Fuecoco line
Lechonk
Bellibolt
Greavard
Firagarif
?
And for Violet so far:
Quaxly line
Pawmi
?
?
?
?
I was going to use Pikachu for Violet but decided to make a change because I want to give the new Pokemon a chance. Also, I'm not sure who I want for the one open spot on Scarlet or the four open ones on Violet
After reading about the Kalos starters will be available for transfer. I'm hoping for HOME compatibility to be unlocked early.
I'm planning to use my transferred Pokemon GO Greninja for water coverage alongside Fuecoco. I will be buying Violet so i will also be tracking down Larvitar.

Home compatibility was announced as early 2023. Sword and Shield received support in mid-February 2020 which is about 3 months after the games release. I would plan on that being about the time these games are supported.
- Skeledirge
- Pawmi, if its final evolution does end up being Electric/Fighting
- Vaporeon or the superhero dolphin
- Lilligant
- Lokix or the Dark dog
- Farigiraf or the Psychic ostrich
- Quaquaval
- Gogoat
- Ceruledge
- Florges or Fidough
- Clodsire
- the Electric/Flying bird
I'd also like to use the female version of Oinkologne, but only if it's not pure Normal-type and gets a second typing, just by looking at it I'm guessing it might be Normal/Fairy, but we'll see.
Since this last post, I've re-thought some of the team ideas:
Team Scarlet:
- Meowscarada
- Armarouge
- Tinkaton
- Garchomp
- Paldea Tauros - pure Fighting-type version
- either Clawitzer, Vaporeon or Palafin
Team Violet:
- Quaquaval
- Ceruledge
- Kilowattrel
- Gogoat
- Florges
- either Clodsire or Garganacl
I'm still debating on what to put on a Skeledirge team, I don't really like the idea in my last post now. I may wait to see if there's a Scarlet and Violet Expansion Pass and what Pokemon are available in that.
With all the leaks I've been able to put together a team for each of the games, I put a little group picture for each team in my signature, but i'll write them out aswell.
I've really taken a liking to most of the bird pokemon this gen, which is unusual.
After much deliberation, here's what I'm aiming for. I couldn't decide on just six 'mon this time around; I'll instead swap party members according to my needs:
Confirmed: Skeledirge
Tinkaton
Dundunsparce (3 segment)
Water Paldean Tauros
Other potential members: Cyclizar, which I will pretend is my Miraidon actually helping in battles
Iron Treads
Might also trade an Iron Treads for a Great Tusk to use
Kilowattrel
I've whittled my shortlist down to 13 and honestly I might just use them all.
LOCKS:
Meowscarada
Spewpa (my favourite Pokemon and now it has a 4 viable moves. Going to challenge myself and not evolve it)
Ceruledge/Armarouge (I'm getting Violet but I like Armarouge better)
Mabosstiff
Farigaraf
Working out movesets but, having complained about the designs of
Pawmot
and
Palafin
on the other thread, I can't ignore the stats and the spread of moves these two have, plus the latter's ridiculous ability.
Baxcalibur
has an insanely cool ability that makes it impervious to fire moves, so the general idea with this one is to use him as something of a hard hitting Dragon Dance user.
Skeledirge
with unaware and his move spread/sp attack stat is going to be a bulky special sweeper,
Revavroom
with his type and speed/attack will be a physical one.
Finally
Dachsbun
has virtually the same ability as
Baxcalibur
and has some good moves and coverage, if a bit mediocre in the stats department.
Overall offensively looking good across most of the types, pretty good defensively too and resists a fair few too.
