Now some leaks have come out, I'm close to settling on final teams for each Starter:

After reading about the Kalos starters will be available for transfer. I'm hoping for HOME compatibility to be unlocked early.
I'm planning to use my transferred Pokemon GO Greninja for water coverage alongside Fuecoco. I will be buying Violet so i will also be tracking down Larvitar.

Home compatibility was announced as early 2023. Sword and Shield received support in mid-February 2020 which is about 3 months after the games release. I would plan on that being about the time these games are supported.
