um...ok i have a volbeat at 14 and i'm trying to get my starmie, houndoom and porygon2 all 40 or above with pokerus the volbeat has it and i'm having them all battle but they won't get it whats wrong?

You need to catch the volbeat.

If you are playing FireRed or LeafGreen, Pokerus will not spread due to the lack of an internal clock in these games. You will need to trade your Volbeat and any Pokemon you want to have Pokerus over to a Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald game if you want to spread the Pokerus.
