Pokemon you wish you didn't need to evolve from R/S/E

Well this is simple. To get the best out of a pokemon you need to fully evolve it, but what pokemon do you wish you could use without needing to evolve it.

Mine would be ChinChou, I like Lanturn, but ChinChou just looks pretty awesome

I am actually debating right now whether to evolve my Metang. I absolutely hate Metagross, but I need its "power" for the BF. I know I will regret either way, evolving it or not...

I wish I did not have to evolve my Trapinch, Arena Trap is a killer, but it, as my Pikachu, is weak...so sad really, some final forms are horrific...

Not all have to be evolved for their full potential. Chansey is still considered BU (borderline underused for the Netbattle-illiterate), even though it isn't evolved. Trapinch had distinct uses as a trapper and killer, and even has higher base Attack than Dugtrio. Pikachu has better Special Attack with Light Ball than Raichu.

Ingame, it really does not matter what you use, because anything with almost any moves can defeat the Elite Four. For the Battle Frontier, you'd have a harder time if you used your favorites, but it most likely could still be done if you raised them the right way.

oddly, trapinch is also considered playable (though UU or NU) on NetBattle, thanks to 100 base attack, STAB EQ, and quick attack. scyther/metang/pupitar/kadabra are considered UU as well, as far as NFE pokes go.

I don't like evolving Bagon into Shelgon, because to me its an ugly stage for it. But, luckily, it soon evolves into Salamence, which looks much less ugly.

Well you don't "need" to evolve a Seadra into Kingdra since they have the same stats for Sp.Atk and Speed are the same.

It's a much cooler pokemon than Kingdra in my opinion

Probably grovyle. IMO sceptile is pretty dam* ugly

I never evolved Pikachu into Raichu, only once that I needed to fill my PokeDex, maybe Raichu is more powerful than Pikachu but I have Light Ball and then for that reason I couldn't waste it.

For others, I would never evolve Oddish into Gloom, but thank God Gloom can evolve again so I don't get really furious.

Marshtomp...I looks so cool and, in my opinion, Swampert is ugly. Other than that, maybe Corphish.

Dratini should be the ultimate Pokemon. > Dratini just looks cool, yet its the lowest of a 3 Evolution stage, so it's stats suck.

hm, i think you can guess which pokemon i don't like to evolve..
vigoroth looks so much cooler than slaking and his ability is much better. O, and scyther too, his blades are so cool compared to scizors claws..

I like Vigoroth more than Slaking for a few reasons.

Slaking has Truant ability, which sux.
Slaking isn't cool, he's ugly. But Vigoroth's cool.

I didn't like evolving Treecko or Grovyle because Sceptile is weird. I never evolved my Pikachu, either. Bagon too because Shelgon's in a...well, shell. I accidentally evolved Spheal and its evolutions look like men with the moustache-like whiskers...and it was a girl. I evolved my Growilthe, which I had not wanted to do, even if Arcanine is cool.
