I think giving one character all three starters is a mistake. I think it's best if they distribute one starter per main/major character.
This!
No matter who it is, giving all to the same character is a big mistake.
I mean look at Inteleon, he basically disappeared!

I'd love to see Ash with Sprigatito, the girl can have Dewey duck

I don't disagree. I'm just saying the anime could do that.

Crazy idea likely brought on by Post-Thanksgiving tiredness. I work at a grocery store (in the bakery). SO. VERY. TIRED. I hate last second shoppers.

Where was I? Oh yeah, there are three storylines in Paldea right? The Titans, Team Star, and the League. What if Ash makes three teams: Pikachu, a Starter, and four random guys for each storyline?

I'm done hoping Ash gets more than six. It's hopeless

I just want James to get Gimmighoul(For the love of all things holy don't evolve it!) and Jessie, Tinkatink

Nah the girl should get Fuecoco. I think Ash will be the one who ends up getting it instead though if his other biting gag Pokémon are anything to go by.

Just the thought of JN continuing makes me sick. I still haven’t been able to play SV (my copy got lost in the mail, how fun) but from all the talk I’m hearing about the plot, characters, and general atmosphere of the game I need everything about it essentially just ported over to the anime. I know if all those story beats and characters were implemented in a satisfying way this could be a great shakeup to the anime’s structure.

Ash is the problem at the heart of it. It’s looking less likely he just vanishes from the show but god I wish he would. If I see him AND Go + Koharu next series it would genuinely be disheartening. Idc what the companions or past characters are up to at this point; put the JN formula to rest knowing it was nice while it lasted. I want a new setting and new characters and a new narrative divorced from this world tour structure.

That being said, I like the TR short with Sprigatito. JN ending with 135 makes sense since there’s 2 more starters to show off in 2 more episodes. I don’t necessarily think these are indicative of anything but it’s nice to see next gen promo again

I know this thought is dumb/crazy (I blame my tired brain), but what about the games themselves? Like each generation is based around a duo of conflicting or complementary opposites (generally with a third thing like Land and Sea having Sky). They have quite frankly checked off all the big important world shaping stuff. Of course I'm tired as **** right now and just rambling whatever is coming to mind so I'm probably missing something. Like they haven't done anything with Normal, Rock, Grass, and Bug yet. And I know the last three can form a trio going with the Mineral, Vegetable, and Animal Kingdom Triad so there is that.

Anime idea: I vote for Ash to be a teacher. And he doesn't do the formal league challenge instead he fights the gym leaders to test their skills and makes sure they're qualified for their jobs after Geeta requests him too because reasons I can't think of right now.

You see what it evolves into? Ain't no way the girl's getting Fuecoco lol
I don't see the trend of girls getting girly Pokemon stopping anytime soon :/

In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night ...
Thats why I did not say her name, why are you spoiling it?
I think the fact she wears an Eevee backpack made it obvious enough.

This is bs and you know it.
Battle wins are always decided by Plot. Concepts like Type advantages are silly arguments.
The current Plot dictates Ash is an OP Battle experience with an OP rat that bested the strongest trainer owned Pokemon in the world.

At this Point, to make Ash lose convincingly, they'd have to pull a Dragon Ball Super.
Ash at this point is Goku with Mastered Ultra Instinct. Only difference is that there aren't the Angels or Grand Priest (Other characters who are stronger than him). At this point they'd have to keep introducing new characters and randomly make them extremely OP to allow Ash to lose convincingly. So basically current Ash is Mastered MUI Goku that beat Jiren (Leon). Moro, Granolah & Gas will be the new Paldea Champions who trivialize MUI Goku.

Then comes Cameron as the new Black Frieza who at this stage would be 100X stronger than Leon (Jiren).
It’s not BS the only way that Pikachu wins against a ground type is if they happen to have a battle near water. Otherwise if he is not near water then like with his last two battles with Golurk, he will get beat.

135 is not the last episode of JN.
More episodes will follow.
That’s one hell of a title for a random episode.

I know there’s more episodes after but what are the odds those belong to a new series? Correct me if I’m wrong but all the schedule showed was Pokémon continuing in that time slot, not specially if it was JN or not.

My ideal way for Pikachu to deal with ground types is setting up electrowebs all over the battle area to act as springs for Pikachu to jump to and fro, building up so much momentum that iron tails become damaging enough to destroy the ground mons
Nice to see the two of you literally forgot about Pikachu effortlessly destroying Gastrodon without literally taking any damage and to top it off, the Gastrodon was being used by the Second Strongest Trainer in the World at that time.

They cannot belong to the new series, because it was not announced.
It's probably obvious that they are part of JN.
