Yes, there's a porn aisle in convenience stores. Japan is very lenient about pornography, and thus most young children get accustomed to it right away. This is probably attributed to the high amount of rape in Japan: seeing it in a book or on the internet will only satisfy you for so long, and you end up wanting the real thing, whether it's by consent or not. Little kids already have unbalanced hormones, so when they can walk in the store, buy some candy and read through a Shonen Jump and Erotica Magazines, they're not going to be able to control themselves when those little hormones get out of hand.
I also cite a Japanese professor on this one, as she says rape is pretty common, and her research pointed mostly to porn. But, porn isn't evil, as this topic says. People are evil, and porn just gives them more ideas (not being sarcastic, just paraphrasing the majority of this thread).
