Pokerus on Rt. 102, Shininess shows on main menu???

Hi everybody,

I did a search for my questions and I couldn't find them, so if they've been answered somewhere else please let me know. While playing Emerald I was using my treeko and looking for a ralts in the patch of grass where Wally first catches his ralts. I was battling for a really long time and when I went to the petalburg pokecenter to heal, I got PokeRus and the PokeRus message. Later on when I got to fallarbor town, I found a shiny slugma. When I view the shiny slugma in the "Pokemon" menu or in one of the PC boxes, it is gray(it's shininess is visible). Are these happenings normal? I thought you could only get PokeRus near Verdanturf? I also read on the forums that shininess isn't supposed to appear in the storage PC boxes or in the main menu?

Who told you that? PokeRus can be obtained anywhere, and shininess does appear in the store PC boxes. When you read something on the forums check to see who said it, the person might be someone that has NO idea what he/she is talking about.

Pokémon Professor?
PokéRus and Shiny Pokémon aren't related in anyway whatsoever. You can catch PokéRus and catch Shiny Pokémon anywhere where wild Pokémon lie. Maybe Trainers as well, I'm not too sure about that.

were you get those crazy ideas? you cab get pokerus anywere and yes shineies do come up in the bxes and menu's!

Hold up hold up hold up.. I know this isn't the entire reason of your post but if you can see teh shiny pokemon in your main menu and stuff then why are you asking if you can if you can? lol..

Anyways i guess your question has been answered like 6 times now so YES.

Poke Freak and other people on these forums say that shininess is not visible in the main menu or boxes, while shippo, myself, and other people have experienced that shinies do show up. I'm not trying to knock anybody's credibility at all. You're all way more experienced than I am and probably have way more experience with shinies.

There's also a tip on there that says a good moveset for a Tyranitar is Thunder, Blizzard, Fire Blast, and Sandstorm. You can't always trust all the tips on there, maybe if it's multiple people saying the same thing or if you've seen it on a few different sites.
