I sure as hell wouldn't want Rocket Dan to leave. Their comic relief has saved many an episode from becoming absolute crap (ex. "The Nokocchi are Gone!?"), and their feature episodes are some of the best the series has to offer. Though, in spite of them being comic relief, it would be nice if they got a little more credit than they get (poor, poor Habunake's been turned into a joke -_-... sure didn't take long for the writers to forget how it nearly slaughtered Kimori, prompting the guy's first serious training session, during its premiere).

Also, for the people complaining about the motto, it has been altered ever since AG started. First it was given new background music, then the motto itself changed at the beginning of Battle Frontier, and now in DP, it's been given another make-over.

Without them, unless they got some lame replacements, there would be no conflict in episodes.

So yeah, they're pretty much essential to the whole scheme of things.

James is my favourite character, so no, I'd hate for them to leave, and I'd probably stop watching if they ever did. Their motto is kind of a part of their job, what doesn't make sense is why Ash and co. don't just attack them half way through it.

Team Rocket always get the best Pokemon aswell, it's just evil never wins in a childrens show.

I personally find Team Rocket to be irritating, since they're in every episode, but at the same time I wouldn't want them to leave. I just wish they would do something different for a change instead of stalking Ash and co. around using the same old robots in a pointless attempt to steal Pikachu. They could at least alternate how they tried to capture him.

they were done by the end of indigo league,
and it makes for too many main characters in an episode, for exmple, right now,
you have: brock, max, may, ash, pikachu, jessie, james, wobuffet, and now mime jr.
it makes the story arcs take THAT much longer

Team Rocket is just weird altogether. But not a crazy weird but a funny kind of weirdness. Their moto is tiring but to say the truth, Team Rocket wouldn't seem right without it.
