My pokemon have the pokerus, and like it says on this site it has been very useful with raising my pokemon, (sometimes EV's have increased by 5 after the pokemon have reached the next level!), but after I had beaten the elite 4 I decided to train some pokemon to fill the pokedex, so i put my team away except for Sceptile (all of my team had the pkrus), and started to level up these pokemon, and the virus disappeared from Sceptile! A little dot was left near the poke ball and the level on the status page, but the pkrus status had gone. None of the pokemon I was training caught the virus, but the pokemon I put away had it still, so I withdrew them but Sceptile never got the virus. I don't know why, but I was just wondering if anyone on here has ever experienced the virus, and if not I have some information, and some questions:

I caught the virus by fighting loads of wild pokemon, I believe that the virus came from a Duskull.

As far as I can tell, the virus did no harm to my pokemon.

I traded over one of my pokemon to Leaf Green, the virus did not register there, and I traded it back and it still had it.

Sceptile is the only pokemon to lose it's virus, I cannot transfer the virus to other pokemon apart from the ones I originally trained in my team.

I wonder if I can breed pokemon to have the virus. I will test this.

Most of my team were lv5 breeded pokemon from Leaf Green, Sceptile is the only one from Ruby in my team, do traded pokemon catch the virus easier than non traded ones?

Does the virus disappear because of the high EV levels? Or because I was using different pokemon in my team?

If anyone can answer these that will be good, if not, I will do my best to find out!

the virus disappears after two or three days. I f you want to infect other pokemon after your infector loses the virus, catch something and infect it and put it in your PC.

It disappears after a set amount of time. (I forget exactly when, but I think it's 24 hours in your party or so...) that's pretty much all I know, and I assume you know the POKeMON can't get it back once it's gone. wish I could be of more help.

I think it's been with my pokemon longer than 2-3 days, maybe about 4 or 5 days (unless you mean the game's days and not realtime), I'll try Dragonite's trick, but does a space in the party have to be left when catching a pokemon?

While your Pokemon is in the PC, the Pokerus will never go away, but if your Pokemon is in your team it will disappear after a set amount of time, leaving the "dot" status, which means your Pokemon can never catch Pokerus again. That is why it went away on your Septile and not on the Pokemon you put into the PC.

Pokerus will only spread if you have the Pokemon with Pokerus in your PARTY, not in the PC. It will spread to the Pokemon directly above and below it in your party, so put it in one of the middle slots so it will spread quickly.

Since LeafGreen (as well as FR) have no clock, Pokerus will stay on a Pokemon forever there, but it can not be spread to others.

I don't believe you can breed a Pokemon to be hatched with Pokerus.

Hopefully this will clear up some of your questions.
