I know it's a play on words.... I just think if we are going to use a horrible name it should at least be scientifically correct... ^^;;

Mice aren't part of the lagomorph order. So Pikachu can't be a lagomorph. The order which both rabbits and mice are a part of is the "Glires" superorder.

Ahhh this all too confusing... @_@;;;

I say we just combine their names and call it "PikaMimiShipping" who's with me? :D

The name is stuck as it is... whether we like it or not. >.< We'll just have to find a way to accept the way it is. XD

I wonder how often Mimiroru is going to be out of her pokeball now... XD

I don't get why people keep saying that it's stuck and we HAVE to call it that... it's just a name. A name can be changed. If no-one calls it "lagomorph" and everyone calls it something different, then the "official" name will be whichever name is most popular, and the old one will become obsolete.

Who makes names "official" anyway? It's not like we are going to be thrown in a "shipping jail" if we don't call a ship by the name that some random dude says we should call it.

I think a name change would be beneficial... the current name we have is ugly, hard to remember and not even scientifically correct. It was most likely suggested by some random smart aleck who decided to show off how smart he was by making an obscure play on words...

I say we need a name that is short, cute, straight to the point and tells newcomers exactly what the ship is about. We don't need a hundred newbies asking "Whats Pikachu x Mimiroru called?" and "Wtf is LagomorphShipping?".

That's why I suggest "PikaMimi" for our new name. ^^

Yeah I totally agree with Meowth! A name like "Logomorph" is stupid and more trouble than it's worth. I mean, who knows cares what the heck a Logomorph is anyway... none of the fans like it so we should change it to something that most fans like and can agree on. I think "PikaMimi" is a much better name for this ship and will avoid newbies saying "Wtf is a Logomorph???".

You guys have no value of education, do you? So what if 'Lagomorph' is something more science specific (not th mention, as stated before, a play-on-words)? Are you afraid of things that need more than one braincell to comprehend?

Elephantpajamashipping was submitted for a crack pairing (Nosepass!evo x Dr. Quackenpoker). I honestly didn't get it, and thought it was absurb. It wasn't until he explained its origin involving one of the Marx brothers that it made sense and I let it go through.

Lagomorphshipping is it. I don't care what you call it in private, but Lagomorph is official. First come, first serve, as to prevent THINGS LIKE THIS. Or were you not paying attention to the forums when Brock/Lucy wound up with three or four 'ship names? It's to prevent a whole load of confusion on the part of new 'shippers. "Why does this have two/three/four names?"

And if you REALLY wanna spare people the confusion of the word 'Lagomorph', why not just ask the thread-creator to edit his first post with an explanation on the damn name you guys prepare in advance? Is that so hard?

And PikaMimi? ......Yeah, I'm not adding /that/ one to the list. At least not with -shipping attached to it.

I don't care about official name. Someone who created it must have big imagination. English isn't my first language so I don't know what the Lagomorph is and it even doesn't suit so cute couple. Cute couple needs adorable name, not Lagomoproporporporsomething. Some kids don't understand this word either because they are already 7 or 8 years old. You can use this OFFICIAL name if its so important but I'm going to use my own name what is PikaMimishipping because its easy to remember and suits Pikachu x Mimiroru thingy well. I don't know why you are so stubborn with your Lagomorphshipping.

Not a bad name actually... but alas, my reputation as the "Absol" of this thread is here again. Some people on Livejournal and a group I know on MSN have coined that name for Pikachu x Mimiroru x Mimiroppu. A poly ship. ^^;

Now, the "Pika" in this does not mean "Pikachu"! Pikachu is a mouse, not a pika, and therefore belongs in the "Rodentia" order and not the "Lagomorph" order, making this shipping's name incorrect, even if it is a play on words...

Why bother with an obscure scientific name for this ship if it isn't even correct?

The point of the name is that it scientifically applies to rabbits and hares. The 'pika' does not have to apply to Pikachu's "species type" which is simply classified as Mouse for simplification. Because Pikachu? Ain't no mouse by serious scientific classification. That's what makes it fit.
