The 2011 Graphic Contest

Hello, contestants.As you may have guessed, this is a contest. A graphic contest, if you will. I am pupintheturd, I will be your host, judge and your complaints person.
I will also explain how we run this. We will have rounds; the amount of rounds is dependent on the amount of participants. Each round you will have to give us two graphics: an icon and a banner.
We will judge both graphics from 1 to 10 on each of these points:
'Who are "we"', you ask? We are the judges and creators of this contest:
At the end of every round, we will count the amount of points earned. The person who has the lowest amount of points will have to leave. We will continue this way until we have reached a conclusion; that is, this year's winner.
To make sure this game doesn't become boring, there are special rounds.
Normal Round: The most common round; ONE icon and ONE banner.
Wallpaper Round: Instead of an icon and a banner, you'll only make a wallpaper.
Banner Round: Instead of an icon and a banner you'll have to make TWO banners (No icon).
Icon Round: Instead of an icon and a banner you'll have to make TWO icons (No banner).
Collaboration Round: You will be teamed up in pairs and each pair has to make an icon and a banner. Be wise when deciding on 'who does what'.
Require Mental Round: Extreme requirements will be given. You will only have to make ONE banner or icon (depends on the requirements)
When we notify you about what round it'll be we will boldface and use size 3 on the text.

You have to make you own graphics. This also means you can't use sites like [noparse]mybannermaker.com[/noparse]
Don't show disrespect towards other participants or their graphics
Hand in your graphics (on time).
Follow the medium and the theme
No objecting to our judgement; all complaints will have to be sent to pupintheturd
Failure to following these rules will result in a disqualification
Theme, time-limit and medium will be specified every round.
You may also be thinking what you gain from winning. You'll be crowned 'Best Graphic artist of 2011'. And the top 3 get a prize from our Northern Lights to prove they've participated and are one of the best graphic artists on SPPF.

Following of the theme/requirements. (Have you followed the theme and the necessary requirements?)- Appeal and expertise (Appeal: how does it look? Is it nice to look at?) (Expertise: light source, blending of the render, render choice (solely on image quality)... etc.)
- Originality (Originality doesn't stay un-rewarded)
