Pokerus

I was wondering if anyone can help me. My Gliscor and Bagon recently got infected with a Pokerus. Is there a way to permanently keep the Pokerus on my pokemon?

Yes. But you have to keep one of the infected Pokemon in your PC in order to make sure the virus doesn't go away.

The virus stays on your Pokemon for 24 (I think) hours, until you'll see a smiley face icon on it. The Pokemon still has it at that point, but it's not longer spreadable.

So infect some Pokemon you don't care about and stick them in your PC so that you'll always have it.

I think they meant more along the lines of "permanently active on a single pokemon" which there is no way since it goes away eventually

it takes around 2-3 days, and it only occurs at midnight.

The virus "disappears" (the infected Pokémon can not spread it around anymore) when your in-game clock strikes 00:00 or 00:01 (not entirely sure). You can prevent this by keeping the infected Pokémon in your PC.

In Black and White, I think that Pokerus only lasts for a day. However, in the 4th Generation games, it stays for two days. To preserve the Pokerus, dump the Pokemon in your PC. When you are finished using it, at the end of the day, put it back in your PC. Therefore, you'll always have it. That's what I'm doing on Black and White to keep mine, anyway. :p

Also, you don't really need to keep it active on all your Pokemon - even if it gets cured, all the effects of Pokerus stay behind. As long as you have an infected Pokemon in your PC, you essentially have all your Pokemon infected with it.

The smiley face icon means that pokerus has gone from the pokemon, but the effects of the virus still remain. So if your Gliscor has the smiley face icon, it will still be receiving double EVs from every battle. Basically, once a pokemon has been infected it never loses the effects. Hopefully that sums it up for you.

See I bought a used Platinum Version the other day and along with all the Pokemon I could ask for (Darkrai, Arceus, ect.) alot of the pokemon had pokerus and it I sent them over to my SS game where I am currently raising my competitive team, and all my pokemon that I am raising got infected with Pokerus.

I had also noticed that this person had a level 100 shiny Metagross with a Pokerus, and all of its stats were at the maximum like every stat was EV'd. So yeah that's why I am so into the pokerus right now!

Thanks all for the help, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it!
