Which is better

Poliwrath or Politoed

as i am wanting one but dont no which to get.

It will have at least surf and ice beam

I prefer Politoed -It has better Special Attack and slight more Special Defense. Plus it doesn't have flying/psychic weakness. Don't get me wrong Poliwrath is good, but not good for special attacking-go with the toed.

I'd go with Politoed basically for the same reasons as Gentleben said. Not to mention it looks somewhat cooler.

Although Polwraith is easier to get.. :/

You could always get both. I mean Poliwag isnt rare.
But if you want to get one get Politoad. Its much better.

Get poliwrath because of his type combo. if you want a pure water type there are better choices out there...

Politoed is better for Special Attacks. Poliwrathis better for Physical Attacks.

Since you want Surf and Ice Beam, I say Politoed...

since you want a moveset with surf and icebeam go with polited because it has a higher sp.attk then poliwrath. But imo i like poliwrath better just because...

Poliwrath but only for combos. Like belly drumming focus punching is my fav and actually works on him...he needs a sub and hes got speed. But poliwrath is better choice overall cuz he wont always get 1hkoed by a thunderbolt. Politoed looks like a good water but what it has in special attack it dont have attack. Still will get koed by giga and thunderbolt. All depends focus punch or surf...

Poliwrath is much a better phys. sweeper. Not a sp. sweeper.

Poliwrath has always been so much more expendable to me, but Politoed is what you should use here since you've already indicated that you want Surf and Ice Beam. Those two moves would be a waste of two slots on Poliwrath.

Politoed is okay but I recommend that if you do, give it this MS:
Surf
Ice Beam
Perish Song

You could always get the 2 of them,And as all the others sayed poliwrath isn't a good sp.attacker where as Politoed is and water pokemon don't have many physical attacks.Poliwrath should be considered more as the fighting type than water.(I know it lives in water and all that but it should be a fighting type.)
However IMO,I like poliwrath.

It actually depends on what type you want, what movesets you want, which face you want. But to me, i go for politoed cause its more rare and i dont go into physical movesets which poliwrath excels at too much.
