he puts his ears on the outside, thus causing his ears to stick out.
Personality: Craigs personality is almost as strange as his eyes. He is a very smart boy, capable of completing equations that older people can not. He also has a habit of getting upset if he doesn't get his way, which quite often since his family is poor. He also at times falls into strange lapses of deppression. He feels over-shadowed by his siblings, and is especially jealous of Samuel, who is two years his elder and has already accomplished far more than him.
History: Craig is the youngest child in his family, with the oldest of his siblings being thirty years old with a family. All of Craigs siblings were very successful Coordinators or trainers, each having one the league or the grand festival at least once. His parents just managed to scrape together enough money for him to go on a Pokemon journey. Craig chose Mudkip as his starter, and finished in the top eight for the Hoenn league. Feeling upset for not winning the league, he continued to the Battle Frontier, but had to leave after his fathers death. Feeling guilty for not completing the Frontier, he sent off is form to complete in the world tournament.
Years as a Trainer: Six
Goal(s): To achieve something his siblings haven't
RPG Sample: Craig groaned as the sun poured into his window. That meant it was time to get up. He probably would've spent the rest of the day in bed, if Samuel wasn't coming today.Samuel. It was that name that forced him to him to get himself cleaned up, which wasn't that easy when the only water was from the ocean.Or from Pokemon, he thought, going out side.

"Hey guys", he yelled into the ocean."Can you help me?". Ten Corsolas(his families pets) and his Swampert lept from the ocean, cleaning every speck of dirt on his body. And just in time, too. Five minutes later a Wailord rose out of the ocean, with Samuel on his back.

"Hey, little buddy!", his youngest sibling said. "How you bin?". Before Craig could answer, his mother came bursting out of the house.

"Oh, Samuel," she cried. "We've all missed you so much! Isn't that right, Craig?".

"Yeah", Craig muttered. "I think about you every second of the day".

"Come now Craig", his mother said, turning to him. "Can't we have a reunion without you turning sour?".

"Yeah Craig", said Samuel, who was smirking. "Show a little respect for those that have accomplished more than you". To their mother this seemed like a harmless remark, but to Craig this was another one of his brothers insults. He would've gone berserk then and there, but managed to remain calm by counting to himself. His current record with Samuel was over seven thousand. They all walked inside, and his mother began to tell Samuel everything that had happened while he was gone. Whenever it came to Craigs near victories, Samuel would smirk and say "Really?", or "Is that so?". Craig was still counting when he heard rustling wings outside.

"I'll get it", he said, glad for an excuse to get away from Samuel. When he got outside, a Pelipper that was flying over his head dropped a letter down. He bent to pick it up, then froze when he saw what it was. Normally he would take the mail to his mother, but this was different. The letter was for him.

Pokémon Species: Swampert
Gender: Male
Moves: Ice beam, Blizzard, Surf, Hyper beam, Muddy water.
Appearance: Swampert-ish. Normally very muddy, fins are slightly larger than normal. Underbelly is tougher than it should be, a result of training resistance against physical attacks. Often crouches down on all fours when speed is neccesary, and stands on two legs when attacking.
Personality: Swampert is very skilled at hiding his emotions, but that doesn't mean he has none, as some people suspect. He feels very close to Craig and his family, and felt as depressed as Craig when his father died. He also realizes that Craig feels jealous towards his siblings, and tries hard to help Craig achieve his goals. Swampert also feels that he is the most powerful of Craigs Pokemon, since he was the first.
History: Craig found Swampert as a Mudkip, when looking for a starter Pokemon. Mudkip was always trouble, often scaring away wild Pokemon when Craig was trying to catch them. When up against the Mauville gym, Mudkip was thrashed by Watsons Electric Pokemon. Fortunately one of Craigs brothers helped him evolve into Marshtomp. Once evolved, Marshtomp wouldn't obey Craig, until Craig saved him from a wild Tropius after wandering off. Marshtomp soon evolved during a gym battle against Winona. Swampert was used in the league and managed to beat a whole team of Pokemon without being switched.

Pokemon Species: Aggron
Gender: Male
Moves: Iron head, Iron tail, Metal claw, Rock tomb, Strength
Appearance: Very, very tough. One horn is broken off at the end, but the other is sharp enough to make up for it. Teeth normally have jagged bits of metal stuck between them. Occasionally steering wheels and computer screens are in there too, a result of a diet of any kind of metal. Eyes are a sparkling blue, perhaps a little more than normal. Various scars are littered across the metal plates on Aggrons back, from various battles.
Personality: Aggron is very reckless, headstrong and stubborn, and often charges into battle before Craig orders him to attack. However, he also has the ability to stand still and not move for hours on end, something that surprises any foe. Thus no-one can prepare against him, as his tactics are very diverse. Also has a soft spot for female steel Pokemon (but not Mawiles). Aggron is also very intimidating, and can simply cause smaller Pokemon to flee by looking at them.
History: Was caught as an Aron on Dewford island, along with a Mawile, which subsequently became Arons love interest. Shortly afterwards, Aron managed to surprise everyone by accidentally coming out of its Pokeball in the gym battle against Brawly and managed to win the battle. Evolved into a Lairon when trying to prove that it could fight against the Lavaridge gym. After evolution, Craig taught him Rock tomb, for battles against fire Pokemon. Evolved into Aggron agaist the Mossdeep gym, to impress Mawile, who he was battling with. Mawile, however, was unimpressed, and promptly broke Aggrons heart. To this day, every time Aggron sees a Mawile he bursts into tears. Although Aggron is one of his most powerful Pokemon, Craig never brings Aggron home to Pacifidlog, as his weight is sufficient enough to sink half the town.

Pokemon Species: Mightyena
Gender: Female
Moves: Bite, Crunch, Shadow ball, Dark pulse, Roar
Appearance: Scary. Claws sharp enough to cut open a Pupitar. Teeth are even sharper, due to the fact that she uses Bite and Crunch so often. Eyes are yellow, with red irises and black pupils (just like humans, really). Fur is black and grey, the black being on her back and legs and the grey on her underbelly. Unfortunately, not many people or Pokemon get to see Mightyena, as her howl is enough to make any living creature running for their lives.
Personality: Mightyena is very ferocious, often attacking anyone who comes near. The reason for this is simple: she believes that Craig is her father, and is trying to protect him from danger. While this has come in handy on more than one situation, it is more of a hinderence than a help, such as the time when she attacked a Nurse Joy at a Pokemon center. She does this for good intentions only, however, so that makes it alright.
History: Was found as a Poochyena, the first Pokemon that Craig caught. As she was a baby when Craig caught her, she, Craig was the closest thing she had to a parent, and so was incredibly loyal to him. Her first battle was against Roxanne, and actually managed to take down Geodude before losing to Nosepass. As she was incredibly loyal to Craig, she battled lots and thus was the first of his Pokemon to evolve. However, Mightyena was unable to participate in the Mauville gym battle as she chose to stay at the daycare with another trainers male Mightyena. After the first eggs started appearing, Craig left her to start a family. But no one could stop Mightyena from swimming across to Fortree city, being reunited with Craig when he came for his gym battle. Mightyena is a lot stronger than she appears, and often Craig rides on her back.

Pokemon Species: Camerupt
Gender: Male
Moves: Heat wave, Flamethrower, Eruption, Lava plume, Earthquake
Appearance: The volcanoes on Camerupts back are a darker shade of brown, and they are also a different texture than normal. The rings on his side also appear to shimmer and glow. His eyes are lazy, and normally closed, a trait he has kept from when he was a Numel. Camerupts fur is also hot and normally slicked with condensation, a result of his special speed training. On one of his feet he is missing a toe, and even Craig doesn't know how he lost it.
Personality: Camerupt is a very calm individual, his presence being enough to make everyone in the vicinity stop fighting. But this does not mean that Camerupt does not fight. Far from it. When Camerupt is in a battle, he is as dangerous as a nuclear bomb in an inclosed space. Camerupt also loses his cool when he dashes around, turning him into an insane speed machine. The after effects of this craziness last for several minutes, leaving him dazed.
History: After beating the Lavaridge gym, Craig decide he wanted to catch a fire type Pokemon. This was harder then he originally thought, and after several attempts gave up. Unbeknownst to him, a Numel began following him around. The Numel followed him to Petalburg city, where it slipped and fell into a pond. Craig saved him and captured him, and began to work on preventing him from slowing down when he came into contact with water. He devised a special training method, which was using Lava plume when water came near, thus evaporating the water and causing him to speed up. The ultimate test was in Sootopolis city, where he used Numel against Juans Milotic. The amount of water used caused Numel to go super speed, and evolve into Camerupt in the process. The match ended in a tie, but Craig still got the badge and has since used Camerupt in many battles.

Pokemon Species: Hariyama
Gender: Male
Moves: Force palm, Focus punch, Focus blast, Reversal, Rock smash
Appearance: Battle worn. His hands are big and thick, just like any other member of his species, but his fingers are more flexible, allowing for extra grip when lifting objects (or other Pokemon). His feet are tiny compared to his hands, but they still allow for nimble dodging and jumping. Along his waistline are, well, flappy thingies (as Craig calls them) that serve no purpose what-soever except to look weird.
Personality: Hariyama, like Swampert, believes that he is the most powerful of Craigs Pokemon, and thus has a bitter rivalry with Swampert. To Aggron, he is a replacement for a love that broke his heart, so the two have an uneasy alliance. For the rest of Craigs Pokemon, he is a bully, someone to be avoided. Although he is shunned by most of the others, he still fights hard for them, trying to impress, and, in some cases, out-do them.
History: After the Mossdeep gym battle, Craig believed that Mawile neede a different trainer, and traded it to Steven Stone, who traded Craig a Makuhita in return, which he had obtained by trading a Lucario to Brawly. Despite having only one gym battle left, Craig trained Makuhita hard, and it was no surprise that it evolved into Hariyama so quickly. Its role in the league, however, was a small one, as Craig feared he would not be strong enough. It had a much larger role in the Battle Frontier, had Craig was planning to use him against Brandon, before news of his fathers death arrived.

Pokemon Species: Flygon
Gender: Female
Moves: Sandstorm, Dragonbreath, Dragon claw, Hyper beam, Earth power
Appearance: Light green body, with lime coloured wings that have a red trim. Her notable differences from others of her species are that on her head there are three spikes instead of two, and on her tail there are two spikes instead of three. Her eyes are large red orbs that look sort of like glasses, which leads to Samuel calling her " A bigger nerd than Craig". Ther stripes on Flygons tail are very faint, as they are only a slightly darker shade of green than her skin.
Personality: Flygon is very graceful, and those that se her for the first time often believe her to be an angel. She interacts well with Mightyena(being the only other female on Craigs team) and gets on reasonably well with Swampert, Aggron and Camerupt. The one she doesn't get along with, however, is Hariyama. Hariyama and Flygon loathe eachother, since their virtues are so different- Hariyama being a powerful bully, and Flygon being a graceful dragon. As such, Flygon will often attack Hariyama on sight.
History: After passing through Mauville city on his way to Fortree city, Craig visited the desert to climb the fabled Mirage Tower. Upon reaching the towers summit, he found an egg that he believed to be a fossil that he could sell for a large amount of money. However, on his way back to Mauville, the egg hatched into Trapinch. Since he didn't know that he could release Pokemon, he believed that he was stuck with a useless Pokemon, and thus never used it in battle. Trapinch was determined to prove herself, and trained prior to the Sootopolis gym battle. In the battle, Trapinch came out of its Pokeball and defeated one of Juans Pokemon, evolving into Vibrava in the process. All fears aside about her being useless, Craig used Vibrava in the league, where it played a major role in every battle. In the Battle Frontier, however, Vibrava played a much smaller role, but still managed to evolve into Flygon.

Really and truly
Okay, need to go over a few things first. Though I would like to say that huge font is not necessary (and kind of ugly). And you don’t need to put those tags around every paragraph – a tag will continue working until you use a closing end tag. Like these italics will continue

Until I end them with[/I]

500 trainers apply, 150 trainers get in.
Everyone in the tournament started their journey at ten, so the minimum age is fifteen, meaning you would have to have five years of experience and six Pokémon, including your starter, obviously. You can’t have any legendary Pokémon, each Pokémon must be one of a kind, and a new rule was that there couldn’t be Garchomps because half of the past winners won with a Garchomp. The Champion judges are there just to evaluate your battle skills and if no Pokémon faints in the five minute time limit, then the judges pick the winner based on your skills and if your Pokémon faints, you’re out. No swapping Pokémon in between; use the Pokémon you bring. Pokémon are permitted to evolve, but you would want to bring strong Pokémon because everyone here has been a trainer for at least five years.
First of all, your plot is too short. But there are ways you can make it longer, because there are questions that need answering. Such as where is this island? What’s it like? Are there stadiums there, or is it just some giant Yu-Gi-Oh-style island of random terrain? Who is the authority there – it is owned by a rich old man, the Pokémon League? Why must the tournament be here of all places? What made them choose this place? And why is it inaccessible by plane or submarine (or do you just mean no other modes of transportation are allowed)? And this tournament…is for the best of the best, but just anyone can apply? And somehow there are exactly 500 applications? (You really don’t need to include a number like that.) What exactly is Ash the champion of? And you mean pretty much this entire tournament is giving a chance to let trainers battle him? That’s a bit strange.

This is the first one of your arbitrary rules/claims. Not all trainers may start at age ten for personal reasons, and saying everyone in the tournament started then is silly. This restriction is pointless. Just say “all participants must have been trainers for a minimum of five years” instead. The no legendary rule is obvious (but putting it here makes it sound like some trainers may own legendaries, but can’t bring them, kind of silly). And I don’t know if I understood correctly, but do you mean there can’t be more than one of the same Pokémon species in the entire tournament? Because 150 with 6 Pokémon each means there are 900 Pokémon total. There aren’t even 400 species, so this makes no sense whatsoever. And no Garchomp? I don’t know why this rule is here, unless it’s related to some other mini plot in some way. Again, silly.

The rules for battles should probably be in another section, with all the rules for the tournament/battles all put in a list, not a weird paragraph. And I really don’t understand how these battles work – is it one-on-one? Is there a five-minute time limit? This just isn’t phrased very well. And the rule about evolution, considering it isn’t something the tournament organizers can control, should be with your main RP rules. Try to differentiate between talking to the characters and to the RPers.

You’re Job:
You are one of the 500 fifteen – eighteen (that’s the age limit) year olds that have put in your slip to be in the Pokémon World Tournament. This was done six months ago and you wait patiently at your house in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, or Sinnoh to see if you got the Acceptance Letter or the Denied Letter, on some occasions you may get a Pending Letter. You can revise things, but you only have short time because the Champions wait for no one. If you get the Acceptance Letter you are to leave your house ASAP to Battle Island since the Tournament starts not long after you get your letter. Out of 500, your one of the 7 (excluding myself) that have made it and there a lot more people to be there. You must bring your six best Pokémon (must follow the rules) to try and help you get the Trophy and a chance to battle Ash. If you get an Acceptance Letter it will be like this;
Firstly, “you’re” means “you are,” and “your” means “belonging to you” (like “your Pokémon”). Second, this is not a job. This is the role. And trainers may be…out training and travelling, not necessarily staying at home. What happened to 150 that it went to 8? Where exactly is this “there” that they are supposed to go? E-mails are also faster than letters, especially if the Pokémon League is apparently giving second chances to applicants. =P

And regarding the battles…first off, making your RPers just type up a post with a random NPC battle isn’t much fun. And second, how exactly do you judge the winner of a battle? Don’t you just go based off whoever has the most remaining Pokémon, or whose Pokémon have the most strength left at the end?

Rules (Read or Else):

1. All SerebiiForum and RPG Rules Apply
2. Try to be active (at least say if you’re going on vacation, sheesh ><)
3. Don’t quit (I don't believe that you can be that busy with school, no matter your grade. You should know beforehand.)
4. I want experience Role-Players, so go somewhere else newbies.
5. Only Accepted people may post in the RPG and Discussion Thread, so everyone else go somewhere else.
6. If you don’t get accepted, or take too long to Sign- Up, someone can steal your spot; your fault, not mine.
7. I’m giving you two weeks to work on your Sign-Up, so don’t slack off!
8. If you lose, just stick around. You won’t be able to do much, but your character can watch the competition from the bleachers
9. If you lose, no hard feelings, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I’ll still be fair when judging
10. Have Fun
1. Please make sure your RP itself follows the RPG Rules (regarding length) before telling your RPers to do the same. :/
2. Some people can’t help it if they become inactive. It happens.
3. You can’t force people not to quit. If they have issues, or something called a social life, those sometimes take priority. You'll have to deal with it.
4. Considering you don’t seem very experienced as a GM, that seems a lot to ask. Newbies are allowed to try out if they want – if their SU isn’t good enough, that’s another story.
8. Wow, that sounds really boring for RPers.

Sign-Up Criteria (follow EXACTLY):

Name: (First and Last)
Age: (Stated before; Fifteen – Eighteen (15-18))
Gender: (Er… um…)
Hometown: (Example; Twinleaf Town, Sinnoh.)
Starter: (Should be fully evolved, and must be from the region you were born in)
Appearance: (How does your character look? AT LEAST FIVE LINES)
Personality: (How does your character act? AT LEAST FOUR LINES)
History: (What happened in your character’s life? No cliché stuff. AT LEAST SIX LINES)
Years as a Trainer: (You started at ten, and you have to be at least fifteen – eighteen, so do the Math)
Goal(s): (Elite Four, Gym Leader, etc.)
RPG Sample: (How do you Role-Play? I don’t have to supply this since I know my own skills.)

Pokémon Sign-Up Criteria (Follow Exactly as shown):
Pokémon Species: (What Pokémon is it? Charmander, Pikachu, like that)
Gender: (Still Male or Female….)
Moves: (Must make sense, up to 5)
Appearance: (At least 4 lines. We know what they look like, but say things like scars and stuff, if any)
History: (How you met said Pokémon; at least 5 lines)
No Nicknames, just to make it easier for me.
I love how you tell everyone to follow the criteria exactly, then tell people that their options for Gender are Er and Um. Hometown, however, seems to require examples, heh.
So trainers can’t have had a later start than ten, and can’t be older than eighteen? Again, arbitrary, and you don’t even give any reasoning for it. XP
Instead of saying how you don’t need to provide a sample (which we already know), tell your sign-ups WHAT to provide. Something from an older RP? Three lines? Two pages? A battle, an end-of-the-world scene?
Not all Pokémon have genders, which you may want to mention.
So they need to provide four lines of arbitrary description (what if they just look ordinary?), but no personality whatsoever? Please add in a Personality field here.
No nicknames – another completely arbitrary and silly rule. Pokémon are allowed to have names. Trainers are allowed to give Pokémon names. “I am easily confused” is not an excuse – just tell your RPers to make sure they state the species in their posts.

I don't want to be overly critical, but I think you have a lot to clean up here. This kind of RP seems like it might be a bit too big for you, but if you want to give it a try, be sure you're clear, fair and organized for the sake of your RPers. Please try to go through this and make the proper edits (including to the font size). Good luck,

~Psychic

The Jewel of Life

A Gift From Arceus
A Sign Up For You

Name: Isabella "Bella" O. Raverson

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Hometown: Cerulean City, Kanto

Starter: Venusaur

Appearance: Isabella has a nice figure that is just a touch underdeveloped in comparison to other seventeen-year-olds and she is an impressive six feet and one inch tall. The base of Isabella's hair was cut by a skilled hair stylist so that the bottom edge- which is at a level just below her shoulders -is cut in a zig-zag pattern. The part in Isabella's hair at the top of her head also forms a neat zig-zag, and both combined give Isabella's boring, flat, dark brown hair an interesting and noticable touch. However, Isabella's long bangs, which fall to just abover her eyebrows, are not cut in a fancy way but are still well-trimmed to keep the hair out of Isabella's blue-green eyes. Isabella's nose is short and small, as well as her lips and ears, though the ears are always decorated with long, dangly earrings.

A normal outfit for Isabella would be a pair of dark bluejeans with rhinestone decorations on the back pockets and some kind of shirt. Typically, Isabella likes to wear nice, short-sleeved shirts that hang a few inches below the line of her pants and are well-ironed with fine creases on the edges. Since Isabella's favorite color is a dark teal, this is the color of shirt that she usually wears, and the usual color of the headband that Isabella puts into her hair at the base of her bangs. Isabella has few pairs of shoes, but her favorite pair- the one she almost always wears -is a set of white sandals (I know them as 'flip-flops' but that sounded cheesy) with sequins, beads, and a few rhinestones on the thick straps that hold them to her feet. While Isabella wears little jewelry and makeup, she does have her earrings, a bracelet on her left wrist, and she puts on mascera every single day without failure.

Personality: Isabella likes to insult people, but in a way that is either very creative or so subtle that her rude comment goes unnoticed, and in both cases she is most likely being sarcastic. It is only natural that on some occasions she will fail at one of these and look like simply a rude brat. While she is easily amused, Isabella almost never shows this with more than a light chuckle or quick giggle. When Isabella is sad however, she tries to make a huge deal about it and get everyone around her involved in her problems. Isabella is not easily angered, but when she is she piles threats and insults onto the person she is angry with still trying to be creative but not, however, subtle. At times, Isabella can be seriously mean and egotistical as she thinks highly of herself and finds great enjoyment in boasting and bragging.

History: Having been an only child, Isabella was denied for her entire life at home of the classic sibling rivalry she was sure to have craved. However, she managed to make due by always striving to be better than anyone else within three years of her age. At seven Isabella entered a competition where she was supposed to build and race a remote-controlled boat, and she miraculously won beating even adults who had tried their best. This was her only big victory though, but every failure Isabella has had makes her even more determined not to lose the next time. As soon as she turned ten, Isabella recieved a bulbasaur and vouged that she would become the league champion of some region one day. Currently, she is still working at that goal, which is what made her decide to send in an entry form for the tournament.

During her seven years as a trainer, Isabella traveled throughout the Kanto, and later the Sinnoh regions. Because of her love of oceans, Isabella tried to capture many sea pokemon and many times she wondered why she had not chosen squirtle rather than bulbasaur. But then she will always flush that thought out becasue Isabella loves her venusaur very much. The sea played another part in Isabella's trainer years, though, because she absolutely adored islands since they were surrounded by ocean waters. When Isabella first arrived in Canalave City, Sinnoh, she decided to take a trip to Iron Island before challenging the gym. There Isabella planned to do a bit of training and hunting for rare pokemon. These plans were ruined, though, when Isabella's boat was caught up in a storm and blown all the way to Full Moon Island where the boat crashed into the shore and was wrecked. Isabella, as well as the rest of the people on the boat, were marooned there for three days until finally they saw the lights of a rescue boat on the horizoin. After that, Isabella swore to check the weather forecast before every boat ride without question.

Years as a Trainer: As stated once in the history, seven.

Goal(s): Isabella has a high hope of one day becoming a pokemon league champion.

RPG Sample: Molly heaved out a sigh as she sat on her bed staring at the messenger who had brought news that she was drafted into a legendary's army. Said messenger was a mysterious purple snover who had hatched only moments before. "Oh little snover, what am I supposed to do?"

"Snooo? Snover snow snow."

"Okay, I have no idea what you just said, but I have and idea at least. I could tell my mom that I found you and want to go on a pokemon journey, maybe I can do some battles and capture other pokemon along the way, and if this 'Inertigon' really exists, maybe he will show himself."

"Snover snow!"

Molly shot a confused look at her pokemon. "You didn't understand any of that did you. Oh well, at least you are supportive. Come on, we need to talk to my mother." Molly grabbed the oddly-shaped hand of her snover and walked him out of her large, elegant, room and down the hallway to her parents' room. This particular hallway looked over the main entranceway and had a grand staircase leading down from the middle. A huge crystal chandelier hung over the staircase and reflected a thousand spots of light over the room. But Molly didn't stop to gawk; this was her house and teenage girl wanted nothing more than to reach the master bedroom at the center of the hall. Finally, Molly reached her destination and took a deep breath before placing her free hand on the doorknob and pulling it open. Once inside, Molly's mother noticed her arrival and turned to look.

"Oh my, Molly dear, where did you get that strange pokemon?"

As the snover stepped up beside her Molly shifted with unease and carefully thought out her response before talking. "I-I found this snover outside, and I wanted to keep him because he was very beautiful, as you can see. Then I started thinking and... well this is kind of sudden but I want to go on a pokemon journey!"

A look of shock crossed onto Molly's mother's face. "You really mean it? When you were ten I told you I could get you a pokemon, but you refused. Are you sure you want to do this now?"

"Yes, I'm sure, I'll be heading out right away. I don't think I want to be doing any gym battles... but contests seem very fun. And my snover's neat colors will get me tons of fame I'm sure of it. So... I guess this is goodbye." Molly shrugged and looked hopefully at her mother.

"Oh no you don't! Not without a backpack and some kind of sleeping bag in case you have to camp out, and some money and food of course. Come over here, you can have my old bag." Excitedly, Molly hurried over with the snover following close behind. Molly's mom opened up a large cabinet filled with many fascinating old things, but the one she pulled out was a was a small and stylish white backpack with a periwinkle pokeball design on the back. She handed it to Molly, and curiously the new trainer looked in the main pocket to find a lightweight, tan sleeping bag and a few potions that her mother had never taken out. Molly looked up at her mom with shining eyes.

"Wow! Thanks so much! I-I can't believe it!"

"Okay sweetie. Now take this too; you will need money for shopping at pokemarts and buying food while in town." Gratefully, Molly took the simple wallet that her mother had pulled out and checked to find out that there were one thousand dollars inside.

"All this? For me? Seriously, thanks. I'll be sure to stop in the next town... uh... Jubilife, to get some food with this. But now, I want to go be a pokemon co-ordinater. Goodbye Mom!" Molly was already out the door and rushing down the stairs when her mother shouted 'goodbye' back. Pausing to let her snover catch up, Molly opened the front door and took a step out into the warm Sandgem air. After taking a deep breath, Molly began to walk toward the route that would take her to Jubilife. A contest was supposed to be held there soon, a perfect chance to start off her career... and to train this snover for 'Inertigon'.

"Okay snover, your training begins today. I don't think you need a pokeball; you can just follow me around." Molly thought for a second before continuing. "But, I hate calling you just snover, so I hereby dub thee as Prince Frostbite!"

"Sno-snover!" The newly named 'Prince Frostbite' held his head high like a real prince and walked with his now giggling trainer out into the world outside the city.

Pokémon Species: Venusaur

Gender: Male

Moves: Vine whip, Solar beam, Frenzy plant, Poison powder, and Strength

Appearance: Venusaur looks like any other member of his species, although one might argue that the flower on his back is a little more red and darker than average. His eyes are also a different color being a dark, stormy blue-grey. The skin on Venusaur's feet is just barely tinted this color too. Because Isabella is very proud of Venusaur and loves him very much, she gave him an extra large bandana that is the same color as the flower on his back. From a battle against a growlithe long ago, one of the leaves ringing said flower is singed off so that it is only half its normal length.

History: Isabella recieved Venusaur when he was just a little bulbasaur as her first pokemon. Like most trainers in Kanto, Isabella was allowed to choose a pokemon from among the trio of charmander, bulbasaur, and squirtle. Despite her love of water-types, Isabella chose the bulbasaur because he seemed the strongest and the most energetic of all the pokemon presented to her. Surprisingly, Isabella was able to bond with Bulbasaur very quickly, and with a lot of training she managed to have him evolve into Venusaur before challenging the gym at Fuscia city. Since Venusaur had so much experience under his belt, as well as tons of love from his trainer, Isabella made the choice to keep Venusaur with her at all times. Most of the time, Isabella rides along on his back from her favorite spot right behind his neck.

Pokémon Species: Ninetails

Gender: Female

Moves: Confuse ray, Flamethrower, Will-o-wisp, Fire blast, Flare blitz

Appearance: On occasion Isabella will refer to Ninetails as 'Eight-and-a-half-tails' since she lost almost half of the tail on her extreme right when she was sleeping and a Rotom in a lawnmower wanted to pull a cruel prank. Needless to say, cutting off Ninetails' tail counted as pulling it and Rotom was inflicted with the infamous cures associated with pulling a ninetails' tail. Because Ninetails orignally belonged to Isabella's rich grandmother, she wears a beautiful black necklace with firey red gems on it, although Isabella has no idea what those gems are or even if they are real. Whether they are legit or not, Isabella has always thought the collar was pretty and never took it off of her pokemon.

History: As a vulpix, Ninetails was owned by Isabella's wealthy grandparents as a housepet. One day, though, Vulpix found her way into Isabella's grandmother's jewelry boxes and stole a broach with a firestone on it. Without the help of any humans, Vulpix used the broach to evolve into Ninetails, and as a result she became more powerful and was no longer wanted as a simple pet. After that, Isabella's grandparents gave Ninetails to her new trainer- Isabella of course -to be taught the ways of battling in gyms and against other trainers. Not wanting to displease her grandparents, Isabella trained Ninetails hard and eventually she became one of Isabella's strongest and most beautiful pokemon, until the day she lost a tail in the Old Chateau. Then she was merely one of Isabella's strongest pokemon.

Pokémon Species: Kingdra

Gender: Female

Moves: Dragon pulse, Aqua tail, Hydro pump, Dragon dance

Appearance: While at first sight she appears to be exactly like every other of her kind, Kindra has longer coral-like structures on her head than most and those are of a darker color than usual. However, the rest of Kingdra's body is just a twinge lighter than it should be which gives a greater sense of contrast between the two parts of her body. A dark personality is responsible for Kindra's lowered eyebrows and the mischeivious glimmer that is almost always present in her eyes. Finally, the yellow area on Kingdra's belly is wider and more prominent than that of other kingdras.

History: Just shortly after capturing her 10th pokemon, Isabella wanted to celebrate her victory and did so by renting a super rod from a fisher on the route where she was traveling. The ocean was not far from this area of Kanto, so Isabella was able to simply walk there within minutes. Upon arriving, Isabella found a rocky area where she could cast in her line and fush up some magikarp, hoping to find an extra beautiful or large one that she could show off. Instead, Isabella pulled up a horsea who had been injured badly by the fishing line. Feeling guilty that she had hurt the rare pokemon, Isabella pulled out some potions and berries that would help to make Horsea better. Since she didn't expect any forgiveness, Isabella was surprised and thrilled when Horsea began nosing around Bella's pokeballs and happily crying out. The capture of Horsea, who later evolved into Kingdra, was the easiest one Isabella had done.

Pokémon Species: Ledian

Gender: Male

Moves: Safegaurd, Solar beam, Psybeam, Silver wind, Brick break

Appearance: Ledian grew up in an area with many beautiful stars, so he has many beautiful black spots on his brilliant red back. While most ledian have blue eyes, this one is different because he has dark golden eyes. The lower third of ledians red wings has an orangish tint and is halfway between the color of a regular ledian and a shiny ledian, although the rest of him has no resemblence to a shiny at all. Since he holds the undoubted title as Isabella's favorite pokemon and best partner- even more so than her starter -Ledian was honored with a beautiful silver bandana that he wears on his forhead. Somtimes, Ledian's bandana will fall into his eyes and block his vision, which for some reason doesn't seem to deter him in battle.

History: Isabella clearly remembers how odd she found it that a ledyba was hiding behind a rock in one of the highest, coldest parts of the greatest mountain range in Sinnoh, and more specifically on Mt. Coronet. Regardless of the oddity of the situation, Isabella proceeded to battle and capture the ledyba. Shortly after hiking back down Mt. Coronet Isabella came upon a group of trainers, one of them with a worried look on his face. Although Isabella didn't really care about the saddened trainer, curiosity made her ask him why he seemed so worried. The trainer quickly explained that one of his pokeballs had broken on Mt. Coronet and that the ledyba he had contained inside had gotten lost. Realizing that the ledyba he was describing was the one Isabella had captured, she apologized and gave the now thirlled boy back his pokemon in the new pokeball. However, upon releasing Ledyba, the two trainers discovered that ledyba didn't want to go back to his old trainer and was hanging around Isabella. Knowing that it was best for his pokemon, the trainer entrusted Ledyba to Isabella. Amazingly, Ledyba quickly rose to be Isabella's most trusted and supportive partner and within a few months the two were inseparable.

Pokémon Species: Girafarig

Gender: Female

Moves: Psybeam, Baton pass, Stomp, Headbutt

Appearance: With her large round eyes and almost comically oversized limbs and tail head, Girafarig looks very strange compared to the others of her kind. These features may turn away other girafarigs, but humans seem to find her quirky appearance to be adorable. In an effort to eliminate her completely unwanted attention, shy Girafarig often keeps her head low to the ground. The head on her tail however is an egotist and attention-hog; it will always be found straigtened upright and perpetually in full view. For some reason, Girafarig is missing one of the brown spots on her neck making a total of only three.

History: Because Girafarig was nervous about how others of her species viewed her oddly cartoonish appearance, she often traveled near, or more commonly at, the back of the heard. Seeing this stunningly cute pokemon isolating itself to some extent was enough of an invitation for Isabella to send out a pokemon and battle right away. It was unfortunate though, because Isabella had undersetimated Girafarig's strength; the giraffe pokemon went through three of Isabella's before it was finally captured. Pleased with her work, Isabella tried to train Girafarig, but she wasn't too keen of being bossed around and often disobeyed or headbutted her trainer. Even now Girafarig will, on rare occasions, be a butt by purposely evading orders.

Pokémon Species: Magnezone

Gender: Ungendered

Moves: Magnet bomb, Tri attack, Thunderbolt, Charge

Appearance: No matter what angle, what point of view, what personality you are, there is no way you can distinguish Magnezone from the majority of its species. It has no birthmark, no off-colored areas, no scars, and no other quirks. Seeing this frustrated Isabella through and through, causing her to become so bothered by its monotonous looks. Eventually, Isabella decided that she would change that so she ordered Magnezone to close its eyes and she spraypainted a black line that went all around the central part of its body and through its eyelids.

History: At one time during her year as a fifteen-year-old, Isabella was visiting back in Kanto and heard a legend about one of the legendary bird pokemon that was said to live in the old powerplant near the entrance to the rock tunnel. Eager to catch a glimpse of the unique pokemon, Isabella hurried to the power plant and began her search. Sadly, she did not find Zapdos, the pokemon said to live there, but she did manage to capture a magneton. Later when exploring one of the caves of Mt. Coronet in Sinnoh, Isabella was training her magneton and to her amazement it evolved into magnezone. After that, Isabella realized that Magnezone could potentially be one of her strongest pokemon, so she devoted a large amount of time to training her soldier-obediant pokemon.

The End. I hope you liked my sign up.

Okay, need to go over a few things first. Though I would like to say that huge font is not necessary (and kind of ugly). And you don’t need to put those tags around every paragraph – a tag will continue working until you use a closing end tag. Like these italics will continue

Until I end them with[/I][/QUOITE]

Sorry about the font, I'll change it as soon as possible. I'll fix the tags as well.

Psychic said:

I'll add the things to the plot. The owners are the Champions (like Cynthia and Lance), but this doesn't take away from their time as the Champion, like if someone wanted to battle, because the tournament isn't that long and, plus, there is still the Elite Four trainers can battle. It was just really a deserted Island so it was decided by Ash to build a Stadium and over time it was called Battle Island. It just seems better to use boat because it's an island that is on an ocean, so boat is a good way to get to it, from any region. Well, ity isn't exactly 500 applications, but around there. Well, really experinced trainerrs (because if you've been a trainer fro about five years, you've got some good experience.

Psychic said:

Not all trainers started around ten, but around there. But I'll change it to at least five years of minimum experiences, then I'll change the age limit a little. No, I mean one trainer can't have 6 Eevees on their team or something like that. It's just that pretty much of all of the winners had Garchomps so the Champs wanted to see something new from the winner, and everyone else.

I'll just change that whole section around and you mean put it in numbering form? The first few matches are like 3 on 3, but it eventually gets to 6 on 6. It actually now seems like a bad idea for a time limit.

Psychic said:
Firstly, “you’re” means “you are,” and “your” means “belonging to you” (like “your Pokémon”). Second, this is not a job. This is the role. And trainers may be…out training and travelling, not necessarily staying at home. What happened to 150 that it went to 8? Where exactly is this “there” that they are supposed to go? E-mails are also faster than letters, especially if the Pokémon League is apparently giving second chances to applicants. =P
Thanks for the info. Anyway, I'll change it to role. They sent the Applications out earlier and knew it might take awhile, but thwey stayed at home that day, knowing they would see if they got Accepted.

Psychic said:
And regarding the battles…first off, making your RPers just type up a post with a random NPC battle isn’t much fun. And second, how exactly do you judge the winner of a battle? Don’t you just go based off whoever has the most remaining Pokémon, or whose Pokémon have the most strength left at the end?
Who would they battle and it can be a Rival, but not in all matches. Yeah, I know. I was basing it off how they battled and Strategy and stuff like that.

1. I'll make the adjustment
2. Yeah, but they should notify me somehow
3. Like 2, they should at least say something and not disappear out of the blue. You know, say beforehansd or something.
4. Most of the time they won't follow the rules and, yeah, I'm an experienced GM I just messed up, everyone makes mistake. Not everyone is perfect. ><
8. Whatever, I'm just giving them ideas!

Good luck,

~Psychic

So, I'll edit the things when I get home, or tomorrow. Sometime soon.

Sam then threw on his sweater, grabbed his pokeballs, all six of them and walked out of his house. It was a pretty mellow morning, not many cars in the road, nobody walking around the streets. We never get many of these days, he thought to himself. After about an hour of walking he approached the meadow where he likes to relax. Sam then heard a loud *HELP!!!* He immediatly jumps up and runs toward the yell, almost a second nature. As he approaces the voice, he sees a young girl, no older than 8, maybe 9 years old about 10 feet from a very angry, and large ursuring. He pushes her out of the way while throwing out his Heracross. The ursaring strikes with a Hammer Arm. heracross dodges while countering with a devistating close combat. The ursuring then attacks with a slash and heracross finishes it with a brick break and defeates it. After the battle he takes the little girl home (whose name he later finds out is Annie). Floydyboy, Pending. In the RPG Sample, you have to skip a line when a new person speaks, it's in the SerebiiForum RPG Rules.

Rosemary, Reserved. Two weeks.

crazysteve1001, Denied. Your RPG Sample is horrible, add description and skip a line when someone else talks. Eevee isn't a Starter. Your character is from Kanto so it has to be either a Squirtle, Bulbasaur, or Charmander as Starter. (obviously fully evolved)

The Jewel of Life, Acepted!

All of my Pokemon added. Am I allowed to add a seventh Pokemon, not for battling, but for the story? Like a cheer squad.

Razor Shiftry

Cynthia = Porn Star
do you have to have a starter in your pokemon teamline up? Its just that not everyone is from the "starter" towns and surely as long as you have a pokemon, you can just apply for a trainer licence and off you go...?

Its just i'm not really fond of using any starters currently.

Floydyboy, when I meant skip a line, I mean this:

"See," I said

"Like this," I said

But that would be when a new person speaks. Also, no seventh Pokem,on, please.

Razor Shiftry, yes, you have to have Starter and you have to be at the same Region the Starter is in. No like Sandgem or Littleroot where you would get it in the games.

Also, Psychic said we have to have Personality's on the Pokemon, so add that in please.

Name: Myrah Canyon

Age: Fifteen

Gender: Female

Hometown: Vermillion City

Starter: Charizard

Appearance: Myrah can be described as almost a dainty looking person. She’s slim in figure from years of track and field and stands at only five foot three. Her dirty blonde hair extends just past her shoulders and is layered slightly. Her bangs are side-swept across her forehead and have been since she was little. Myrah’s eyes are olive green, the colour accentuating different moods as they can look cold and hard when she’s angry, or soft and pleasant when she’s in a good mood.

Typically, an outfit for Myrah consists of a pair of black athletic Capri’s, a light blue shirt covered by a dark green Adidas hoodie and a pair of black and white Adidas sneakers she bought with some money she won from a battle contest. She occasionally wears a pair of glasses too, but prefers to wear contacts as she’s often running around and doesn’t want to have to buy another pair.

Personality: Calm and collected, Myrah seemingly appears older than she is just from her personality. Though friendly and sociable, Myrah does prefer the company of her Pokémon over that of humans. She is determined and goal-oriented though, proving to be critical after her run-through with the Indigo Plateau. She can be a jealous person, but tries to cover it up with the fact that she is compassionate and kind, but sometimes lets the little green monster get the best of her.

History: Myrah’s life was pretty average. She grew up in Vermillion City and went to school like normal children. At the age of ten she applied for her trainer’s permit and was accepted. She travelled to Pallet Town shortly after to receive her first Pokémon, which she hoped would be a Bulbasaur.
Myrah’s first Pokémon was not the one she expected. Upon arriving at the lab she found that out of all the Pokémon, only the Charmander liked her enough to want to travel with her. Crestfallen, Myrah accepted the Charmander anyway and began working hard with it. They never bonded well until a harsh defeat from Brock at Pewter Gym threw things into perspective for Myrah. She worked on building her relationship with her Charmander, and over time it grew considerably.

Myrah’s Kanto team was good enough to throw her into the top eight at the Indigo Plateau. However, upon finishing up she decided to retire all of them except her Charmeleon and her Poliwhirl and head to Hoenn.

Myrah and her Charmeleon got into a fight shortly after landing in Hoenn. After a personality change within her Charmeleon upon evolving, Myrah was too scared to allow him to evolve again to Charizard. This changed when they were walking through Rustboro Tunnel and a rock slide occurred. Myrah’s Charmeleon evolved to Charizard to protect Myrah, and since then their bond has grown.

After a couple of years in Hoenn and a top sixteen spot in the Hoenn league and a few new friends, Myrah heard about Battle Island and the competition taking place. Shortly after heading home, Myrah received a letter from the committee that holds the future for her in terms of the competition.

Years as a Trainer: Five

Goal(s): Myrah hopes to one day become part of the Frontier Brains after going through in her time in Hoenn.

RPG Sample: Taken from Ring of Champions by Burrado Aipom

The training session had gone quite well in Jazzy's opinion. Her Nidoqueen seemed to have perfected the accuracy on her Iron Tail, something vital for her as she couldn't move very much with all her bulky armor.

Her Staravia, while lacking in huge powerhouse moves, had begun to string together a few attacks to make up for the fact that Jazzy had decided not to teach it Brave Bird. It was now looking like perhaps the combination of moves that Jazzy let it keep were turning out to be a good decision.

Sudowoodo hadn't done much practicing though. He had mimicked a few other Pokemon, but in the end he began bothering Staravia, hoping the two of them could get into a bit of mischief.

Jasmine's Butterfree had carefully been preparing a Silver Wind/Sleep Powder combo, but away from the rest of the group. If she accidentally blew her wind the wrong way, the whole team would be knocked out before they could say 'help'.

Piplup, though the smallest of the group and least powerful, had proven to have quite a creative mind. She had been attacking a tree for the past half an hour, freezing her bubbles with a powerful Ice Beam. The frozen bubbles shattered on contact with the tree, leaving deep scratch marks in it.

The only Pokemon that had done absolutely nothing, had been Jasmine's Vileplume. The trainer had begged and enticed the Pokemon to do something, anything, but the plant Pokemon had remained firm. She wasn't going to be doing anything anytime soon.

With a sigh, Jazzy recalled all her Pokemon except Piplup and made her way back towards the damaged Pokemon Centre. She was trying to decide if it were lucky that she had received a room on the ground floor as she had easy access to it, but the Earthquake had still caused damage, she found.

Books had toppled off the single shelf and the shelf itself had dropped from the wall. The bed and side table had crashed together against one wall and the lamp that had previously resided on the table was now broken near the spot where the table had previously sat. The window was cracked, its pane detailed now with intricate little spiderwebs in it and Jazzy was afraid that if she touched it the whole thing would just collapse. Slowly, the trainer began rearranging what she could of the furniture, hoping that this wouldn't become part of her room fee.

Pokemon

Pokémon Species: Charizard ;006;

Gender: Male

Moves: Heat Wave, Dragon Rage, Air Slash, Focus Punch and Flamethrower

Appearance: Like all Charizard’s, Myrah’s is not much different, except for the colour. It appears that upon evolving, Charizard reverted back to the original colouring of his Charmander stage. His rough hide ca be described as a lighter orange than others and it helps Myrah identify him when in a crowd. Other than that however, there are not many noticeable traits that distinguish Charizard from others of its kind.

Personality: Upon evolving, Charizard seemed to mature a lot. As a Charmander, he was rambunctious and energetic and as a Charmeleon he was a bit of a hot-head show-off. Now, however, Charizard seems to have matured into a calm demeanour. He does, however, have a quick temper and when in a particularly nasty mood his tail will flash with streaks of hot, blue fire. His favourite activities include sleeping and eating, though still manages to keep a decent physic. Like Myrah, he has a determined personality and is very goal-oriented.

History: As stated in Myrah’s history, Charizard was not Myrah’s first choice of starting Pokémon. However, because he loved Myrah the best, he was given to her as her starter. The two of them had a rocky relationship for most of their time together up until now, where they share a mutual respect for each other. Notable events in his life were the crushing defeat at Pewter Gym which helped Myrah understand him, the rock slide in Rustboro Tunnel which caused him to evolve to Charizard and countless wins in gyms and in league battles.

Pokémon Species: Poliwhirl ;061;

Gender: Male

Moves: Earthquake, Surf, Hydro Pump, Ice Ball and Brick Break

Appearance: Like Charizard, the only difference in Poliwhirl that can be noted is his colour. The slimy blue skin that covers his body is lighter than most other Poliwhirl’s and is so light that he can be recognized easily (though not quite the colour of a shiny species). He keeps his gloves in perfect condition and are always as white as the clouds on a Altaria. He has no noticeable scars or battle wounds and is very prestigious in keeping himself in tip-top shape.

Personality: Poliwhirl can be described as a bit of a diva. He cares about how he looks and works out everyday, often training with Myrah’s Breloom as both share an interest in fighting. He is friendly and caring, but also noticeably quiet and does enjoy his time alone, much like Myrah. He doesn’t take losing too harshly, like some of the others but he does work hard to get back in it for a rematch. Favourite pass-times include fighting, swimming and grooming himself.

History: The second Pokémon Myrah met on her journey, Poliwhirl was a young Poliwag at the time of capture and was used to help Myrah win her battle at the Pewter City gym. At the time, Poliwhirl hadn’t been very confident and had many insecurities. Gradually, it began getting more powerful, yet didn’t evolve until Myrah challenged the Vermillion City gym, back in her hometown. Poliwhirl travelled with Myrah to Hoenn even though she only intended to take Charmeleon with her. The two share a good bond and Poliwhirl is always ready to lend a helping hand.

Pokémon Species: Breloom ;286;

Gender: Male

Moves: Energy Ball, Dynamicpunch, Solarbeam, Double-Team and Sunny Day

Appearance: Breloom looks like all other Brelooms. There is no colour change, size difference or anything really, and Myrah is just fine with that. However, it does have a thin scar along it’ leg from an encounter with a Swellow attack shortly after he evolved. Breloom does, however, seem to give off an aroma similar to that of a Maganium and for this reason, loves to be out doors to present it to other Pokémon and trainer a like.

Personality: Though still quite ‘manly’, Breloom is the only Pokémon on Myrah’s team that took an interest to contests when Myrah decided to enter in Hearthome City. He enjoys working hard to make all attacks look appealing, even in battle and this can work for him quite well. The master strategist of the team, Breloom can often be found pondering move combinations for not only contests, but the many battles that Myrah puts him in as well. He is often one of the two Pokémon she sets up for tag-team battling as he works well with Charizard and Poliwhirl relationship wise and moves. Other pastimes include fighting and joking around with Poliwhirl and Mismagius.

History: Breloom was caught shortly after arriving in Hoenn. Though the two previous members of Myrah’s team were already strong and powerful, Myrah worked hard with Breloom to get him up to speed and become a powerful opponent. When in Verdanturf Town, Myrah learned of contests and entered Breloom. Using a few ingenious combinations, Breloom was able to win Myrah a ribbon. However, Myrah soon walked away from contests but Breloom stuck with it. He works hard to make all his attacks look appealing and hopes Myrah will enter a contest again soon.

Pokémon Species: Gardevoir ;282;

Gender: Female

Moves: Psychic, Future Sight, Magical Leaf, Shadow Ball and Focus Blast

Appearance: Like Breloom, upon first glance there appears to be no differences between Myrah’s Gardevoir and the common ones found throughout the Pokémon World. However, upon closer inspection you might notice that the red part of Gardevoir’s chest is instead, a light shade of orange. This does not seem to take from the Pokémon’s ability or grace however, and both Myrah and her Gardevoir have learned to ignore the colour change.

Personality: Elegant and proud, Gardevoir acts as the dominant figure in the group, which tends to annoy Charizard. She is quiet, calm and collected and never loses her cool in a situation. She also always seems to be ready for battles and tends to think her way through battles rather than use sheer force. Because of this, she does spend a small amount of time with Breloom strategizing, but other than that she usually keeps to herself. She seems to be the one that keeps the whole team grounded though, and acts as a motherly figure when the time calls for it.

History: Myrah met Gardevoir as the typical shy Ralts that many people find. She was nervous and intimidated by a lot of things (mainly the Charizard she has grown to rival) but gradually began overcoming her fears, much like Breloom did. She was a late evolver, never evolving to Gardevoir until reaching the first Frontier Brain after the Hoenn League. However, even by then as a Kirlia, she was showing strong amounts of power that helped make her one of Myrah’s big power-houses on the team.

Pokémon Species: Luxray ;405;

Gender: Male

Moves: Discharge, Night Slash, Hyper Beam, Spark and Iron Tail

Appearance: Sparky can be classified as one of Myrah’s only normal Pokémon. He has no colour disfigurations, no scars, no nothing out of the ordinary. He’s just your typical Luxray with the dark blue fur and the black mane with the glowing yellow eyes that can supposedly see through walls. Even the star on his tail his normal, with the typical four points seen on others of its species. And though Myrah has thought of altering his appearance a bit, Luxray hasn’t exactly been the most co-operative in that area...

Personality: Tough as the person that Myrah received him from, Luxray is the drill sergeant of the team. He works the hardest to be the strongest and is often competing with Charizard and sometimes Gardevoir when she feels like battling them. Luxray can arguably be the fastest member of Myrah’s team and is often the one she sends for short messages along the ground (Charizard is used for air mail). Although he is tough, Luxray does have a compassionate side and is always willing to help out a friend in need. His drill sergeant ways often clouds his mind though and he can be very stubborn and thick-headed.

History: While wandering around town shortly after her victories in Hoenn, Myrah was approached by the gym leader of Vermillion City, Lieutenant Surge. He had recently been to Sinnoh and after hearing of her victories in Hoenn, decided to give her a gift from a land she hadn’t visited yet. Myrah received a Luxio and after considerable training, was soon evolved an on par with the rest of the team. However, after spending lots of time with Lt. Surge, Luxray did have training methods of his own and he and Myrah would (and still do) get into arguments often.

Pokémon Species: Mismagius ;429;

Gender: Female

Moves: Power Gem, Destiny Bond, Thunderbolt, Protect and Will-o-Wisp

Appearance: Like Myrah’s Luxray, Mismagius is the other Pokémon on her team that does not have any colour changes, scars or other abnormalities from other Mismagius’. She is naturally dark purple with the custom red gem and sinister sparkling eyes that give her a fitting, mysterious and mischievous air. Myrah has also tried to alter the appearance of Mismagius slightly to be able to identify her better, but unfortunately the Pokémon always seems to lose whatever accessory Myrah gives her...

Personality: As one would suspect, Myrah’s Mismagius is the most creative, innovative and mischievous of her crew. She is always up for a practical joke and never really takes things too seriously, including battles. She’s more of a wild Pokémon still, giving the idea to Myrah to make her ghost Pokémon her wild card. With some pretty creative moves, Mismagius is always willing to test them out on unsuspecting passer-bys. Of course, this usually gets her a scolding from Myrah or Gardevoir and a pat on the back from Breloom.

History: After coming home from Hoenn, Myrah was informed that a wild Pokémon had broken the upstairs window of the attic and was causing quite a racquet. When Myrah went up to the attic to find the source of the noise, she was surprised to find a Misdreavus causing the destruction. After a quick battle Myrah successfully caught the Misdreavus and began training ever since. However, because Mismagius had never been in an official battle before, the competition will sort of serve as her first official competition battle.

Double-oh-Platypus, Acceptance Letter Sent! The only thing I would change in is the History where you said Myrah received her Acceptance Letter when that wouldn't really be confirmed. Other then that, good!
