I looked many times everywhere, but I never found anything that could really and clearly answer my question. It's about pokerus, of course ^^; After you get it, it wears off after a while ( forgot after how long ) but I heard that if you put an infected pokemon in your PC, it will not wear off right away. Now, would it be possible to KEEP the virus that way; by placing an infected pokemon in your box, training your party ( which will grow much more than usual) and when the virus wears off your party, you take the infected pokemon in your box, place it in the party again, and let the virus spread again. I could restart this again after, they would always be infected and grow with better stat points. I was just wondering if this could be possible, so anyone that has the experience with pokerus, or the knowledge to tell me, please do ^^; i could train every pokemon I want with awesome stats, and I also wonder if it stays when you trade ^^

no, once the pokerus has worn off it is gone unless it is in your box.but a pokemon wont be caught with it again.like an immuneity i guess,but it isnt called a virus.

pokerus affects a pokemon even after it's no longer active. it stays on traded pokemon, and only wears off of pokes in your party, not the PC. the purpose of "saving" it on something in the computer is to infect new pokemon after it's worn off of your other ones, so the new one can get the boosts as well.

I knew someone (at least one person) with POKERUS in their name would show up here ^^ many people have that

Okay, i'm just very curious about pokerus. I already got it in Silver version (that was long ago!) and I was worried ^^; of course, i was training my pupitar ( it evolved into tyranitar later on) by battling wild pokemon. I just thought about it in emerald version, it would help to train strong pokemon if I could save it in my PC and take the pokemon out to infect the newcomer, maybe i'll come across it again, trade it in all my games and have strong pokemon then in every game (which is my goal!)

That would be fine, it's only Pokemon that have caught it before and had it's effects wear off that are immune to catching it again. You can tell these ones apart because there's a small black dot beside their Pokeball icon in the status screen.

okay so i'll only have to catch it once to be fine^, because it doesnt wear off in the storage system^^

You CAN catch it in silver, that i know as it happened to me ^^; i have no proof though ( it was a while ago ^^; ) all you can do is trust what i just said

i trust you.nothing ever hapened to me in my older games like shinies or whatever,so.....yea.

i've never been lucky either ^^; no shinies or anything when some people have over ten. Pokerus is the only unusual thing that ever happened to me, and it had to be in SILVER!;.;

Well, i guess i'll go pokerus-hunting, while hoping to find a shiny o.o

Yep, Pokerus has been around since G/S/C, just like shinies.

All I wanted to add was that once Pokerus wears off of a Pokemon, it can't catch it again (as said above) and a dot will appear next to its status, which tells you that Pokemon already had Pokerus and can't get it again.

However, Pokemon with the dot STILL gain the double EV bonus that Pokemon who have the actual virus do!
