PokeName ideas

I don't know if there is a thread for this but in Special, most of them nicknamed their Pokemon in a certain pattern, for example Pearl named his Chimchar Chimlord and his Chatot Chatlord. So, if you followed a naming pattern what pattern would you like to select? In one of my stories my Pokemon's names end with -ar, and my friends' Pokemon's names end with -king, -y and -max.

I don't know if this thread should be moved to the forum games section but talk about this...

P.S., could you suggest a good name for a male Ralts? Its current supremely stupid name is Galediar...

I dunno, "Slicer"? (Since it has those swords on its arms and all; I'm assuming you're naming it for when it evolves into Gallade.)

I usually nickname my pokemon based off of defining features, signature attacks, or if they help me with events (for example, I have one pokemon that defeated the rival's final pokemon in all three runs through FR and LG; his name is now Champ. I have another who I used in every single raid on Team Galactic to defeat the majority of its members as well as its leaders; his name is Justice.). There are a few pokemon I've nicknamed for other reasons, but the point is you should really get to know the pokemon you're nicknaming before you nickname it; nickname it something that actually means something rather than just following what the characters in the ***** do.

I name them after heroes like El Cid, Joan of Arc (JoanArc), Erik the Red (ErikDRed).

I'm thinking about doing themes like campfire songs, historical Americans, or just putting the end of their name plus "god." (As in, ElfGod, DosGod, ApeGod, TinaGod, e.t.c.)

I usually name my pokemon after foods, make bad puns on their names or make bad food-based puns on their names XD Like my Jolteon and Flareon, Glaze and Sprinkles, and Cromnombat, my Crobat :3

I put the suffix, 'ship' at the end of each of my Pokemon's name, as well as a word that describes them. For example:

Jolteon: JoltShip
Espeon: EspiShip
Glaceon: GlaciShip
Porygon-Z: FlagShip
Luxray: DuskShip
Luxray: UltraShip
Haunter: SpookShip
Magnemite: FlagShip

I nickname my pokemon random things. One nickname was a load of spaces and a single exclaimation mark. One is all them signs that mean male and female etc. etc. I think you get the idea.
