Oh damn, T~T
It kind of pains me to know that some Pokeshippers are really about to let go of the ship (Sorry if I used the wrong term), all because Misty hasn't made an appearance yet and had a communication with Ash. Personally, I'll be fine with just a plain conversation between them, even if it's not really that mushy... It's just that at least seeing the two talk may spark up hopes again or something. But until then, I wait...
Yeah, I know. I've been with Pokeshipping since the beginning. I don't want to let it go, either, but I don't know what else I can do to stay interested. I feel so...out of the loop when it comes to Pokemon in general as of late. Pokeshipping (as well as Misty in general) was basically my only reason for returning to the Pokemon fandom again in 2004. Since both have been gone, it's been really hard for me to stay interested.
I've never really been a fan of the "main pokemon concept" - the pokemon themselves, training, and battling. I won't lie, the only thing that ever made me give a damn about Pokemon was the (Poke)shipping
and Pikachu, which was my entire reason for getting into it in the first place. XD; I was really lucky when there was Contestshipping in AG. I mean, it was no Pokeshipping (no offense), but I still enjoyed it very much. DP has Dawn and Penguinshipping, which I reallyreallyreally love, but Kenny seems to have dropped off from the face of the earth, so. >>; Who knows what will happen with him and Dawn.
It just feels like it's the same thing for us every year. We all figure that Misty will get at least one episode, but it hasn't happened since 2005. Now that it's 2009, that makes it
four years since she has actually appeared in an episode. The lure and her being in the latest opening is great and all, but there comes a point where I just want to be selfish, and feel like it is not enough. I just don't think we should have to settle for the minimum. I understand that the show is constantly going in new directions with the plot and characters, but...yeah. If these cameos are the only reminder we're going to get that Misty (and where is the little hint that Pokeshipping is still alive?) still exists, then I don't see any reason why I should care if the writers don't think she (and her relationship with Ash) is important enough.
Oh gosh, I ranted. >_> I'm sorry, guys. Anyone who read that...thanks for listening. I'm not even sure if I made much sense. XD; I don't mean to offend anyone, either. Maybe some of you guys can help me from feeling this way, because I really don't like it at all.
If possible, can anyone direct me to new (and not to mention,
well written) fan fiction? I'd really, really appreciate it. It's hard to find anything from 2006 onward that has an actual plot...unless I'm looking in the wrong places. :|
The same goes for fan art. The number of Pokeshipping fanartists decreases every few months or so on Pokemon-Search. It seems like it's just Miyabic and Teppo, as well as new fanartists such as COLOR, are the only ones who continue to draw Pokeshipping. The latest Miyabic art put me in a squee fit, lol, and I'd love to see more new fan arts. :[
Would you like to eventually see old Pokeshipping moments eventually remade with the way that the show is drawn?
Not really. I guess it'd be cool, though. I miss the "old" animation a lot sometimes. What I'd rather see is NEW moments happening. <_<;
