Pokerus Concern

I traded over a Pkmn to my emerald game from ruby tht was infected with the pokerus. It still had it the next day after I took it out of the box, but it lost it very quickly after. Normally in ruby I have to leave the infected pkmn out of the box and wait for the clock to hit 12 before I would lose it.

Is there any reason that it disapates quickly in emerald, and is it really a concern if a pkmn who had, but lost the virus will still gain the double ev's anyway? Is that even true?

I've noticed that as well, that in Emerald the Pokérus sometimes fades quickly. What I do is, I always leave at least two infected Pokémon boxed, then withdraw them when I want to spead it for training. Whilst speading it to the one I want to train, I fill my party with extras so they will become infected too.

It's a good thing I do all my training in XD, where the Pokérus never fades.

Pretty much summerized for ya! I wish my Emerald worked that way seeing as Poke'Rus never leaves my poor Pokemon alone!

The stats only increase faster when you HAVE PokéRus on the selected PKMN, it will all disappear along with it.

Don't forget that a pokemon can only get pokerus only ONCE.
When it looses it, it never gets it again, and you only get the EV boost so long as you have the virus. you can also trade it to fire red or leaf green and it will never leave since those 2 don't have clocks.

The EV's that you got are still there but your EV's will no longer be double afterwards

incorrect. EVs are doubled, as long as the poke had pokerus at some point, even after it's recovered. i know this for a fact, because i always infect my potential trainees well in advance of their EV training, and it still works.

Its all random some can stick around a month some a few hours

my advice would be to raise pokerus infected ones as fast as possible

my question would be

does the pokerus multiply or add with the macho brace?

1EV doubled by pokerus gets doubled again by macho brace
1EV more gets added by pokerus then macho brace gets added as 1 more EV

or Macho brace gives stats by walking around than leveling up
or does the pokerus only effect exp. points

and does exp. share spread EVs equally
for example all having exp. share/pokerus

I have Pokerus on my Sapphire Version. I was killing Manectrics in route 118. Then I decided to check out my Shedinja's stats. Then all of a sudden I see this purple thing near my STATUS. It said "PKRS". I was all like "OMFG!! I Got Pokerus!! OMFG!!" I was so freakn happy! But I knew that it would only last for several days. I played on. 5 days passed and the pokerus was still there! Then a month passed by, and the pokerus was still there! I dont know how it is still on my Pokemon but I am glad it didnt disappear. So I beat all 8 gym leaders. Caught Kyogre. Started EV training it with the Pokerus and the Macho Brace. Then when I leveled up, its Sp. Atk went up by 12! I was all like "No way!". Right now, my Kyogre is Lvl. 53 and its Sp. Atk is 234!

When I start to play my Sapphire version, it says "The internal battery has run dry. The game can be played. However, clock-based events will no longer occur." What does that mean?

Clock-based events are your berries, when people give you stuff everyday, things like that. But internal battery? That means the clock doesn't use the battery power to run but some internal battery keeps it going even tho the GameBoy's off. How old is your GameBoy?

The internal bettery is the battery inside the game. Ruby/saphire/emerald all have batteries inside the gamepak and that battery is used to due clock functions. as far as i know, that's all it does. And since the battery is dry, you basically can't grow berries, the pokerus won't fade, because both are related to the clock. also, shoal cave will never change tide and you can only evolve eevee into one of the 2 espeon/umbreon unless u manually change the clock.
NOTE: this isn't the berry glitch which causes a similar occurance only to the berries
