Is the Prima guide for FRLG worth the price ($13.49)? I'm thinking about getting it just so I don't have to check the computer every so often for maps and other things like that. If someone could tell me, that'd be great.

The Prima guides tend to have more mistakes in them than the official Nintendo ones. I'd go for the latter, I've never been disappointed with official guides.

They skipped the freakin' info on the Sevi Islands! I'd get Nintendo Power personally and I don't think it's really worth the price

Thanks.

Do you guys think Barnes and Noble would have the Nintendo guide? I'm going there, and I don't want to make it a wasted trip, so if they don't have it I might have to pick up the Prima one.

You must be mistaken. They weren't talking about nintendo power, they're talking about the ninendo guides to specific games. We all know that nintendo power never has enough infomation.

I bought the prima guide for this game and was very, very, disappointed. It provided a lot of the core basics, but relatively nothing extra. I won't buy another Prima guide and the best guide I ever purchased was made by Nintendo.

Anyone remember the " Pokedex " guide for G/S? God, I adored that thing, rated the strengths and weaknesses of all the Pokemon's stats, where you could find them, all their moves. It was all I needed for that game, I wish I had one for FR/LG

Anyway, I say stick to the Nintendo one, Prima let me down on this game.

Don't feel bad, Prima let me down too. I bought the Emerald Prima guide instead of Nintendo because it looked better and I found mistakes before the walkthrough even started.

Bought it, and on the Kingdra in the PokéDex it says use a Water Stone to evolve it. Bummer. There were also a couple levels wrong for your Rival.

There's mistakes, but the maps is really what I wanted.

EDIT: Wow, they have Cut (HM01) as TM03. That's pretty awful right there.
