PokePoisonous

Just something I want to know.. how can every Pokemon that learns TMs, learn Toxic? Surely not every Pokemon has a poison gland in their body. It's especially weird that Swablu can learn it; doesn't it hate getting dirty?

Anyway, post here; why do you think all of these Pokemon learn toxic?

All Pokemon have poison glands, they look cute, but they all have poison, which is why they can use Toxic

Maybe its implying pokémon is hazardous to your health. That's another ridiculous lawsuit in the making.

Maybe the Toxic is like..umm.. umm.. Re-...no..umm..

Maybe they like make it in 2 seconds and release it?

I can't readily explain this one, due to several pokemon lacking the glands, the breath (something like that of a komodo dragon), and hands.

Well isn't it obvious?

Magic.

No not really. Toxic is most likely a special variety of saliva that is created by the pokemon naturally.

I think that in the games all Pokemon have a certain magic to them. Or Toxic is poop. Whatever.

Maybe, in the heat of battle pokemon start to sweat, their sweat is poisonous so these use toxic with their sweat.

It's like watergun, How can something soo small (Squirtle) make a massive stream of water come out of it's mouth?

It's gotta be magic.

Since Pokemon evolution takes place in a flash, why can't they just modify their salivary or mucous (fish) glands? That's what snakes evolved over a long period of time.

Haven't you wondered why your pokemon in FR/LG glow after you place a TM over their head? Don't say they were on a budget. Bodily evolution!

My Feraligatr 'Uzi' has some very prized skills and refuses to believe that crock. Why can't his body simply condense water at a breakneck pace?

Toxic? Well, maybe it's a kinda in-joke with the developers or something. Although, if it was, we'd probably have heard why by now.

Actually, to be honest, it's just one of those useful "all-round" moves that any Pokémon should be able to use. By this, I mean EVERY Pokémon can also learn Protect too (except Regigigas, but that'd be just cheating.) The same goes for Endure etc, so maybe many all-purpose TMs just got a "global" use so the Trainer can just choose how to strategise, and use them. So, there doesn't really have to be a reason for all Pokémon being "poisonous". Unless of course, it was passed down from Mew or something.

Either that, or all Pokémon secrete some kind of defensive toxin, which is most likely. You can't argue that they won't have such glands, because in the Pokémon world, real-world biology doesn't count for anything (e.g. breeding, seeings as every species lays eggs.)

Maybe Toxic isn't really poison per se, but just a chemical that one kind of Pokemon produces which is harmful to other Pokemon - as in every single Pokemon produces a unique poison which harms other pokemon. It's like their DNA or something, and when they introduce it into the body of another pokemon, it harms and "poisons" them because it's some form of foreign object.

Farfetched theory, but then again, it's Pokemon. It could be magic for all you know.

i totally agree with ur theory!!

just like us humans, we have this acid in our stomachs that digests the food we eat...but pokemons aren't humans so they must have a special kind of acid/chemical that they produce and they can hurl it at the foe...the desc. of toxic is "Poisons the foe with an intensifying toxin"...they have their own toxins just like humans but maybe their toxin is much fatal than human's and they can control those toxins, unlike us...
