Possible Item Duplication?

I just had an idea: If you had two R/S/E's and you made a team with all your good items as attachments, then mixed records, could you thief/covet them from the team in the other game? I assume you can't because it feels kinda obvious to me, but I figure its worth a try. I may try this later if I get the time.

I posted the same question a while ago... You can use Thief/Covet/Trick and take your opponents items and use them during the same battle. But after the battle they will be returned...

You can, but they will be returned after the battle. If you could you could just attach a master ball and keep thiving/coveting until you got tons of them, but of course, you can't. =(
