[SPOIL]He is in a group called Akatsuki. There is a leader. It is not Itachi. Put 2 and 2 together. Jiraiya and Orochimaru are also on par with Itachi, despite what Oro says. Sasori is also on par, maybe even stronger than Itachi. Hell, even Kakashi becomes comparable to Itachi once Kakashi gets the Mangekyou Sharigan[/SPOIL]
